I sort of figured that was the case. I could give you a few hypotetical situations but I don't think I really need to. I just get a bit tired of seeing your sig as if it were directed at me. But thanks for that.

Oh, you're welcome.

Hypothetical situations for what? I'm confused. confused

And my sig's aren't directed at you. My sigs created because I think they are hiliarious, and I only wish to spread the joy/humor.
Well about the single mother thing. Not all single mothers choose or plan to be. Some wish that their significant others had stuck around so I don't think it is always their fault. More of a case by case basis.

As for feminists most of the time I think they are wrong as well but it would be nice for things to actually be equal. If that stat about women making 80% of what men do is infact true then it's a piss off but a lot of women just want the good without the bad. I would be happy to take both and get the gender issues over with. It's a tired battle.
Based on the nature of the location that we are in, I don't want to start a fight... but...

A lot, and I do mean a lot, of single mothers get full custody of their kids through divorce court, taking them from their fathers. This is really bad. They tend to be the feministic type as well. A woman should always take the abortion if she's had a child out of marriage, it's the only smart thing to do. Morals asside, to become a single parent as a teen is just stupid. Plain and simple.

As for the 80% of what men make stat. I actually think it's reasonable because of maternity leave. Companies are forced to offer it, and hold the position for the woman if she has a child. This could cause a tremendous loss in profit for the company as they would be running at less than 100% efficency at that point. I think that if maternity leave stays, that the cut in wages is fair. We could also offer men paternity leave, in which case we cut their wages too, but hold their jobs when they want to take months off when their wife gets pregnant. Or, we can cut the maternity leave all together, and if the woman decides to have a child, she should be willing to risk losing her job. In which case, she can have 100% of what men make.

I'd also like to note that in the office place, men are expected to do more. I've seen it first hand. Men are always expected to move boxes, and do other heavy lifting for women. This isn't part of the job description but it's done anyway, and they get repremanded when they refuse (I've also seen this happen.)

Lets make sure everyone with the same position is doing the same job. Otherwise women do have more rights than men, which is unfair.

Can you give me the url to the sig you just had and previous ones you've had?

Oh sure, I'll PM them to you tomorrow, as I'd probably have to go searching around a bit.

Yeah that is my point. Equality does mean equality both ways and it just isn't there yet.

But with the 80% thing what if the women chooses never to have children? Why should she make 80% less her whole working lifetime if she never uses maternity leave. And this may just be Canadian law but there is a paternity leave. I think the couple gets 6-8 months that they can split how they like. I think the woman usually takes a couple of them near the end of pregnancy, labor and breast feeding but it is the couples choice here.

And I'm not trying to start a fight here by any means. Just a discussion since I'm curious.

I actually had a teacher that had that happen and they left for three months or so but she was still putting the lesson together I think. The substitute still had to refer to the teacher for almost everything. Just thought I'd sate that. I don't know how it works in the business world though. I agree with the men vs women statement in a general sense.

Roffle.
My mother won my two siblings and I because my father was unfit to raise us.
He has eleven kids. Er. Well, some are aduts now. Between the ages of thirty and nine. Eight of them live in another country.
He never paid child support for any of us.

My sister and I were born out of wedlock as well. Was I supposed to be an abortion, then?

I just thought I would share this, it's the top picture:
The Weekly Geek

Okay, apparantly the movie is about some assassin who wants to kill a wtiness by releasing a crate full of snakes onto a plane.

What. The. Hell.

Here's the Internet Movie Database's take on it.

Okay, okay, there's more. They cast REALLY WELL for this movie. I'm talking Samuel L. Jackson and Kenan from Kenan and Kel from Nickelodeon all of those years ago. It's so bizarre. Apparantly the director wanted to call it Flight 157 or something, but Snakes On A Plane is a much more direct title that people probably won't associate with terrorists.

The whole thing is very crazy and I've added it to my list of movies to tell other people about but never see myself.

I think it's funny that the main emphasis was public High Schools but the governor is doing a walk only with what seems like kids in elementary school. Cause you know what would happen if he did it in high schools. xd

I'm actually for this though. I think it's a good idea. I honestly don't eat at school for a few reasons and that's one of them.

I think the main thing to look at is what's it going to do for school funding.

Aww I got out bid in the auction... crying But I can still get a custom. I just wanted the first one.

Edit: The girl I was bidding against had mini wings, a devil tale and a sash. I never stood a chance...

Yay! Confirmation that she will accept for the custom. That makes me feel a bit better.

Now I'm just 2,250 gold and a good idea away from my sea lion slipper!
