"Sounds like trouble. Needa manual or a pilot to take over? De name's Kaith, Eta Kaith by the way."
Eta doubled his efforts to keep the XT and its current pilot alive and intact. He slid a selector over to the next notch, and when he next depressed the trigger on his Deece, it fired in semi-auto 3-bolt bursts.

"I have no idea how to work this thing? I''m trying to get to the other side, where all those droids are coming from. I figure, we get there, leave the XT, the droids being as stupid as they are sorround and open fire, I jet up and shoot a few EMPs."

Theta stumbled along, back the path from whence he came. The battle overhead and on foot still raged on, as troopers dropped left and right, and though not as fast as the droids fell, the clones were living organisms.
The sweat beaded on Theta's forehead, as the wind from both natural and unnatural causes blew its arid death into his mouth. Dust was everywhere fighting was seriously being held, and the nearest dust cloud beckoned every trooper to charge into it, and fight a monster that neither could see or hear what went on inside the dusty stomach, only devouring what sacrifices were destined to perish in the heat of battle, whether it be from friend or foe, as the winds moved the giant sand monsters away to show what it consumed, but only for a brief second, before another blast from the lines created another explosion and created another monstrocity, which caused men to kill their allies if not careful, and bump into foes if not alert.
Theta continued to thirst, ever so slightly, as he trudged on, his concious working against his reasoned instincts which told him to flee. A drive to gain a red badge that so many had earned drove him on, the red badge which did not symbolize cowardice, but the facing of a foe, and then showed that there truely was a badge that symbolized courage. This badge was not made out of metal, but of flesh, bones, and blood, and every soldier wore it proudly, and in spite of teh consequences upon which he recieved it, it branded the wearer for life. This drive, this urge drove Theta on, no matter what he told himself.
But he had no true method of fighting. No true capability of killing a beast without a weapon, and his weapons were not handheld. Theta killed with knowledge and machinery, the same flesh and blood which his enemies used to advance their soiled mainframes and programming.
Theta charged up the hill, and began to fully commit himself, but noticed nothing but the fact that he had come to the back of the front line again. His frenzy dwindled, as the only real comfort, or discomfort, was a faulty AT-XT which had shorted out and nothing but touble.
He no longer had the drive to run down the hill, as his reality began to flood back, and he realised for the first time he would have charged into battle with no weapon.
Theta neared the Transport, and tapped on the glass, one whom he instantly recognised as one who is not a pilot, mechanic, or anything that deals with machines at all. A regular trooper, enhanced by given a jet-pack, fumbled with controls which he obviously handled foolishly. He tapped again harder on the glass, making sure he got the trooper's attention.
"Seems we have a problem." Theta said to himself, brandishing the fusion torch, and pointing to it.
((I don't know how long i'll be on, so this may take till tomorrow...))

"Uhh yeah. I dont know how to work this thing, and it's all screwed up."
Sigma filled theta in on the gameplan.

((AT-XT is like a mini chicken walker by the way))
Eta nodded his agreement with Sigma's plan. He kept up with the XT, ready to ditch when the Sigma did. It wasn't until he lowered his Deece to swap cartridges that he noticed another trooper signalling to the one in the XT.
Eta cracked into a smile. The trooper was missing his helmet, but the armor and the movements of this trooper he recognized.
"Theta!!!"

((theta's helmetless actually. The only helmet he found had a comlink that had all frequencies open and no way to shut it off... other than that, ya.))
Theta looked and gave a little nod towards Eta, and decided it was time for a pilot's work to get started. Though one problem needed to be solved first...
"Get out of my seat." Theta stated, nearly yanking Sigma out, ableit a little harsh, but what can you say for a guy who has just made a long post about dying, and find that he's back in the cheap seats when he starts his suicide run?
Theta looked the craft over, shaking his head to and fro at every little detail.
"Damn piece of s**t... What the hell did you do to her, old bub? There there, my little ducky, I'll make it better," Theta cooed, as he stroked the paneling, flipping switches and knobs, and yanking wires. Though he needed to do somehting about that gun, and what does Theta use to fix, fight, or fend? The Fusion torch was whipped out, and sparks flew faster than anything, though without a face mask, Theta simply hoped he didn't fry the wrong cord.
"Get in, I'm driving," He motioned, as he reached into the back compartment for another pilot's helmet, and closed off the command pod.

((oh sorry, I thought you had merely shut off the comm in that helmet and kept it. I editted my post. I seem to be doign that alot...))
Eta complied and hopped into the machine. Once in, he let Theta do the piloting as he whipped out a cloth from a pouch and began wiping down his beloved scratched-up Deece, which had become caked with the Geonosian dust and sands.

Sigma found himself in the gunner's seat, the one that didn't function.
"I didn't do anything, I found it like that. Can you get the weapon systems back on?"

Theta flipped a switch marked "Weapons Systems Power" on.
"Do you need instruction on how to use that thing? Triggers fire at whatever the crosshairs are aimed at." Theta commented, though wary of the door which was behind his compartment, which he began to believe was not blast proof, and there was the slightest doubt that Eta might jsut want to kill him again.
"Giddyup!" Theta yelled, as he made the front of the AT-XT raise up a wee bit, but just enough to make it almost look horselike... maybe a six legged horse with a weight problem, but a horse none-the-less.
He began charging in, well... lumbering in, cranking the sights up and down to recalibrate the weapons, testing on clumps of droids a ways out to judge the appropriate distance.
"One question. Is there any more of your friends which I should be picking up?"

"If I tell Sara what I'm up to, she'll kill me if I come back alive..so..no."

"Woop." Eta's rifle clattered; he had dropped it when Theta lifted up the walker. He picked it back up again and fingered the new dent in the barrel's metal. He let the pilot do his job, and he would do his. Eta closed his eyes and listened in on various comm channels, flipping through them all to build a general picture of how the battle was going. He fingered the selector switch on his Deece thoughtfully, and clicked the tab over to full auto, then back to semi, then decided he liked the 3-round burst and clicked it back again.

The onslaught of droids continued coming, and Sigma took aim witht he laser turret. Opening a spray of fire, he felled a number of the B1;'s until something hit the turret so fast that he was jerked out of the seat.

The walker trudged on, as Theta began to enjoy the newfound sense of semi-security. Droid parts were flying everywhere, and we don't need to mention what happened to the droidekas.
"Spire, about 2000 meters ahead of us, we're going into the thick of it!" Theta yelled, as he punched the walker to begin a slow plowing into the main ranks, along with others which were not moving as fast.
"Missle droids, inbound, out of turret's radius of fire. May poise a problem." Theta announced, as he blew apart the first squad of droids away.
"Hellfire droid, coming up on portside, 11 o'clock and moving towards 9"

Eta smiled. The walker was a moving fortress...although of course they had to worry about missiles and strong cannon-fire. Eta felt useless just sitting about in the walker, so he popped open a hatch and poked his head out of the top of the walker. A couple of droids took notice, and soon they were lying on the ground with holes smoking straight in the middle of their heads. He grinned and whooped, then turned around to see what else was around the walker.
"Whoops." He ducked down and slammed the hatch shut as a missile shot right above where his head had been. Using the heat scanners in his helmet, Eta located the droid through the metal of the walker's hull and popped open the hatch on top again, his rifle already pointing in the droid's general direction. Half a second later, the droid exploded in fireworks of reddish metal.
