{I'm kinda setting it up so that the different element users are friends with their own kind of users, like fire users like being with other fire users, and setting up small groups of clashing ones, like fire and ice users not liking each other much... That's one reason why Frost and Blaze don't get along...} Kaen smiled at Jasna. "Sorry, I got a different class. I'm not good with water, but I'm getting the basics. Have fun." She turned and nearly crashed into Blaze, who'd walked over in the confusion. "Oh, god. Not you again." Blaze had been watching Jasna until Kaen walked into the hall. He decided to try Burner's approach and walked up to her, but not right behind her. Blaze smiled kindly. "I actually want to apoligize for acting rude during our first class." Kaen scowled at Blaze. "You know what? You can take your apology and shove it up your a**. I don't like idiots." She walked around him toward basic water. "If you know what's good for you, you'll turn around and not look back." Blaze frowned. So much for Burner's advice. He walked next to Kaen and smiled kindly again. "I'm sorry. Do you have water next?" Kaen sighed in exhasperation. "Yes, now go away." Blaze's smile widened. "I have it next too." Kaen waved her finger. "Just lovely. If you sit next to me, I swear to burn your face off this time." Kaen walked to the back and sat in the farthest corner. She was hoping to talk to that idiot who kept trying to get under Jasna's skin. Now that Blaze was here, she felt her anger grow. "If I'm lucky, he'll listen and leave me alone. Wonder if that Burner-guy would sit next to me? Probably being stupid or really ballsy..." Blaze sighed sadly. Burner's advice wasn't working too well. "But I won't let him win this one, I'm going to keep trying. Whether it kills me or not." he muttered under his breath. Blaze sat next to a girl who'd dyed the ends of her hair blue. She smiled shyly at a guy across the room, who smiled back making the girl blush. Blaze put his head on the table. Is it love season already? Or is cupid taunting my stupid a**? Another girl sat next to him but looked only at the teacher. She was the water teacher's pet, who had put a strand of blue beads in her hair. Blaze's table was full and he felt better knowing that no one who knew him personally was sitting near him. ~ Frost followed Jasna and Rikka. He smiled sadly but tried not to talk in case he scared Rikka again. She probably wants to avoid me right now anyways... ~ Rikka just followed Jasna, feeling hyperaware that Frost was less than two feet away from her. She blushed slightly as she walked, and tried to control her breathing.

((Cool. I'll try to add to that theme.)) Litha smiled nervously at Rikka. "I'm Litha. Nice to meet you." She extended her hand for Rikka to shake. Jasna laughed and said, "Right! I totally forgot to introduce you guys! Rikka, Litha. Litha, Rikka!" Litha fake-smiled and walked into the classroom. She grabbed Jasna and said, "Come on! Let's sit in the back!" Jasna laughed and followed Litha to the back. "Rikka, you coming? There's not enough space for 4 people so Frost can't follow you..." Jasna teased, completely aware that Frost was right there. ~ Burner sat down on Blaze's other side. "So, how're things going with your 'muse', the fire chick? She still being a b***h to you? Have you tried to be, I don't know, nice, yet?"
((My personality is kind of like Litha rather than Jasna. I've modeled Burner after a few of my friends.))

{Hehehe... It'll be a water vs fire theme, at least not majorly.} Blaze frowned at Burner. "Yeah, she's still giving me the cold shoulder. And you don't have to rub it in, Mr. Fireflirt." Kaen saw Burner sit next to Blaze. "Well, there goes plan A. Plan B, then." She summoned her small blue flame and shaped it like a tiny blue flaming hummingbrd. It beat it's wings quickly, which made it look like it was hovering. She sent it over to Burner, letting it circle his head until he noticed it. The fire-bird hummed softly. "Come here for a minute, if you please?" Kaen smirked as her creation melted back into a small flame and returned. Blaze watched the fire-bird fly around Burner, deliver it's message and return to Kaen who smirked at Burner. "You a**! How many girls do you plan to flirt with this year?!" ~ Rikka smiled at Litha and followed her to the back. She felt both relieved and sad that Frost couldn't join them. "Its nice to meet you, Litha." Frost's face fell for a second but he smiled and walked down to the front and sat close to the door. When he was sure no one was watching him, he sighed sadly. "Great... There goes that chance..."

((I'll help. Kind of. Burner heart Jasna, Jasna's independent blaugh , and Litha heart Burner currently but ends up hating him.)) Burner shrugged to Blaze. "I don't know..." What does she want? What could she possibly want? He walked over to Kaen. "Hey. What's up? You want to talk to me?" ~ Litha smiled. "So who's this Frost dude?" Jasna laughed and said, "See that guy? He's Frost. Rikka likes him and he likes Rikka. Except they're both too shy to say anything." Litha laughed. "Okay." Sounds like how I was with Burner all those months ago... Damn it! Why can't I stop liking the a*****e?! Jasna looked at Rikka. "Seriously, come on! What's with you and Frost? If you like him, talk to him rather than run away!"

Rikka blushed again. "I-I... I want to talk to him... I do... B-but... L-last time he...." She didn't go on, she didn't want to relay the whole story in front of Litha. ~ Blaze felt both rage and envy. Why the hell would she want to talk to him for?! Kaen smiled and patted the seat next to her. "Sit, I need to talk to you. It's about this crappy lovefest everyone's in." She smirked and flicked her fingers, bringing her flame back. "You see, I've connected a few facts. Like my friends Rikka and Frost liking each other. Those two, I'm not worried about. But my friend, Jasna... Well, she doesn't like you very much... I want to help, but, I have my own problems... Brian, for example, pisses me off. I'm willing to make a deal, however." Her smirk widened. "I'll help you with Jasna, if you keep Brian away from me. I've noticed how your face looked when Litha came around, she got you bad. I could also help with that." She flicked out the blue flame, as if signalling how she'd handle a thorn in her side. "So, how 'bout it? Keep Brian away from me and end his senseless romance attempts, and I'll keep Litha from ruining you while helping Jasna see the light. A fair trade, correct?" She leaned back slightly. "I mean, Jasna seems to be avoiding you, so you can't talk to her directly, and Litha seems to be the sort who likes getting in the way. I'm usually pretty good with setting up the right people, I just lose my touch when I'm bothered." Her tone was both persuasive and seductive, like a snake charmer or a very good salesperson. "How about it? Is it a deal?" Kaen held her hand out. Her eyes were sincere and determined.

Burner twisted uncomfortable. "Okay... I'll do what I can to keep Blaze away. He really can be a dumbass." Damn. There goes my twenty bucks. "I'll help you. You don't worry about Litha because she's really just jealous. She's a pushover. You'll see. But Jasna... You'll really help me?" ~ Jasna nodded. Litha looked at Rikka then at Jasna. "What?" Jasnas shook her head and said, "It's nothing." Litha rolled her eyes and decided to listen to the teacher instead. Jasna whispered to Rikka, "It'll be okay. He's better than Brian, that a*****e brother of his. He really knows how to be nice. If you really like him then you'll make him like you. You're just that nice. Come on. After class okay?"

Rikka blushed a little brighter. "O-ok...." Frost was bored, listening to the teacher. He began to zone out a bit. The teacher walked over and put a glass of water in front of him. "Frost. Please show them how to make the advanced spirals." Frost nodded and created a bubble of water which had three syclones spinning inside. "The bubble wasn't entirely neccessary, but you have the point atleast." Frost sighed as the teacher went on with his lecture. ~ Kaen smirked. "Please. Jasna won't be a problem. Just make Brian quit while he's ahead. I'd hate to find Jasna with another guy while the faculty finds a charred skeleton outside the library." The teacher began to draw a simple water diagram on the board. Kaen picked up the text book and brought the flame back. She tore a spare page from a notebook and began to stain the page with the flame. She held up her little fire-drawing for Burner to see. It was a tiny arrow through a heart. "I was known as a fiery cupid. Quite literally. But just as easily as I can make this happen-" She set fire to the page and let it burn. "I can make that happen. I just want Brian's interuption to stop, and then I can focus on being cupid again." Kaen swept the ashes into her textbook as the teacher turned toward the class. "Does anyone smell smoke?" Kaen smiled at Burner. "Glad we had this chat. Have a nice day." Her eyes sparkled darkly. "I'll be sure to talk to Jasna about you." Blaze set fire to his textbook, he had been watching Kaen talk to Burner. He saw the drawing and thought Burner was flirting with Kaen. "You b*****d...." He didn't realize he'd set fire to the textbook, until the girl next to him screamed. "FIRE!!!" The teacher marched over and summoned water from the air, pouring it on both the fire and Blaze. "Fire is not to be played with in my class, Brian." Most of the class started laughing. Blaze stood up and flicked his fingers, summoning his small red flame. "Right." He blew on the flame, sending a stream of fire at the teacher, who jumped backwards and fell over a desk. "BRIAN!! PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE, NOW!!!"

Jasna saw Frost be forced to demonstrate for the teacher and called, "May I?" The teacher walked over, amused, and set the glass on Jasna's table. "Be my guest." He didn't think that this new girl was good enough to do anything. Jasna rolled her eyes and made the water spin into a cyclone so that it danced around the glass, with the top above the glass top. Then it split into three parts, one in the glass and two on the table and continued spinning in place. After a minute of showing off, Jasna put the water back in the glass, satisfied that she had stumped the teacher. He gaped then caught himself and said, "Nicely done." And walked back to his desk. Litha rolled her eyes at Jasna. "I could have done it neater." Jasna laughed quietly. "So could I. I was just using enough of my power to scare that idiot. I can do so much better than that. Trust me." ~ Burner laughed at Blaze under his breath. "Come on, Blaze. Up." He grabbed Blaze's arm and jerked. "Man, you're heavy." Then he whispered into Blaze's ear, "Be careful. That girl, your muse, is out to get you. However, she said that she'll help me if I can get you to stop being the whiny dumbass you are. Just... watch your back, okay? You never know when that b***h will attack you. And you might want to let her cool off and avoid you for a week or so. It's only a week, alright dumbass?"

Rikka giggled as Jasna scared the teacher. "That was cool, Jasna. I'm better with ice than pure water though..." She smiled sadly. "If I get a chance I'll show you what the snowflake looked like when I met Frost." ~ Blaze shoved Burner away. "Right. I'm supposed to sit on the side and let you roam around taking every girl's attention? If you want to be an a**, do it with your own girl." Blaze walked out of the room and set fire to a set of lockers. "I'll burn you if you try to take her from me, Burner." Kaen smirked as she watched Blaze leave in a foul mood. "This just got interesting." She smiled and tried not to laugh as the teacher brushed himself off and tried to act like nothing happened. "What a wimp. Can't handle an amatuer fire-summoner. A real water alchemist could have easily dispatched that fire-stream. Any real alchemist would have seen it coming too." She looked at the clock and smiled as she put her textbook in her bag. "And just in time for lunch."

The teacher sat down, red and embarassed. "Well. That was a good demonstration. Practice that for tomorrow, class! You may go to lunch now." Jasna pulled Litha and Rikka after her. "Let's go to the cafeteria and meet Kaen!" Litha grumbled something about not really being hungry but Jasna ignored her. ~ Burner rolled his eyes behind Blaze's back. That dumbass may think he's great at fire alchemy, but he's really bad... Really, if he tried to burn me I can cause his fire to become a lasso and noose him. Burner saw Kaen leave and caught up with her. "Sooo... You'll really help me with Litha and Jasna. Not that I really need the help, though..."

Rikka smiled and followed Jasna. Frost looked up and met Rikka's eyes. They both looked away, embarrassed. Rikka blushed a bit. "Um... I'll meet you guys there... I think I left my bag in my other class..." Rikka walked to her previous class and waited for Frost. Frost followed Rikka hesitantly. He stepped into the room, and waited as Rikka closed the door. She turned and blushed a light shade of red. Frost blushed a bit before clearing his throat. "I'm sorry about how I behaved in our first class. It was... rude of me to... invade your space like that..." Rikka looked at the ground. "I-I'm sorry I ran off... The teacher startled me..." Frost took a step toward her. "I still acted foolishly." He smiled kindly at Rikka. "I'm sorry I frightened you." Rikka smiled and blushed a little redder. "I wasn't frightened... Just overwhelmed..." Frost took another step forward and hugged Rikka. "I'm sorry for making you feel that way." Rikka just stood there for a moment, then lifted her arms and hugged Frost back. "You don't need to be sorry..." ~ Kaen smirked. "Trust me. You need help. Jasna's fighting with her emotions for some reason. Litha's interuptions could also pose a problem if she keeps making sure Jasna's still fighting. I can tell, Litha will try to make sure you two don't get together." Kaen's smirk widened. "She won't get very far with me playing my part though. Just sit back, keep Brian in check, and everything will go smoothly." She looked out the door and saw Jasna coming. "You just lay low and I'll push her in the right direction. Seeya." Kaen turned and walked over to Jasna, leaving Burner on his own. "Hey. What's for lunch?" ~ Blaze walked into the principal's office and sat in the chair facing the man's desk. The principal swiveled around and sighed. "Welcome back, Brian. What happened this time?" Blaze frowned. "It's Blaze. I set a book on fire and the teacher poured water on the book and unneccessarily poured water on me." The principal looked at Blaze with mild disinterest. "And?" Blaze sighed. "And I threw a fireball at him in anger." The principal nodded. "Right. Sounds more like why you'd be sent here. Detention, Brian. You'll have to say hello to the delinquents for me. You see them more than I do." Blaze took the detention slip and sighed. "Lovely. And it's Blaze." {Ew... I got grossed out by how sappy I made Rikka and Frost's little scene...}

Jasna's eyes narrowed for a moment. "Were you just talking to Burner? You know how much I hate that a*****e. I swear, if you ever talk to him again, I'll murder him because I don't want his swagger to mess with my friends. That son of a b***h..." Litha smiled inwardly. Things are going as planned. On this half at least. ~ Burner quickly walked away from Kaen, hoping that Jasna hadn't noticed him. Damn. I do need the help, but Kaen's... too volatile to trust. He walked into a classroom to look for the teacher in order to ask him for advice on ice alchemy and saw Rikka and Frost hugging. Burner backed out slowly, hoping that Rikka and Frost hadn't noticed him. Frost hates me, so I'd better really watch it... Especially since it looks like he's friends with Jasna.

Frost and Rikka both heard Burner walk in. They both jumped away from each other, blushing bright red. Frost glared at Burner as he retreated. Rikka panicked and fled from the room, heading for her dorm. Frost ran to the door. "RIKKA!!" Frost ran out and saw that she was gone. "Damn it... Damn you, Burner..." ~ Kaen smirked. "Yeah. I chewed him out about acting like an a** and vented about Blaze. He offered to help me get that pathetic little fire monkey off my back. He actually pissed Brian off enough to make him set fire to a textbook and attack the teacher! It was the highlight of my day!" Kaen's smirk grew into a fullblown smile. "He's really not that bad. I can't believe he actually wanted to help me with the whole Fire-brat problem!" Kaen diliberately editted the part about her fiery-cupid monologue. "If it weren't for him sitting next to me, Brian would have tried and gotten burned. He, Brian, had enough nerve to follow me to class, as if I'd even wanted to be within breathing space! Burner was kind enough to difuse that ticking time bomb. He could hold an intelligent conversation, unlike Brian. And, I'm actually starting to like this place!" Kaen sounded excited, even though she was lying out her a**. She was too good of a liar, no one could tell when she was lying or telling the truth. "Maybe your being kinda harsh, Jasna. He doesn't seem too bad. Maybe a little headstrong, but definently better than Brian." Kaen walked past a group of girls who were pointing and giggling at her. Kaen frowned. "The hell's wrong with them?" ~ Blaze decided, once he got out of the principal's office, to do something to show up Burner in the dating game. "Let's see how hot you are when I get finished with this." He flicked his fingers and summoned the small red flame. He burned his real name into the wall, though he nearly burned himself for it. Under it, he wrote Kaen's name. Next to the two he burned a large X and wrote Burner's real name. Under Burner's name, he wrote Jasna's name. Under the entire fire-drawing he wrote in small letters, 'The fire battle starts now, who'll win the heart of their love?' Blaze stood back and smirked. "Fire battle. A traditional event. Loser forgets he ever saw the girl he liked." ~ Kaen looked past the girls and saw a fire-drawing on the wall. She looked at it with disbelief. "Hey, Jasna... When the hell did we sign up for the dumbass olympics?" She pointed to the insanely large fire-drawing. "I don't think Burner would be stupid enough to pull a stunt like this. Brian on the other hand..."

Jasna read the wall. Damn it! Michael, you're going to be frozen in an iceblock so huge you won't see daylight ever again! Jasna turned to Kaen, "Why do dumbasses always insist on shoving their business up other people's asses? Goddammit! What is their problem?!" ~ Litha stared at the wall in disbelief. Crap! Damn you, Blaze! Everything was going like I wanted it to until you just had to write that! She gently tapped Jasna's shoulder and explained what the sign meant. "It's a 'tradition' here at the Academy. You battle it out by using your elements. It's a learning exercise, so the teachers don't give a damn. Whoever's worse gets burned, iced, blown off their feet or imprisoned by vines. That's the way it goes here." ~ Burner turned red as he heard Frost say, "Damn you, Burner..." Look, Frost, you may be good at your ice alchemy, but you sure as hell won't get the better of me in a duel. We're both having dating issues, so you're no better than me! Burner thought. He sighed and walked back to the cafeteria. He saw the challenge written on the wall and sighed. What the hell's your problem, a*****e? She doesn't like you! Deal with it. Of course, Jasna thinks I'm an SOB, so what does it really count for me to say that? Burner headed back out of the cafeteria and started to look for Blaze. He saw Blaze and called out, "Hey, a*****e! You wanted me to duel you? Let's see how you match up then, you wuss!" Burner summoned a fireball and a shield of fire that he didn't let burn the ground. "You ready to battle me? If this is what you think will win the heart of Kaen, think again. Having a burnt face won't make anyone like you. You wanted to challenge me. You'll learn from that mistake." And he shot the fireball around Blaze's head and caused it to hover above his head again. "You want to know why you'll lose? Because I can do other alchemies. Not well, but at least better than you. So... You ready?"

{WHOO!!} Kaen put her hand on Jasna's shoulder. "Calm down. I'm sure this wasn't Burner's idea. He was too nice to do something this stupid. I'm almost completely sure that dumbass Brian did this." She turned to Litha. "Does it say anywhere in the rules or in tradition if a girl can kick one of the challenger's asses?" ~ Rikka ran to her room and slammed the door shut behind her. She was blushing so red, any rose would have paled in shame. "Oh... That was a perfect moment.... Then it was ruined...." She lay on the bed on her stomach and buried her face in the pillow. "I'm such an idiot... I can't handle anything... I wish I was more like Kaen-" She stopped and sat up. "I should have thought of this before! I'll ask Kaen to teach me how to be less shy! She doesn't care to be embarrassed or if she's not liked by someone. She's more outgoing." Rikka nodded as if confirming it. "I'll go ask Kaen the next time I get a chance to talk to her alone." She smiled as her blushed faded and left the dorm, heading toward the cafeteria. ~ Frost saw Burner leave in anger. "I'm being an a**... He's having a tough time, and I'm getting along better...." He started for the cafeteria and stopped as he read the fire-challenge. He smacked his forehead and ran for the cafeteria. "Blaze! Are you out of your mind?!" He was too late, the fight had already started. ~ Blaze smirked and summoned a fireball about the same size as Burner's. "So? I wanna see how tough you really are, Burner. You act all badass and think you can't fall either, but Cron fixed that, didn't he?" Blaze threw the fireball and brought it back before it touched Burner. He held it over his hand and laughed. "I never did tell you, I don't show how hot my flames can really get. Not you, not anyone else. I'm going to show you now though, and prove it." He brought up his own shield and smirked as the red flame turned a redish orange.
