Out on a limb
Fighting out on the top of bamboo stalks should be a worthy challenge for any shinobi.

Special: if balance check fails you must make a grapple check to catch yourself

DC: 12 + grapple
If grapple check fails you lose 2hp and must have one successful climb check to reach the top and start again.

We don't have the climb skill anymore - but otherwise that looks fun. =)
Sounds like something Maya might have a challenge with, since her balance is a little low.
Maybe instead of climb, you could use the focus skill, because if you fail the grapple to grab firm hold of the bamboo, you could focus and climb it - or combine the tree-walking training and use chakra + control to reach the top.

It was removed from the game quite a while ago. The hows and whys were gone over in detail, it's probably best to just accept it and move on.
So, what'd I miss?

Karite, you might want to start your character off with a simple exercise that fits his skill level, such as somersaulting. Then, you can gradually learn more complicated flips. Katz, don't forget that your Taijutsu training would reward +2 Taijutsu.
Great job, guys! I think you two know how to make training exercises well enough that you no longer need to check in every time you train.

This one is a little far fetched so just checking it. Go into the Bamboo Forest. Blindfolded with nothing more then yourself. Stand in the middle of a circle of trees. Listen to the wind and the animals that live in them. When a rustle pours from them like music to your soul send a Shuriken into them.

I'm sure any of the crew and some of the members would be at service to help you with your clan. Just read up on the Technique and Clan approval thread to see how to go about it. Which clan do you want to create?

The Jounin, Genin, and the Kage of the village are at war with the Orochi clan on the mainland. Since you'll start an academy student, you just have to worry that the Kage isn't on the island when you arrive - or maybe by the time you start roleplaying, he will be. =)
