Lord Taite waved a hand, reassured that the prince was just foreign. "Yes, we'll be off as soon as you can get the prince to come with you. Won't it be hard to communicate what you want without the translator?" he asked. He turned to look at Lady Maybelline as she discussed Webster's accomodations. Seizing an opporunity he knelt, then took her hand and kissed it. "Lady Maybelline you are truly a beautiful lady inside and out. I'm sure if Webster could speak he would sing your praises for treating him so nobly," he said, looking up at her.

Rylan nodded at the reactions of his companions. "Yes, it suits me just fine if not perfectly." He set his bags on top of one of the beds. "Will we be staying here for a while, or heading to Aaric's room?" he asked. He wasn't sure, but it would be best not to linger considering that the girls weren't allowed in the boys' rooms.

"Maybe she's in her office," Grace said as they descended the last flight of stairs. They knocked on her door but she didn't seem to be there. "I guess she's in the Frog ID classroom. That seems like a strange class, doesn't it? You don't suppose we'll actually be kissing frogs?" Suddenly her stomach felt queasy. "Maybe I should hold off on that snack...."

When Aurora returned his greeting Machi smiled. That word she said, must be the word to greet one another here! "H, hal, low?" He stammered uncertainly, the word foreign to his tongue. But she seemed to understand him just fine. He had wanted to compliment the princess on finding such a friend and to the spider he wanted to know what kind of person Aurora was for it to choose her, but the adults around them were speaking lowly and Machi couldn't help but notice the slight tension. Had he walked in on something important? Maybe they were talking about something serious?
Machi looked from one to the other a little concerned. And from the way their glances kept going to him, it wasn't a wonder why the prince got the notion they were talking about him. "Nxuk?" He asked. What? What ever it was they seemed to want his attention. Perhaps they knew where Fuego was. Fuego could speak their language perfectly so he might have asked them to find him. Maybe? "Fuego?" He spoke his translator's name. Maybe they could help him find Fuego. They were waving their hands about. And Fuego once told Machi that waving could mean good bye and hello. From what Machi could see, the men were turning to leave now. He ought to go with them...He was sure they could understand Fuego's name. And that was then Machi saw one of the males knelt to kiss the woman's hand! What is this?! Was this the way to say good bye to a woman here? Machi wasn't sure, but the woman seemed to like it. SO.....The boy prince turned around to face Aurora he smiled "Halloow!" He said and knelt down on one knee mimicing Lord Taite, to take one of Aurora's hands to kiss it. He got up and spoke to the spider bowing his head respectfully. "Jfihikj Rcqqadw Ro Ifed oei." 'Spirits blessing be upon you!' he said. Then as he followed the older males, he looked to Lady Maybelline and then took a knee again to kiss her other hand! He got up and repeated "Halloo! Jfihikj Rcqqadw Ro Ifed oei." He got up looking to the other two. "Fuego?" he asked again and pointed down the hall, hoping they could help find his aide or his room. Machi actually recalled that's where the aid was headed....

As Lord Taite knelt down in front of her, Lady Maybelline's face remained serena and calm. She did not flinch as the Lord kissed her hand, and only smiled. "Ah Taite. You are quite the gentleman," she said gently, placing her slender hand on Taite's head, almost as if she was going to ruffle his hair like he was only a child. But her attitude changed from the gentle peace and serenity to a look of shock, and of obvious confusion. The boy had knelt down and kissed Aurora's hand, and then her own. But she couldn't help but smile. The child was foreign and did not know the customs. Lady Maybelline turned back to Lord Taite. "I think it is best we find his translator before he does something that would displease Lady Florizel," she suggested.

Aurora couldn't help but smile at Lady Maybelline's answer. Yes, he wasn't going to get caged! Aurora gave a slight curtsy to the Lady with a brighten look upon her face. "Thank you Lady Maybelline," she said as she looked down at Webster. Then suddenly when the prince in front of her had knelt down and kissed her hand, Aurora eyes widen. "Eh?" she said in a surprised tone as she then watched the prince went over to Lady Maybelline and kissed her hand. She couldn't help but giggle at the prince's actions and watched him stalk off after Lord Lawley. 'What a weird boy...' she thought to herself before turning her attention back to Lady Maybelline. "Well, should I put Webster in your room right now? Or later on?" she asked. She had hope she could spend a little more time with Webster, but whatever decision it was, she was fine with it.

At the moment, Webster watched both Aurora and Lady Maybelline, seeming to understand what was going on.

"Yes, that's for the best," Lord Lawley agreed, watching Machi and his strange exit. The boy was too eager for his own good. "Good day, Lady Maybelline," he said, deciding not to comment on Lord Taite's departure. He swung the door gently closed, the three males now out of the room. Lawley supposed he should attempt to get his translator to make it clear that the princes weren't allowed in the princess's rooms. With a sigh, the lord turned his head as more nonsense flitted out of the foreign prince's mouth. He caught the name, or what seemed like a name, Fuego. "I'm assuming that's his translator. Probably in his room," Lord Lawley said to Lord Taite, turning slightly away from the boy, still watching him suspiciously.

"Ugh," Amira moaned. "Hopefully not. I don't think I could make myself do that..." She shook her head nervously. "Do you want to go and see if she's there?" she asked Grace, looking up the stairway they had just exited. "I don't really feel up to food at the moment, either." The conversation had taken a strange turn. Amira had assumed that the class would be about identification, but the thought of kissing the frogs was rather probable, now that she thought about it. This was a bad thing, of course. They were just so... slimy. Amira shivered.

"I don't care," Aaric said, looking around at the room some more. "I could drop off my bags, then we could see if Coralie's room is empty of teachers yet." Aaric wanted to see his room, and he was sure that Coralie wanted to see hers, too. Rylan seemed happy with his, and now he at least had the weight off of his shoulders as well. But personally, Aaric didn't really mind what they did.

It wasn't that Machi was all that enthusiastic about this new place or what his objectives as the prince of his people were. But even Machi was aware how curious he could be. These people, their customs, they were all strange to him. Funny in some senses. It would probably be fun to try and see how things were done here and why people did things the way they did. Just to see how different it was from his own culture...

"Machi!!"

At his name the boy's head snapped to the side where he found the a slightly distraught Fuego running up almost out of breath. Poor fellow. He looked like he'd been through hell and back. An old man shouldn't be stressed like that. Machi thought with an inward smile. Once Fuego reached the three men, he looked ready to have a heart attack and hit the floor with his labored breathing, but he only took a minute or two to gather himself before placing two firm hands upon Machi's shoulder and spoke with Machi in their native tongue. Machi gave a nonchalant shrug and answered coolly. It was apparent that no matter where children came from, they all just about carried the same attitude with them. After another moment or two, Fuego looked to both Lord Lawley and Lord Taite a most apologetic expression upon those old bearded features.

"My Lords, I thank you deeply for finding my young master. I've been searching everywhere for him. I do hope he's not caused anyone trouble? My young master does not mean any harm, but being in a new place is a complete culture shock to the poor boy." He bowed curtly, Machi stood beside watching, not understanding what Fuego was saying but feeling that perhaps he'd done something wrong....Which was hard to imagine since all he did was as these people did! Fuego straightened up and looked to both. "Allow me to introduce myself as we've not properly met. I am Prince Machi's aid and mentor Fuego. I have served Machi's family for years...Even now it is still hard to keep track of the lad. I will be with the young prince for awhile till he can grasp your language and learn for himself. He may seem a bit...wild, but he has an incredibly bright mind...Which often gets him into trouble..." The last part was muttered reluctantly, but Fuego moved on quickly looking to Machi and speaking to him briskly. Machi's attention had wandered but came right back as soon as Fuego spoke. He nodded and then stepped up to both Lord Taite and Lord Lawley. And then he reached out grasping Lord Taite by the hand and raising it so that the back of the man's hand touched Machi's forehead gently, he then released that hand and did the same to Lord Lawley. "MACHI!" Fuego said sharply then spoke again as though to reprimand the boy. Machi's shoulders shirked at the harsh rebuke and then seemed to realize what his mistake was. The boy stepped back and recomposed himself before bowing.

"Happy for...yooo.." Fuego cleared his throat and corrected Machi who spoke again a little exasperated. "Happy to meet you." He repeated clearly. The boy stood straight and turned around leaving quickly. Obviously Fuego had told the child where his room already was leaving Fuego with the other two.

He also bowed. "Forgive him, he is not used to your customs. I try to teach him as best as I can. Just so you both aren't confused, what Machi didi, that was the traditional way for children to bid good bye to their elders and respected tutors." Fuego explained. "It simply means that the child is thankful for your knowledge and wishes you to go with the spirits' blessing." He paused glancing after the boy's retreating back. "Rest assured, I'll tell him to mind his manners...And I'll have him utilize your language when around you as much as he can. I hope he hasn't done anything inappropriate in my absence?" Just by his tone alone, it suggested that Machi was just a grab bag of surprises.

"It does not matter to me." Lady Maybelline regained herself and smiled at Aurora. Arabella chirped, ruffling her wings. Deciding that she must go prepare for tomorrow, the Lady looked at Aurora. "When you are ready to part from him, I will be in the Magical Creatures room," she stated before walking off, hair swinging behind him.

Coralie nodded. "Okay. That sounds good."

She picked her bag up again and waited for the twins. "So, which one is yours, Aaric?" she asked once they were out. "Lake, right?" She headed toward the room and was surprised to see that the door was already open a crack. She pushed it more and peered into the room.

Two bags were stuffed hastily in the open trunk at the right. The curtains had been drawn shut around the bed. Clearly, somebody had claimed it before leaving.

"Hey, it looks like your roommate has already been here," she said to Aaric as she glanced back over her shoulder. "But he's not in here anymore."

"I guess not," Aaric said, entering the room. It was rather spacious. Like Rylan's room, it was based on the name of his room. The walls were painted a light blue, and the fabrics on the bed, curtains and elsewhere were a mixture of deep blues. Just like in his brother's room, there was an enormous painting. But this one was of a serene lake, surrounded by trees. Birds flew overhead, and it gave you the sense the wildlife was all around. "It looks nice, though. Lots of blue. I hear it's supposed to be a calming color," he said, opening the window some more and feeling the light breeze against his face. Aaric plopped his bags down onto his own bed, and eyed the suitcases on the other expectantly. "I wonder who my roommate is. Cori was lucky enough to get the princess with the spider," he teased. "What do you two think?" he asked, still looking around himself.

"Well, you should refresh him on the rules," Lord Lawley told Fuego. The man seemed solid enough, although he was rather out of sorts. He had already lost the young prince once, and he wasn't sure that he could completely rely on him. And yet, Lawley had faith in the man. At least for now. Machi, on the other hand. He was a strange boy, even if he couldn't help it. He did seem like a troublemaker though. Hopefully that habit would be quickly broken. "He did go into a princesses room, which is against the Academy's policy. However, we'll let it go for now, in light of everything." Lawley looked lost for a moment. He wasn't sure what else to do, and he had already gotten tired after his first day back at the academy. He looked to Lord Taite to finish for him, sure that the charmer would have something clever to say, or at least more to add on to the man.

Fuego placed a hand to his chest as he bowed slightly. "With out fail M'lord. I can assure you Machi did not mean any harm in what he's done. I'll go over the rules with him till he has them committed to memory!" The old aid wasn't the least bit worried about Machi's behavior, but trying to keep tabs on the boy would prove problematic. Trying to keep that child in his sight was just like that coined phrase: 'Herding cats'. But it was true enough, he was going to have to work with Machi as much as he could to teach the boy the ways of this academy, and so he made no excuses for the prince. "I thank you again for finding him for me gentleman."

In the mean time, Machi had gone and done a bit more poking about on the boy's floor. He'd been instructed by Fuego to inspect his new room and see if it was to his liking. Machi was on his way to do just that when he heard more voices, this time it belonged to students. Once again he followed the sounds of their voices till he found it's source. It seemed that the others were still moving into their rooms as well. Curiosity satisfied, Machi doubled back to find his room....

Grace laughed rather than giggled as was customary for a princess of her age. It wasn't like anyone adult was around to hear her. "Well, who knows. It might not be so bad - if you get the prince." She gave Amira a mischeivous grin. "But yeah, let's go find her," she said, pulling Amira along toward the nearest stair. "What floor is that classroom again?" She had left her schedule in her bedroom, and was now beginning to regret the lack of the provided map.

Rylan stepped into the lake room and examined it with interest, especially when it came to the messily packed trunk. "It doesn't appear he's very neat," he noted. "With the two of you in here, this room will be a mess by tomorrow morning." Not a very good insult, but he could exact his revenge on Aaric later. It was commonly known that Rylan was better in combat when he was angry. Normally he would concentrate too much on what he was doing and miss something. When he was angry, the techniques just came to him. Occasionally, he might tie with or even beat his brother. Occasionally.

Lord Taite was quite pleased with Lady Maybelline's reaction to his flirtacious behavior. Surprised her bird hadn't attacked him either. Today was actually going rather well, despite how bizarre it was. He wasn't really paying attention to what was going on until Machi performed some apparent island tradition. He listened to Fuego's explanation. "A pleasure. It was nice to meet you, tutor. Would you like a copy of Machi's schedule? I'm sure I can have that arranged," he offered.
PostPosted: Sat May 03, 2008 5:38 pm

As the Lady walked to her classroom, she couldn't help but wonder if Taite had been merely flirting with her or if the gesture had actually meant something. Lady Maybelline had remained calm and collected when the Lord had kissed her hand, but now she truly wondered. She stepped into her classroom, and immediatly went to the large window at the very back of the classroom. Of course it was open, seeing as Arabella needed to come and go. She gazed out at the beautiful land, her hair fluttering in the breeze.

Lady Josephine sat before the piano again, her dress flowing over her legs as she sat tall. Her hands flew over the keys, her black eyes never leaving the music as she played effortlessly. It was another complicated peice, but not impossible for a skilled student to learn.

Maxwell looked around his room. And he couldn't help but wonder who his roommate would be. The thought made him a bit nervous. Sharing a room with another prince was not necessarily all that nice sounding. But he decided he would have to get over it, and soon.

Fuego nodded curtly. "That would be most appreciated." He replied when asked for another schedule. He had already received one from the servant down in the dining hall, but having another one would be just as well. One for himself and one for Machi. "I have already started the prince in reading and writing, his translations are still not up to this school's expectations and neither is his speech." He admitted. "But with an eager mind like his, I have no doubt he'll be up to speed with the rest of his class. But before I leave you gentleman I would request one thing. Please do not judge him harshly, because Machi cannot clearly understand the language, he has resorted to learning by trial through error. What I mean is that he emulates what he sees people doing. A sort of...monkey see, monkey do. If you will." He smiled kindly thinking of the term. "By which, he never means any harm." Fuego kept stressing the phrase which only served as an indicator of what may come. It was only a fair warning. By now, Fuego was certain they'd had a small taste of what having someone as foreign as Machi around was like.

Machi had finally found his room, or as Fuego had called it 'Room of Mountain'. It struck Machi as odd because there was no mountain around his room. And here he'd been quite interested in how these people could magically fit a mountain into a room. He entered the room, and didn't find a mountain, instead he found a person. This was the one Machi could only guess that was called 'Room's Mate' . 'Room's Mate' had his back to the door and to Machi and so Machi felt it was best to let his presence be known. What was that greeting again? Oh! "Halloo!" He said raising his hand. And then promptly he followed with the usual "Jfihikj Rcqqadw Ro Ifed oei Room's Mate!" Fuego had told him to speak more in their language but Machi did not know how to translate: 'Spirits Blessing be upon you' in their language. He'd have to study more...And the thought made him cringe. At least he could say names clearly enough...

Aurora smiled at the thought of keeping Webster for the time being and thanked the Lady Maybelline again as the Lady left her room. "Whoo..." she gave a huge sigh and picked up Webster, "That went pretty well. At least they won't have you kicked out. Plus Lady Maybelline was nice enough to let you stay in her room without a cage, you should be thankful..." She spoke to Webster as walked towards the window and took a peek out of it. "Nice weather outside, shall we take a stroll before dinner comes?" Aurora asked as she glanced at Webster and gave him a smile. She placed Webster on top of her head as if she had done this many times before when she didn't felt like carrying him around. She closed her door room, as she realized that her roommate hasn't stopped by yet. "I wonder who she is," Aurora said to Webster as she then headed down the stairs and out the academy building. She felt a slight breeze blowing against her face once she stepped out of the place. "Ah fresh air," she smiled as she took Webster down from her head and onto the ground. "Walk you lazy eight-legged," she said in a teasing manner then began walking ahead of the arachnid, twirling around as she headed for the gazebo. Webster followed her and seemed to enjoy the feeling the fresh soil under his eight legs. They reached at the gazebo where Aurora gazed upon on some flowers and smelled them. She loved nature. Webster simply went over to a tree and sat under it for shade, watching Aurora gazing upon the blooming flowers.

'Ack! I forgot to do something!' She thought for a second. "Um...I am sorry for this...um...interruption...but I have to go now" Bella said quickly as she stood up. She took the flower crown off her head that was covering her real crown, throwing the flowers up on one of the branches for later. "I'll just leave that there...and sorry for falling" She said to the violet haired guy as she hurried her way around the school and going to the entrance. Once she entered it, she found her way up the stairs, long cases of stairs. It took some time, but she finally made it to the floor she was suppose to be on. She remembered that she was in the Tulip section of the dorm, so there she went. Her luggage should be there already as when she walked into her dorm room, her luggage was at a foot of her bed. She knew she had another room mate, so sharing it is.

Bella began to move her things to the right places, putting clothes in the closet and drawers, putting some accessories on the desk, and putting her things where ever they should be. 'Whew...finally' She thought as she was a bit tired from all that unpacking. She usually did stuff her own way...that was what it was like when she was at home. She would have to do things by herself as so called training by her step mother, but she find it also of a habit too. Bella decided to take just a quick nap on her bed, climbing on there, she just fell on the softness of the mattress and fell into a light slumber.
