Udo chuckled and nodded. "Well done, Tetsu. Now eat, before it gets cold." Udo turned and kept on cooking, wondering if he would have time later that night to hit the bar and have a drink with Prodo...though the drink he was considering was made of chocolate and often had marshmallows in it... he chuckled to himself and turned his attention to his job, for the boy would soon be going to academy like all good shinobi-in-training.

Tetsu smiled and sat back down. "Finally!" He said with glee in his voice. He smelt the noodles and grabbed another pair of chop sticks. He looked at it smiling knowing he actually earned this one. Took him some time but he got it. He began to eat it quickly just as he did the first bowl. He slurped the noodles up quickly and hastily, like he had never eaten before in his life. He choked once more, coughing it up. He took in a breath and swallowed the noodles and continued eating till, once more it was empty. He smiled at him and stood up. "I'll probably come back another day Udo. For now I'll make my way toward the academy. See you around Udo-sama!" He said as he waved to him and walked out of the shop. ((Exit to the shinobi academy))

Natamo turned her gaze on Sorri, and frowned at him. "Ibazi, you're a horrid shinobi to be stealing from Udo, when you know he would let you have breakfast if you only had the courage to ask," she growled at him, shaking her head. She would have to pay for the bowl later, even though Udo had probably not even noticed...at least, the Ibazi would have to return the bowl. Natamo held tight to the pup in her arms, debating unleashing the tiny demon on the boy. It would serve for an amusing bit of entertainment...Natamo sighed, wondering what Shinichi would want to do about the small pup-demon.

Tetsu smiled some. "No it isn’t far Zasadel." He felt colder than usual. He hit himself on the forehead. "I forgot my coat!" He said laughing. He shivered some. "I'll be fine it wont take long." He said to him. "My house isn’t that far." He said laughing some. He began walking toward the housing district making sure that Zasadel wasn’t far behind. "I only need to grab a couple things really. Just my gloves some more cloths and maybe my mom will have something for us to take to warm us up on the way back." He said with a smile as they walked through town.

"I-If you say so Tetsu-san." he said rubbing his arms. He didn't have any other clothing, so he just hurried along side Tetsu. They walked for a good 10 minutes before arriving at the heart of the village, both of them still freezing from the cold. "W-where to now?" he said looking around, already lost as to were they had walked to. It was no help that everything was blanketed with white fresh snow, and that all the buildings had mainly the same architecture.

Tetsu shivering some. "U-umm this way." He said as he began to run toward the housing district. Zasadel rushing behind him as they dashed toward where it was. Making foot prints in the snow behind them, they ran as fast as they could. Zasadel kept a little behind him so he could still follow. "See its over there." Tetsu said as he pointed where all the houses were.

So she wanted to help people... but in what sense? "It's not that simple," Shinichi growled, frustrated by what she said and by Izumi's lack of ability to learn even a simple jutsu. "If I hadn't seen you transform into someone else myself, I would think you cheated. Keep at it, kid!" he barked, while thinking of a way to explain the shinobi way to the Meho. It occurred to him that he didn't have the faintest clue of what Izumi was talking about. What did she want to help people with? He wouldn't want to yell at her for something he misinterpreted. "What do you want to help people with and what consequences could there possibly be?" he asked, deciding to test the tanned girl's mind. "Oh, and I know you Meho types are tough, but you'll freeze to death in that indecent outfit. Get to Mai to the east as soon as you learn this jutsu," Shinichi ordered,. He wondered if Mai had any clothes left from all the people he sent there today. If any male or possibly female on the island heard him say that, they'd probably jump him for taking away their eye candy. What a bunch of indulgent idiots.
During his talk with Izumi, Natamo had come in carrying a tiny coal-black dog. Or was it a wolf... or a warthog? Like he could tell the difference between every dirty animal! After she had spoken, Shinichi stared at the woman with dead eyes, wondering if he heard right. She wanted him to decide the fate of a stupid little mutt? He rolled his eyes and sighed, wishing Noburo was here to decide for him. "Too bad Hayano's off on a mission right now. It would have made a fine snack for her," the ANBU sneered at the cub and reached out to flick its ear cruelly. "You know what?" Shinichi said slowly, a small grin carving up his face, "I'll take the-" he checked underneath the dog to make sure, "I'll take the b***h to Prodo. Heard his dog and carrot stew is one of the best. I'll get you some too, Natamo-san." Shinichi licked his lips in anticipation of the strong-flavored meal. It would be a while before they would get a significant supply of fresh meat. Maybe he'd send the students hunting for more dog.

Izumi nodded to the man as he told her to keep going on what it was she was doing. She wasn't able to really get started on it again before hearing his voice ask about what it was he wanted to help people with. In truth, she didn't know either, but...more or less, everything. "Well...a lot of people need help...whether it be a relationship problem, or...perhaps they lost something, or maybe they they just want help painting a house or lifting something...Whatever it is that they need help with, I want to assist. I know it sounds stupid...but...it's not to me. It's very important. On Haha, it was always 'take care of yourself alone or you'll get hurt severely'...Now, I have a chance to be kind and do what I wasn't really supposed to back home." His words then changed her mind back to her clothing. "Oh..." Then, a figure appeared next to them and she kept quiet when the strange woman came holding a cute puppy. It was black and fluffy looking, it must have been warm from the cold. She then listened to the conversation between and took in a sharp breath when it seemed they were seriously thinking about all this. Instictively, her hand lifted to lightly grab hold of Shinichi's arm that he had used to flick the pup's ear. "Ah, Um, Can I have her? I promise I'll take really good care of her...but please don't hurt the poor thing...She's so cute, I'm sure we can do something with her, don't you think so, Sir?" Izumi lifted her dark skinned face to shine a smile to Shinichi. She wasn't sure what exactly she'd do with the animal, or how she'd get food for it, so far she was barely able to get anything for herself...but she'd find a way! "Just...please don't eat her..."
Ai continued to struggle around while the woman and man spoke to eachother. The man was certainly huge compared to her tiny body. She couldn't make any sound do to the string around it's mouth but she could still scratch, and she was damn sure trying her hardest now, with all the noises and people around, she was restless. Her body could barely move though, that was, until the man flicked her ear. Ai wished with all her might she could have been bigger so the woman wouldn't have been able to carry her around so easily and she could have broken the stupid thread thing on her muzzle and she could have bitten the man and ran off before any more crazy humans tried to handle and mess with her. The animal shook her head to try to rid the feeling of the flick to her ear. Her eyes blazed as they viciously took in the sight of the older male that dwarfed her tiny size.

"I can't believe I didn't eat breakfast at the dorms this morning!" The broken heater in the dorm had kept Serena from thinking about it at the time. As she arrived at the village, her stomach growled, but she smiled, knowing that it may not last long. Right in the village was the Udon shop, run by Udo. She was ready to eat something warm as an escape for the cold weather. She came to the front of the shop and sat down to rest her legs a bit. The Raiken noticed that there were more people outside now..a few others. First of all, there was Shinichi and Sorri, that new girl, and another she did not recognize. There was also a wolf or an animal of the sort being handled by them. 'Huh..I wonder what they're going to do with it..' It wasn't much of her business, though, so Serena turned her attention back towards the shop, and looked for Udo. "I'm not going to steal a bowl this time! What do I need to do for a bowl of udon?" She asked, having heard about his like of riddling others for a free bowl. Sometimes, it may be free, though..she forgot, since she last ate at the shop a while back.

"That's the meaning of being a shinobi," Shinichi explained, glad that the girl understood at least that, if not her studies, "We're servants who serve whomever pays us best, whether that be to clean their house or assassinate somebody. It's not the warrior's lifestyle like the Meho's because we do whatever is needed, even if it means making sacrifices. That's the shinobi way." Then she interrupted his thoughts of eating dog again. Shinichi frowned, his stomach growling, but consented to Izumi's request with a nod. Even he, the hater of all animals except for Natamo, would agree that pets were invaluable in a battle setting. The ANBU sighed, looking up to the overcast sky with dull green eyes, wondering if he would ever see Noburo again. For sure, it'd be nice. "I don't see why you'd want this monster, though," Shinichi said pensively, glaring at the flailing puppy with disdain, "He could have been a Meho with those eyes." As long as she kept the thing away from him, it was all good. "And don't bother to show up to class today without learning Henge!" he snapped, the quip remark serving to end their conversation. Shinichi turned to get some non-dog udon and bumped into Sorri. He'd forgotten about the boy, too caught up in his conversation with the two girls. "Hello," Shinichi said blankly, taking a long second to figure out what Sorri wanted. Who was Takumi? Oh, oh! "What took you so long?" he jested with a small grin. The boy sure was an Ibazi because no other person could learn the rope escape jutsu that quickly. The ANBU reached into his bag and fished out an infinity headband that reflected light from the bright snow, making the object look much more shinier and glorious than it really was. He held it out to Sorri and commented, "You're a shinobi now, Sorri. Serve your people well." There wasn't much else there was to say that wouldn't sound repetitive. "Serena!" Shinichi called out, "Come over here. You and Sorri have to choose a squad leader." And as far as he knew, the only two good ones were standing in the area, unless they were masochists and wanted to choose Dhan. "Douken Xyn has been home sick for the last few days, but if you see him around, I'd ask him to join your squad. Unless, you want to wait for Karite or Hanabira to graduate, but... uh... he has issues to deal with at the moment. If you see Orika, him, or Shisei around without the other two, tell me immediately so I can skin their hides, okay? They tried to kill each other and are to be considered extremely dangerous."

Natamo chuckled and pretty much heaved the pup at Izumi, shrugging. "If you can get her to shut up enough to listen without biting, I'll help you train her. But when she's big enough, you're going to owe me some leather for new gloves - she scratched mine all up and made little tears." Natamo laughed heartily, and turned to leave, looking back only when she heard Shinichi telling Sorri that he and Serena needed both a third squad member and a captain. Hmm...she hesitated, though she didn't know why, since her specialty was training animals, and not training little brats that stole udon... She stood her ground, however, unsure of whether she should leave them be or if she should offer her services. She was, after all, a jounin quite capable of leading them into battle, though none of them had partners so it seemed almost useless. However, Natamo wasn't stupid enough to go outright and say that, especially since she did like Serena, and Sorri, when he wasn't being a pain, was a pretty smart kid, and good with the ropes and strings his clan was infamous for.

Izumi's eyes shifted from the pup to Shinichi as he spoke to her about the lifestyle of a shinobi. She couldn't really say anything or comment on his words, since, by far, he knew much more than she did about the life of a shinobi. She seemed to like this 'shinobi' thing. Well, other than the assassination and chakra stuff. Her face seemed to beam up at him as he allowed her to have the pup. Izumi wasn't sure what she'd be able to do with it now, but...she should at least first get to see how the pup reacted to her. The tiny child was ripped from her feathery thoughts by Shinichi's sharp voice came to her. "Y-Yes, Sir..." she said nervously. At the rate she was going, she'd either pass out from exhaustion or end up never getting it. She watched as the man walked away, still having not gotten his name. The girl wasn't allowed to watch for too long as the pup was thrown into her arms by the woman. "Y-Yes! Thank you!" Izumi said happily to the woman. "I'll be sure to take good care of her, thank you." Izumi bowed as best she could without shifting the pup too much in her arms. She had the thing held to her chest gently, but firmly enough so she couldn't leap from her arms or struggle too much. She seemed to be a lively thing, that was for sure. But Izumi was sure she'd find a way to be friends with the creature soon enough. Then maybe the flame haired man wouldn't see the young animal as a 'monster' any longer. "So little girl...you are quite pretty aren't you?" Izumi smiled to the young animal in her arms and scratched behind its ear. "Hm...well, a pretty thing should have a pretty name. You are so lovely, how about...Ai?"
Ai was completely sick of people by this time and defintely didn't want to see this man's face again. His scent smelled bad to her for some reason, and the woman holding her seemed to have all sorts of a mixture of scents to it. A multitude of animals must have come by her. The darn woman should have let her go by now, she was no use to these people. She defintely didn't like the talk about eating her though... A whine came from the black fluff ball's throat as she looked around to the people surrounding her. There was a girl who had a horribly curious stench to her, like fish and sea salt. She had hair like Ai's and she seemed shorter to the ground than the others surrounding her. The tiny wolf was happy to see the older man leave, but she was a bit surprised when she was practically thrown into the arms of the girl with the weird smell. She growled as best she could with the leather string around her muzzle and scratched at the girl's arms. As the woman who'd caught Ai turned away, Ai looked up and glared angrily at the child who now held her in custody. What on earth was going on around here?! Ai was not some piece of candy to be shared between children and then thrown over to whomever wanted her!

Sorri only smiled at the joking comment about the jutsu, only taking it as credit he deserved, with his slight sized big head. The moment Shinichi went into his bag and pulled out the head band Sorri's leg began to shake, but in his baggy pants it didn't show. He lightly took hold of it and gripped the head band close to his chest and turned around. Averting the higher ranked ninja's eyes. He sniffled and slowly wiped his eyes. He had been waiting and wanting to long for this piece of metal and cloth for it to mean little to him. Sorri would care for his head band and protect it just as much he did himself. and took a few breaths to calm himself before turning back around with his head down. He thought for a moment, Natamo-sensei, as much as he was sure she could watch out for him as a teacher, she wasn't for Sorri to learn from. That even show when he was an academy student...he wasn't a pet person. Then there was Shinichi...he had become kage right? wouldn't running a little team just add on the stress. It wasn't about what they were dealing with though right? And when Ero became a genin the crazy ANBU were her squad leader.
"Natamo-sensei...the day I fought wih the Kun' Kumo..you told me I may just make out to be the greatest genin ever" Sorri said before a little chuckle. "Thanks for that yea?...Gonna prove you right about that. And Shinichi-sensei as much as you yell, scream, and terrify the heck out of me sometimes...you think I can be a good ninja...I can see it juust a little.Shinichi-sensei, would you be my squad leader, its would my cousin would want..at least I thank so." Sorri looked up in Shinichi's eyes and tied his headband around his neck.

Someone was calling Serena. It was a familiar voice, but she thought that it might be able to wait just a few minutes. She had already called out to Udo for a bowl of udon. It wasn't until the girl realized that the voice was Shinichi-sensei's did she decide that eating could wait. Immediately, she jumped out her seat and made her way to the group of people nearby. She saw that Shinichi was holding something shiny again. As she got closer, she realized it was another headband! Who was it for? Obviously, it was for Sorri, as he took it so delicately and hugged it. She was so happy for him! The Raiken clasped her hands together and smiled as a congrats to him. She would have given him a big hug, but she wanted to give him some time, too. "So who is there to-.." Before she could finish what she was saying, Sorri began giving some sort of speech. She listened until the last part, when she tilted her head slightly to the side. Had she had any say in this? Apparently not..who was there even to chose from? She nodded her head with a smile though, finding Sorri's choice to still be a good one, even though she had no clue whether or not Shinichi was even going to be able to be their leader. It all just depended on what he said. And then.."Wait..they tried to kill each other?!" Her voice squeaked a bit on the word 'kill' and her face obviously showed some shock. After composing herself, Serena still couldn't believe it. And if they tried to kill each other, then why was Shinichi making them stay together?..

Shinichi shifted uncomfortably with Izumi's new name for her monster. "Aye, that Ai would love to eat you," he muttered, turning to bare his teeth at the tiny meat sack. He wouldn't have made for a good meal, anyway. The ANBU yelled out an order of udon with whatever meat Udo had to quell his body's needs. He couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten anything, but he had to keep up his health or risk collapsing when his duties demanded full strength. Shinichi was prepared to go sink his teeth into some dead possum or other really cheap meat and leave Natamo alone with her new genin when Sorri's question caused him to flinch visibly. He did an about face and growled at the two brain dead students who didn't have the wits to choose someone who wouldn't murder them without notice. "Baka, Ero is in her condition because of me! We did training that weakened her body and left the poison gas an easy job. Don't let yourself be fooled by my title. Use your head. And you, Serena, should be more courageous. Speak up for yourself instead of just agreeing with everything your teammate says because its easier!" Shinichi made an expression of disgust at their newest genin, then glanced at Natamo. Why couldn't she be more perfect so these kids wouldn't think twice before choosing the correct and capable leader? Nevertheless, Sorri sounded so sure.
Before he could continue, Serena popped up and asked about the three troublemakers. "Yes. They caused three stab wounds, a broken leg, broken ribs, many slice wounds, multiple cuts and scrapes," he listed, "Those three were children playing with shinobi weapons for entertainment. I put them with Maya so she can help them resolve their differences." He trusted her to keep them from doing anymore damage and hoped the time together would bring them closer. "Anyway, how about we do this?" Shinichi began, taking out a hastily written piece of paper and shoving it into Serena's hands. He read off what was scrawled for Sorri, "I was going to go take care of this, but I guess you guys are capable. Reports have come in of a Yeti-like monster attacking the Rice Farm's fresh water supply. I will take you guys on this mission and afterwards, you can make the decision of whether to take me as your squad leader. For now, you need to go to the weapon's shop and pick out one weapon or five small throwing ones. Then, meet me at the Academy."
