Rachel lets out a belch as she finishes the cell she had been working on, then goes over to check out the cell the bee had been pointing at.

Rachel sticks her head in and looks around, wondering what in the world the bee could be getting at, although she's quite happy it's not trying to attack her.

The bee nudges her from behind, respectfully but insistantly.

Rachel lets out a sigh and climbs in, crawling into the cell.

The worker turns around and begins vomiting forth wax. Others join, creating a layer to close the single cramped cell in over her.

"Aaaaagggggh!!!" Rachel shouts as she starts pounding on the wax. A few moments later she curls into a fetal position, rocking herself and closing her eyes. "I'm in a wide open field... I'm in a wide open field!!!!"

Rachel's cry of alarm cuts through the air, just audible above the buzz of bees and the muffling wax.

((Sorry I disappeared for a month without warning!))
The pheromones, mildly stinging Taralina's eyes, did little to quell her adrenaline rush. The depths of her lizard brain firing, she lost her cool and tried to charge her way out of the sticky nectar, struggling in vain against it and flailing. For a moment she almost choked on some of it as her head was lost beneath its surface, but she struggled back to the top of it, still howling as loud as she could, still stumbling.
Suddenly she heard Rachel's cries of fear from across the hive, and her animalistic struggling was forced to kowtow to her rational mind, again. Her efforts became more concerted, and she struggled to the edge. She'd lost her maul in the vat, but her spear was still at hand, so she clambered up the side and marched swiftly after the sound, stabbing if necessary.

The sound of rachel's screams was muffled, almost lost in the droning of wings, but getting stronger.

Taralina pressed on, running with surprising speed for such a tall, muscular figure. There was recklessness in that run, and if the bees didn't get out of her way she was going to trip while trampling them. When she found Rachel, she was going to smash anything between them and then worry about finding a way out.

The last worker departs, after applying the final coating and sealing off the chamber. Rachel's form was still visible through the translucent beeswax.
Up ahead, there was a clouds of vexed pheremones as startled bees hurried out of Taralina's way.

She didn't curb her momentum, instead using it to aid her assault on the barrier, which she made shoulder-first.
