X____Uchïhǻ Kǻzūmeï___X I was there that night. I remember the fear. I can still see those eyes.Konohagakure no Sato/ Academy Student/ Lvl.6/ Hp: 66/ Cp: 42/ MHp: 66 Looking over the scroll it was a match Kazumei successfully copied the Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu [Grand Fireball Technique]. Tying up the scroll he picked up that original scroll and placed it back where he got it from. Walking back over to the table he grabbed his new scroll and cleaned off all the mess he made before he left. Putting his backpack on Kazumei walked out of the Konoha Library and seemed to be heading back to the Konoha Forest. [Exit to the Konoha Forest]

I seen the evil and the madness its creates. The a heavy burden in which I have to carry. This isn't a gift its a curse.

Entering the massive libraries the young boy looked down at the scrap of paper in his hand that had the directions for where he'd find the book that his sisters had wanted him to study. After having stopped a Jounin and showing her the paper he was led straight to the book, which he promptly took over to a nearby table. Opening the book up the Nara took a deep breath and cracked his neck. His squinting eyes scanned over the first pages of the this book on disabling a set of simple devices, with his mind doing its best to big out key points of interest. He did his best to focus primarily on how the devices were put together and the relationship that each piece held with the others.

Rhaim had nearly dozed off from reading, only to be awoken by the sharp sting of the book crashing against his face as it tumbled forward. Shooting back up the younng boy shook his head, stood to his feet, and slapped himself several times before resolving to get right back into reading the book. He once again spent the majority of his mental capacity focusing on just how the devices were made and how each one of the parts tied in with all of the other parts. He knew that trying to understand too much about the mechanics all at once would overwhelm him. While concentrating on the technical terms for everything would drive him into a sleep induced state that would get him no where.

Slowly but surely the boy could feel himself begin to understand just how these simple mechanical devices were put together, which was the first step to taking them apart. With one piece of the puzzle fairly well grasped the young boy turned his attention now to the actually technical terms for each and every nut, bolt, screw, spring, gear, cog, pin and wheel. This would be critical for him to be able to understand more abstract concepts of devices that were to come later in the books series. The words were all completely new to him so he knew that he'd have to pay extra close attention to exactly how they were spelled and what they meant, in the physical tangible sense. It would do him no good if he knew what everything was called but didn't know what they looked like.

15+2=17
You rolled a 14
14+2=16..fail...
So you pretty much have to roll a 15 or better to pass...]

Though all of the brand new terms were not sticking in his mind right away, the Nara could feel that he was at least making some progress if only by commiting to repetition and not giving up. The words were still seperate in his mind from the actual pictures and sketches laid out in the book before him. He needed to focus all of his brain power onto linking the two together if he wanted to get this down. Though not quite sure why his sisters so desired for him to read up on this today, he was determined to remember what the difference between a cog and a gear was. He traced his fingers from the word to the accompanying pictures to give himself a better visual before he'd fold the page over to hide the words and quiz himself on what the images were.

The boy began to feel like his studying was going in reverse, as he threw his head back and sighed at how difficult it was to grasp what should be such a simple concept. After thinking to himself for several moments he decided that perhaps his study technique wasn't the best that it could be. Thus in an effort to enhance his ability to retain the information before him, the boy wrote out flash cards with one side showing a picture of the piece and the other side with the nomenclature of that piece. He felt rather confident as he slowly flipped over each card in his hand. He then numbered the picture side of the cards and numbered a seperate piece of paper to write his answers on. With the preperations complete Rhaim began thumbing over the picture sides of the cards and writing down what they were on the seperate sheet of paper.

((Thanks Dizzy. In that case the DC should just be 15 with no mods, since that's what it would always end up being anyhow. Someone should fix that.))
The boy stood up from his seat and took a couple laps around the table as he felt everything slip from his grasp that he once thought he knew. Without even realizing his folly, the boy was back at square one trying to learn the basics of how the simple devices were constructed. At least now the Nara knew why it was that he wasn't grasping on to this next skill set he was aiming for. He hadn't secured a solid enough foundation on the basics to begin something more complicated. With somewhat renewed vigor to learn what he had thought he already knew but in fact didn't quite understand, the boy seated himself and drove his squinting eyes into the pages. He wasn't quite sure that he'd be any more successful then he'd been thus far but the boy was far from the point of giving up.

((Chill out Dizzy. I didn't see your post right away.))
None of what he was reading was making any sense what so ever, which he supposed was why his sisters would make him read up on such a topic to begin with. Having never seen these devices before, it was taking the Nara much longer than expected to fully understand what was being presented to him. He scratched his brown hair and pondered on whether or not the task would be any easier with someone to at least instruct him on how to study the material. He pushed the thoughts aside since it didn't matter, there was no teacher present and there wasn't going to be one so long as his sisters had anything to do with it. With that in mind Rhaim began thumbing through the schematics again, trying to link it all together in some organized fashion in his mind.

The boy threw his face into his hands and let out a low groan as once again he found himself at a loss for how to understand the contents of the book before him. He slowly removed his hands from his face and squinted down at the pages, growing more determined to comprehend the text and prove to at least himself that he could accomplish something completely. To try and steer himself in a new studying technique the young Nara pulled out another sheet of paper and began tracing over the sketches in the book while attempting to think ahead to what piece would be traced next and why. Rhaim knew that this method of trying to retain the material would probably not work but he had to at least give it a shot since his other bright ideas hadn't pulled through for him.

Clearly his new made up method of remembering the contents of the book was not working out near as well as he had hoped that by some miracle it would. Thus he was brought to yet another idea by which he'd simply read the book aloud to himself. Perhaps seeing, sayin, and hearing the words of the book would strike enough of his senses at once that he'd be able to grasp the knowledge with at least one of them. With one hand on the left of the book, the other hand on the right of the book, his feet firmly planted under the table, and his eyes beaming into the pages before him, the boy began his oral discourse. The sound of his own voice reading the words before him was quite odd and a tad bit awkward for him.

The boy wanted to lean back and say that he was suprised that his technique didn't work and that he was certain that he would fully grasp the information this time around. However he couldn't say such because he knew that it was a long shot for him to do such. Thus he was forced to drive on into more drastic learning measures to try and find the one that was right for him. Next on his make shift list of techniques that he sort of built as he went was to speed read the information that so far had elluded him. He'd heard of others being able to understand large amounts of information quickly by reading over it at a significantly increased speed. Simply he'd move through the words as soon as his brain recognized the characters regardless of whether or not the content seemed to be apparently sticking.
