Sarah allowed herself to be helped by the priest, for she was a little wobbly in the legs. Seriously, it didn't feel like she had been out for very long. She was going to answer the priest but was cut off by Strake's hasty request. She had remembered what Melody said about him, and gave Zack a worried look. She wasn't so sure what Strake might do. If he was a bad demon, like Melody was implying, was he trying to dispose of Melody and Priest Charles?

Zack, however, had his hands over his eyes, his head tilted downward as he exited the room. The sight and smell of blood was getting to him more so than he could stand. When Melody had rushed to him so quickly, it cause his vision to blur and spin, his eyes not ready for such movement. As he exited he immediately turned towards the main sitting room, falling onto the first peice of furniture he could get a quick glance at, an ugly green colored love seat. This was all too much for him to handle.

Kevin sat next to him, and Tristan and Jay chose the ugly green colored couch, larger than an average couch, seating five.

"That girl is right," Kevin said. "You don't look too good, man. Maybe some rest might clear your head."

Jay shook his head and sat back. "I don't know what happened in there, man, but hearing you freak out like that caused a stir of concerned emotions." He was referring to when they first came into teh room after Strake had kicked the door down.

Zack laughed slightly through his nose, and shook his head. "You have no idea."

The Priest looked to the demon, slightly confused on what the boy wanted to speak to him about. "Well, alright; just let me find a spot for the young lady here, and I'll be back in a moment." he said, as he followed the sounds of the three boys til he found them on the couch.

Sitting the girl on the couch with the three boys and saying "I shall be back shortly.", the Priest went back up into the room and shut the door behind him, now just him, the demon, and Amadeus.

"It's up to you if you want to stay or not, Amadeus; I won't stop you if you leave nor chase you out." he said kindly to the man, before turning to the demon.

"So, we meet again! What is it you wanted to ask me?" he asked, going to a chair himself and sitting down.

Melody continued to sleep in peace, not at all stirred by the voices in the room; the medicine was keeping her out cold.

Lily had spent awhile watching the magic show; she loved seeing the children's faces light up at the man's comedy! She had come to this same booth alot when she was a little girl, and she'd always get her father to bring her here. They were teh same tricks and many thought her a fool for continually going every single year, but she had cared not; the man was a genious. The man had even known her name a few years in a row at one point, but chances are the man wouldn't recgonize her by now.

But it appeared taht she was mistaken, as the man's current performance came to an end, he took a double take at the bench not to far away and took off his eye mask.

"Well, bust my buttons, if it isn't Lily! Come over here and help me set up for the next round, if you'd like, that is."

Surprised to death and jumping slightly, Lily smiled and nodded as she came over and looked at all the ancient puppets and things that were still in use after several years, many she remembered seeing herself when she was younger.

"Ah, I missed seeing you here last year; I heard you were sick at the time of the festival. A shame, really." the man sounded kind of sad at this notion.

Lily nodded. "Yeah, bad time for me to catch the flu."

"Bummer; well, at least your well now, especially to witness the crazy thing I heard happened at the battle of the bands earlier.. Hey, I just thought of something. My assistant is on break at the moment; you wanna help me in the next show? I didn't get a chance to do the butterfly double act; you wanna help?" he asked; he usually didn't offer this to many people, but not many would come by his booth every year.

"I-I......I'd love to!" she said, sort of speechless. "Thanks!"

"No problem.....ah, better run through it again. You probably know how it works by now, but just for old times' sake..."

They continued to set up for the next bunch of small kids, Lily in a much better mood. It gave her a reason not to go home yet, too; double plus!

"So you remember me? I'm sorry about earlier, it's just I've been in human disguise for so long. My rudeness actually saved your life, because I would have been unable to control myself if I didn't let that out and I would have burst into a killing frenzy. Well I guess you know that I'm not hostile in this form and I won't kill you as a demon. Do you think you could convince that angel that I have no meens to kill her as well. If Zack has found out could you also tell him." Strake said to the priest hoping that he would do this.

"I only want to kill Sotan, as well as the other three true elites. I think you should know that Satan is gone. On top of him being gone I also want you to know that I'm his son. Don't be alarmed though, because I'm the reason for him being gone and I'm an exile. Most demon's would attempt to kill me if they found me. This pendant around my neck is Satan's power as well. I don't know if you know any of this already but I want to make sure you do. Oh and just for the record, I Sotan is the demon who was up there when we met and I attacked him because he attacked this angel in the bed. Do you know her name by any chance, and also what is your name?" Strake wanted to make sure that the Priest understood his position entirely and would help him gain the trust of Melody.

Katie was in the other room sitting down on the "ugly" couch. She was waiting patiently and was curious about what Strake was doing. I wonder if he is patching up the old man's wounds, I'm sure he must have gotten a little injured from the breaking through the window.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:27 pm

"I am aware of this truth of Lucifer's disappearance." The Priest nodded slowly, keeping his eyes now on Strake. "They're confused as it is; if they recieve all the information at once it'll be tragic for them all, especially Zack. You saw how he blew up already; he might actually go and try to kill you if I mention it."

"But as for gaining trust on anyone else in that room, well, I can't say it's going to be easy if you tell them. Melody (the angel) nearly got killed by a demon as well as Zack, so chances are she actually might fight you back. Not to mention they didn't see you fight back Sotan, since they already escaped. And it doesn't help that you're his son (assuming what you say is true, since there really IS no evidence of this). I've had a demon tell me this same thing before and it was all lies, and it nearly got me killed in the process. So until I see proof of this, I can only go by your word, which I will go with.

But remember this; as a Priest, I can only do so much to be on your side. Even though you've yet to harm anyone, demons tend to wait for the right moment, as I've learned by my own experiences. Perferably when you're at your weakest. It's how society works, as you should know by now with being in exile. If I take too MUCh action, the others will find it betraying. But I'll have to find out something, but not at the moment, to help you." he nodded. He really couldn't do much for the boy; he had been holding well on his own, and his position made it difficult for hte Priest to be able to do anything..........at the moment.

"Oh! My name; forgot you asked that. Priest Charles." he answered with a small chuckle.

Kevin gave up his seat once he noticed Sarah standing, allowing her to sit down next to Zack. She wanted to talk with him about what happened after she blacked out, but he was sleeping. She understood that, he had a pretty busy and eventful day. Plus, he probably woke up 4 hours earlier than he was usually used to. She would more than gladly let Zack stay here for the night - well, as long as he wanted to, but she knew he wouldn't accept.

((Whooo! Finally all caught up. >_>
Kinda glad I didn't miss too much, though I did feel the need to read all the posts up to this point before posting. Probably a good thing. Anyway...))

Amadeus watched Priest Charles and the young demon, Strake as he found out his name to be, talk about some wildly outlandish subjects. The idea that Satan's own son had defeated him and is now standing face-to-face with Charles... while the old man had an easy-ish time accepting that, Amadeus did not. It went against everything he'd been told that a demon could possibly become good, or even neutral for that matter. All demons were evil, and all demons were on earth for the purpose of stirring up trouble. Whether they planned to create chaos immediately or wait a while was not the issue. All demons were evil. End of story. For the moment, Amadeus would be civil and not attack the demon. It was against the nature of Guardians and Angels in general to strike first, and Amadeus was not going to be the first to break that unwritten code of conduct. However, he would be ever-wary of this demon, no matter how good he claimed to be. The only way Amadeus could even remotely begin to believe him is if he was true to his word and ended up aiding in the destruction of the Gruesome Four.

Otherwise, he was just another manipulating demon and needed to be ousted as soon as possible. While Amadeus was going to be at a truce with him for now, he felt he was obligated to tell the vile creature his stance towards him. It was only fair that the demon knew why he would always act hostile towards him from now until the Four were dead.

He stepped forward and put his hand up, indicating that he wished to speak. "You are lucky, demon, that Priest Charles is a very balanced and unbiased Gifted. Were he not here, or had he not decided to allow you to remain here, I would have done my utmost to expunge, exorcise, or otherwise remove you from this house. If you truly are good, and I very much doubt it, then do not take offense to my hostility, demon. I was raised to hate your kind. Angels create, and demons destroy that which they create. We angels do not take kindly to those who seek to annihilate that which we have worked so hard to raise and guide. And so I shall always regard you with a wary eye, demon. I will make no attempt to remove you so long as Father Charles deems it that you are not a threat. This does not mean, however, that I will trust you like he does. Nothing you can do will gain my trust, so I suggest you get used to it, or take your leave. Guardian Angels are charged with protecting mortals against the likes of you, so you should not expect me to trust you at all. Ever."

He stepped back, folded his arms, and resumed his previously impassive stance. "With that said, by all means continue your conversation."

((Sorry if Amadeus's coldness seems out of character. He's an angel. Strake's a demon. Angels hate demons. End of story. XP))

"Listen for a second, I'm not claiming to be good. I'd be more neutral. I know you won't believe this but the Earth needs balance, that which is created will need to be destroyed. I have found that demon's began destroying much more than angel's could create about 19 years ago. When I found this out I began research on how this happened, hiding my research for the sake of my existance. I eventually came upon the conclusion that my father was the reason for this. His leadership was far too superior to gods. I'm not saying that he could best your lord in a battle, but while he was ruling all demons were born much stronger. I understand this may confuse you when I say 'while he was ruling' but think of it this way, I'm Satan's son. If he can reproduce then that would meen that he wasn't the only ruler of the underworld. Every 200 years or so the ruler changes. Satan was actually fairly recent and started about the 1930s. The great depression was him, the genocide in Rwanda is also him. Those and communist leaders of the 1930s till now were him. But he can actually only do one thing at a time. All the smaller things going on at the same time, like the Nazi's were his elites. Only within the past 40 years did he have the Fearsome Four, and that tipped the scales damatically. I decided that I would need to confront my father, I originally was gonna get him to kill the fearsome four and train no more demons himself, but by an accident I teleported him to another demension. I've been exiled since that day. However over the past 20 years I've been watching creation to destroy ratio, and the fearsome four actually turned out to have more power than my father, and the balance is still in the demon's favor. I don't like you anymore than you like me, but we're on the same side." Strake explained, giving the priest and the angel a good history lesson that they probally couldn't get in heaven.

"Oh and by the way, the demonlord always has the same name as the previous, I don't remember the number that my dad was, probally around 200th I don't know." Strake added in. I really dislike all this stupid predjudice I'm getting, I thought angels could detect alignment or something, turns out they're just like the slave owner to slaves. Strake thought to himself in annoyance.

"So why are you guys being so quiet, nobody feels like talking?" Katie asked. She was standing at the moment. She didn't really feel like sitting. Katie was wondering the time. "Anybody know what time it is, cause I don't have a watch or cell phone."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:02 am

Amadeus's eyes narrowed. This punk had some nerve to not only claim that Satan was more powerful than God, but to also speak with an air that clearly implied, "I'm better than you... get over it." Satan's son or not, he was from Hell, and it didn't matter to Amadeus if he had demensionalized his father or completely destroyed Hell itself. He was a demon and that was a filter through which Amadeus would always view any and all actions committed by Strake. He could claim to be good all he liked, he could do all the good deeds he possibly could, but Amadeus would never be able to shake off the idea that he was doing it for his own benefit and for the ruination of everyone else.

"So you expect me to completely forget everything I was told about demons while I've been in heaven and completely believe everything you've told me in the last five minutes simply because you claim to be "neutral" and on "my side"? Forgive me, demon, but that is not going to happen. All my life as an angel, I've seen nothing but bad things come flying out of Hell. Why should you expect me to treat you any differently? Just because you removed your father? Seems to me that if the Gruesome Four were gone, you'd have no problem stepping up to the plate as King of Hell. Excuse my harsh accusation. I have become... incredibly biased towards your ilk during my stay in Heaven."

And it was true: the death of his first charge was the fault of a demon. He had tricked and beguiled his charge into making some shady friends without Amadeus realizing it. One thing had lead to the next, and his charge was in a gang. The kid was by no means a fighter and died during his first real "Turf War". Among other things, that was one of the reasons Amadeus flatly refused to deal with demons. Lucky for Strake that Charles was more understanding.

((Sorry for skipping over Charles... It was WAY too tempting to respond to Strake first. >_>))

((Welcome back, TMD! ))

Jay laughed at Katie, not unkindly. He Held out his arm, a watch attatched to its wrist. "It's almost five thirty," he said. "You got somewhere to be?"

Tristan and Kevin glanced at Zack...Sleeping before nightfall? Sleeping before the midnight toll of the next day?

Sarah just couldn't sit still. Strake, Priest Charles, and Amadeus were taking a long time.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:47 pm

((Agreed; welcome back!
Oh, and I'll go ahead and say that I'll be gone for a week or so starting Saturday afternoon, July 5th. I'm going to a camp in which we do come back home each night, but chances are it'll be waaaaay too late for me to post.))

Priest Charles merely watched in silence as the two opposite sides clashed on ideals; this was to be expected, since they were on opposite sides of the scale and all, and he didn't interupt at all until he put up a hand as their voices became too loud. After all, they were also in the presense of a sickly angel, who in her sleep had started mumbling and the Priest feared her immue to the medicine and that she would wake up from the arguement (and with Strake in the room, that might not end well, seeing as she feared him dearly). But as she put a hand in the air and waved it about as if reaching for something above her in her dreams, it merely flopped back down on the bed and the girl turned over, letting out a loud snoring sound as she hugged the pillow again. Strange creature, but at the same time amusing to watch. Zack might actually get a laugh or two.

He sighed as he turned first to the demon. "Like I said before, Strake, if you expected everyone to give you a warm welcome with your history and society's predjuice carried on your back, I'm afraid you are highly mistaken. Not just of that, but of the air you carry about you when you speak of such things as history of demons; you forget that they're educated in heaven on such things, as well as with personal experience. Is the education bias? Possibly, but so is your side of the story. But the experience is real, and I doubt that if I were to call, let's say, all the angels in Heaven and Earth to me and ask them one by one, we'd be lucky to get one person saying that demons had potential of being trustworthy.

For you see-" he now looked between the two. "Techinacally, history-wise both of you are right......if you are to be given grades in your homeland's classrooms. But I am no teacher of either one, especially not on Hell's lessons, for that is not my forte." he shrugged as he stood up.

"God and Satan are mortal enemies, since Satan was once a angel who felt he could be better than God. It all started from one insult, which turned into war, which turned into death, and now it worms around us and breaks us apart, keeping us each to our own faith. But it's also the experiences we see and feel today that decide our thoughts on another creature, even more than the history and just waht goes through our ears. It's what we see for ourselves, what we feel for ourselves, what we touch, smell, hear for ourselves, that decides our positions, and it's going to be hard and near impossible to change such things. Especially between angels and demons.

And Strake.....I would be very careful who you give that kind of information to in the future. For if you say that Satan is a mortal and that there's more than one in the long run (and that is me going by your word), that would mean that depending on who in the future, you'd be painting a very large target on yourself, as well as the four who are already marked with targets. It could mean the end of Hell if you aren't careful as your position as his son, and with your parent in another dimension." he nodded, before yawning casually and looking to the door.

"Ah, we've probably been up here for too long; they might be getting worried, and there's still much work to be done. Ohoho, I'm getting old for this! Come now, you two, let's head downstairs and see how our groups are fairing." he said, as he opened up the door and walked out and down the stairs, trusting that the other two would not fight and attack and just come down quietly, since the girl in the room was sleeping peacefully and it would be obvious if she woke up screaming that something had gone wrong.

As he made it downstairs, he noticed that the girl was awake and looking better, and Zack was now the one fast asleep! "Ah, pardon me for taking so long; I'm glad to see that you're feeling better, Sarah. Though I didn't expect Zack to fall asleep so soon; perhaps I said too much at once......." he said, a bit concerned for a moment before looking to teh group again.

"Before I continue with blabbering on with information to some of you, why not take some downtime and relax, let it sink in a bit? Best way for that...hmmm.....ah, why not some food? I'll go get takeout for you all if you don't mind; my treat, since I've been sort of crashing in on your parties and all." he said with a small chuckle. "Any place in particular you want me to go get? I could use the exercise, so no need to worry about me tripping over a pebble and falling like some wrinkly super-old person...."

((lol IRONY, the Priest is actually very old. But I guess he goes by the "you're as young as you feel!" approach. xd ))

((That camp sounds like a lot more fun than how I'm spending my summer...babysitting and watching the Tyra Banks show and genital herpes commercials. @_@...xD ))

Sarah looked up at the priest as they entered the room. She was relieved to see that nothing bad had happened. She wasn't going to lie, but she was nervous, not knowing whether or not Strake was a good demon or not. He seemed legit, seeing as how no one looked hurt, and the priest was in a good mood.

The boys' moods were lifted once the priest mentioned something about food. They hadn't eaten all day, and the events that had passed made them forget that food and hunger even existed. They probably would've forgotten still if the priest hadn't mentioned anything.

"Now that you mention it," Jay started, "I've been hankering for some pizza."

Tristan shook his head in disgust. "No way! That greasy crap? May as well ask for a circular stroke on served a peice of cardboard. I'm all for something orient. Steamed veggies and non-greasy noodles."

Kevin and Jay looked at Tristan and laughed. "You're a man! Eat like one!" Kevin exclaimed. "Just because you act, talk, and dress like a woman, doesn't mean that you have to eat like one."

((Sorry, I have more in my mind, but the kids that I'm babysitting are being bad... stare So I'm going to just post and leave it at this. ))
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 7:25 pm

(( xd
I hope so. It's a music camp, and I dunno how I'll fair compared to everyone else.))

The kids knew not the real reason for wanting to leave the house for a bit, but either way this was another reason right here; to please the others. As he listened to the comments on food, he couldn't help but shake his head with a slight chuckle as the topic of pizza took it's toll. Such undecisive teenagers these days!

"Well, if we're having different tastes, we could grab some pizza and some Chinese food, if that would be alright with you all? Unless you think Zack likes neither one, but I can't ask cause he's obviously asleep and shouldn't be disturbed...."

Strange, both he and the angel seemed to sleep in the same style.....a plesant look upon the face taht seemed to match almost exactly. Except he wasn't hugging a pillow....yet.

Melody continued to sleep peacefully, her mumbles still mostly blurred but an occasional word or two was understandable. Her hair fell about her face and teh pillow as it was now a bit of a mess.

"Fish....grass....pretty lake...Oooh, bunny bunny bunny!" she mumbled, the last more excitedly and she moved about a bit, as if she was trying to catch it.

Strange; she seemed to do better with Earthly words in her sleep...or was she learning in her sleep? Ah, a mystery to all on the outside of her mind!

"Fine, consider me to be doing this out of selfishness than, It's of no consequence. As long as you understand that if the balance goes unchecked demon's would have nothing to destroy and angels would have nothing to create. There would be no need for either, and ultimately this lack of need will lead to a war between the two races. I don't really care for either side, because the humans are really the only ones that matter. I care about humans, not you, I will never care about you. By not caring about you that meens if you died or lived it wouldn't matter and I wouldn't put out the effort to kill you. God tells you the truth yes, he always tells you the truth, but think about what you learned, does it all feel like whole information? When he described to you a cupcake did he ever mention taste? I didn't think so, because if you had that part of the truth, you'd want to eat a cupcake, and after eating the cupcake you may want more and risk becoming a glutton. God keeps truth from you, either to help you, or because the information is not needed. Your information from heaven will rarely be whole. I have a question though, has there ever been an Evil Angel? Satan was, if there can be an evil angel, then there can be a good demon. There is no getting around that, because that is the pure and simple truth." Strake argued, hoping he could get his point across, he was growing quite tired of arguing with an angel who was so thick headed.

I see why god doesn't allow angels to question him, for it would be questioning their faith. By questioning their faith I guess that is considered a no-no, but the reason behind it being a no-no is that god if hiding things from them, atleast I'm pretty sure that's the reason. I didn't know an angel could be so hard to get to though, honestly I thought it'd either attack me, or be reasonable, this guy did niether. Oh I forgot about fear, I guess I lied, I do care about an angel, but it isn't this angel, it's the angel with the bedhead. Strake thought as he looked over to Melody.

"Why not Japanese, or Korean, I would love some Sushi right now." Katie said, putting another option out there, making it even harder to choose. "I don't like China since what they did to Tibet, and I will not eat there food." Katie said strongly opposing China. She honestly hated China, she felt it was growing to be a world power as well as a major competetor to the US. A communist superpower to her meant that there'd be a huge war. What's taking Strake so long up there? The priest already came down.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 01, 2008 9:22 am

((You know what's kinda pathetic? Every time Strake insults Amadeus, overtly or silently, I take it as a personal insult. Geeze, I am getting WAY too much into my character here if that kind of thing is happening to me. >_>))

Amadeus was tempted to fire back another chain of comments to Strake, but checked himself. Charles had said they were done here, so they were done here. Whether the demon got the last comment in or not didn't really matter. Amadeus was right, and Strake was wrong. Angels have the potential to Fall, yes, but demons do not have the potential to Rise. Never have, and most certainly never will. The discovery of vice, straying from the Path, is what causes an Angel to fall. What could possibly lead to a demon's Rise? Surrounded by vice, a demon will never feel tempted to leave what he considers good for something that is more noble and selfless. And why would a demon care about tipping the scales in favor of demons? If anything, he would be happy about it, not against it. War? Demons lust for death and destruction, and those two words fit war perfectly. In short, Amadeus wasn't buying it.

Deciding to internalize those opinions for now, the angel followed Charles into the other room. Since he did not have the ability to Reveal himself to those who could not See, he simly stood in the background, watching them bicker about food, while he waited for something, anything, of importance to happen. He kept a mental check of Melody's life pulse running in the back of his mind. If her life was in danger (i.e. Strake), he would know about it and act with angelic speed to put an end to the problem. In the meantime, all he could do was wait for more instructions, either from the Lord himself, or from a change of events.

As an angel, waiting was something Amadeus was quite skilled at.

The Priest merely stood in silence as the bickering continued; he had not meant to offend Kaite with the random food choice thrown out there. Appartnely she wasn't on good relations with China...

Charles also noted that the angel had come down, but the demon was still up there. "W-Well, should I give you some time to decide first? Just let me know what it is you want to get..." he said, not sure what to do at this point. My my, he really did need to start putting Zack and Melody's plans in order.

What, one would believe that it was as easy as POOF, you're there? Not in this world; there's how Zack knows Melody, how to get them both out of that apartment and into a bigger and less akward place, how to get them on a budget and items needed so they don't go broke (since Zack has another person living with him soon), and since Melody will no longer be able to use disguises, how to keep her from resorting to Zack's clothes..........the one above had it all planned; the Priest just needed a hour or so to start the wheel and get it in motion.

Melody continued to sleep, snoring more now and more Earthly words coming out of her mouth perfectly. She tossed about in some sort of strange dream, completely oblivious to the outside world at the moment.

"Water.....ZZZZZZZ........school.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZz...........snoring...ZZZZ....."

Lily and the "Great Magician were currently still performing at the street booth, entertaining the children with their antics. Strange, she was able to keep up improived comedy so well on stage.....she could never do this in school, so why here?
