When Silva woke up Ice was already digging through her closet, tossing things this way and that. He blinked as a devil tail hit the bed. Then he blinked again realizing that she was in her seldomly used "Gaia" form, complete with white dreadlocks. He had gotten used to the lizard tail.
Then a black pair of silk panties hit him in the face. He grunted, shoving them off and speaking. "What the hell are you doing?"
Ice turned, holding up her jacked-up T-shirt. "I won!"
"... Won what?"
"The raffle!"
Silva jerked, sitting up and looking around, only to relax as the only bloom he saw was the one he had come out of. "Good for you." He said apathetically.
"The clothes are for a picture of me! But that ticket over there is for a feien." Ice said casually, going back to her digging. She didn't even notice the way he jerked again, then dropped off of his bed and headed for the piece of paper.
"Breeding Ticket." He repeated, blankly.
"The next time some of the other feien breed I get one of their babies!"
"... Well... s**t." He got off the bed and headed for the windowsill, picking up his weights and ignoring the sleeping pets. "You want me to raise some other person's brat."
"Well... yeah, I guess you could say that." She turned, holding up her angelic headband and her top hat. "Which one?"
He just glared at her.
"Both then!" She said, happily putting both on and going back to her digging. "Look, sure the kid will have parents, but you'll be the one he... or she... has to deal with on a daily basis. You're the one raising it. Not the parents."
"But the question is why in the hell would I want to raise a feien in the first place." He replied, grunting as he started his barbell squats. He cursed as his knee complained slightly. "Oh, and I want a balance beam."
"... A balance beam?" Ice repeated, then blinked. "Oh! Like the scene from Kill Bill! The one where they're--"
"Yeah. But get back to the subject." He said, doing another squat. "Why."
"Because you don't want the kid to add to the general idiocy that makes up the world? Remember the kid at Walmart?"
"... Dammit."
"But hey, it might be a while before we get the new bloom. There's five other people with one of those things." Ice said, turning to admire herself in the mirror. "How do I look?"
"Like a F'ed up mad hatter." He replied, putting his weight down, trying not to think of how he had only done half of his usual reps and grabbing his dumbbells.
"Too bad it's only waist up... I'm fond of these pants." Ice said, looking down at her camo pants. She reached over, snapping on her half gloves and grabbing her demonic fork. "Gotta go take a picture for her to work off of!" She headed out the door, barely avoiding Kisa as the small tiger walked in.
Silva chewed on his toothpick, watching her go silently before turning to Kisa. "Get to stretching brat, your training begins with a backyard run."
Kisa blinked, confused.
"Don't waste my time." He told her coldly, trying not to think about what Ice had just told him. Kisa nodded, stretching as he told her to, then looking at him expectantly. He put his weights down and walked over to the window, using his giant strength to open it all the way easily. "Get to running."
Kisa jumped out the window, grateful they were on the first level.

His knee was completely healed, no bruise to show that it had even been bothered. But he wasn't going anywhere. Not just yet.
"Set it up again." He called, twirling his staff as Nick and Nack got to work. Each time his time had gotten shorter. But it still wasn't good enough for him to risk going out. And it wasn't just because of the other feien.
He scowled, thinking of the doberman that had taken up running through the neighborhood. He hadn't really been bothered back when he had his chain. A good hit to the eyes or nose got the damn thing running away yelping. But for hand to hand combat Silva would have to get a little too close to his mouth.
Dogs had teeth. He smirked, chewing on his toothpick and thinking. Sure, they had teeth, but that wasn't what bothered him. Dogs weren't guided by logic, as far as he could tell. They just liked to chase whatever ran away. Something that stupid was something to be watched out for.
Not like Silva. Oh, sure, he was dangerous. But he picked his prey carefully, the most vicious rat or snake. The ones that could attack what he controlled. He might enjoy the hunt, but there was reasons for him hunting them in the first place. He glanced out the window, watching Kisa get distracted by a falling snowflake.
"It's ready Boss-man!" Nick called, stepping back. Silva turned, nodding in response and going back to his training. The quick snaps and cracks that came as the popsicles broke one by one made him smirk slightly.
"Two minutes! New record!" Nack called, jotting down a note in his paperwork.
"Needs to be faster. Set it up again." Silva replied coldly, turning back to the window. He jerked slightly as he realized something. Kisa... wasn't there.
"Well... s**t." He muttered, heading for the window and jumping out. Ice would kill him if the cat got dragged off to the zoo. He flew, not wanting to mess up any tracks, then stopped where he had last seen her chasing the snowflake. After a second he lowered slowly to the ground, walking along side the tracks as scowling as they disappeared.
She had been in the middle of the yard, too far for a net to pick her up safely, and there were no prints other then hers. But a tiger didn't just vanish into midair...
Did she?

"I've got no scent." Sonnet said a good hour later. She was up to her shoulders in snow, but she didn't mind it. She was an arctic wolf, after all. Lyric, on the other hand, was freezing.
"M-m-m-me ne-ne-neither." He said from where he was jumping as high as he could to avoid the snow.
Silva nodded, hovering above and once again scanning the snow with a dark look. If Sonnet couldn't pick up anything... then there was no chance in hell of him finding Kisa. Ice was going to kill him...
"Ya don't even LIKE the thing! Can we go in now?" Lyric asked, mid-jump.
Silva didn't reply, leaving Sonnet to sigh and turn to the hyena. "Go in. We'll keep looking."
Lyric paused, not sure it was a good idea, but then nodded, not really wanting to freeze anymore then he had to.
"Silva..." Sonnet said softly after Lyric had left, sighing as the feien didn't look down at her. "I'm sure she's fine. She can take care of herself."
He grunted, pulling his toothpick from his mouth and tossing it to the ground. For a second he stared at the pawprints the tiger had left behind, then nodded, turning back to the house. "C'mon."
"But--"
"We gotta tell Ice." He muttered, so softly that she wouldn't have heard it if she didn't have such exceptional hearing. **********************
"So you can't find her." Ice said, trying to hide her worry. Then she stopped, blinking as she remembered something. "You can't... but I know someone who can."
She walked over to the phone, pressing the redial button and waiting impatiently. She spoke quietly into it for a while, leaving Silva to stare out the window, scowling. Then she hung up, turning to him with a slight smile.
"She's at the clubhouse."
"... The what?"
"Well... that's where the coordinates of her tracking pendent say. And--" Ice pulled out a strange map, rolling it out on the table and checking the coordinates. "Yep. The Alphapet clubhouse. I got a note about where it was... a while ago." She was vague in her explanation, but he wasn't too surprised. He had yet to figure out if she was vague on purpose (Which he seriously suspected) or if she was just a ditz (Which he was also seriously considering.).
"I'm surprised you even bothered to tell me about this." She said, dropping down on the couch next to him, one leg draped over the armrest.
"No one deserves to be stuck in a cage." He muttered, scowling slightly. Ice blinked, not quite sure what he was talking about, then shrugged.
"Some might." Was all she said before flipping on the TV.

Silva was shopping. He nodded, tapping in another word on google by jumping from letter to letter, then nodding to Nick and Nack who were manning the mouse. "X-acto blades, boys. Better then the ones Ice uses."
"But Boss--"
"Sharper then s**t, too." He went on, ignoring Nack's interruption. "Same size as my staff... well, maybe an inch or two longer, but--"
"But Boss--"
"Be a hell of a lot of fun, too."
"Boss!"
"Alright, brat. Whaddaya want?"
"Ice already has your new chain stuff." Nack said, looking guilty. "We weren't supposed to tell you, because--"
"She wants to make sure it works." Nick interrupted, sitting on the mouse and falling on his butt as it slid out from under him.
"... Huh."
"Yep."
"And it's your Christmas present."
"Doesn't mean I can't have an X-acto." Silva replied finally.
"But--"
"But what?" Silva asked, irritation showing only in the slight narrowing of his eyes. "You ever tried to kill a snake with a chain, boys? Damn things keep slipping out of the chokehold."
"Couldn't you just make a spear?"
"... What's the fun in that?" Silva asked darkly, only to step on the ESC button. "I'll get it later."
"Boss... we wanted to ask... um..."
"Spit it out."
"What happened to your chain?"
"..." Silva shrugged, not responding.
"Dude you owe me!" Nick said, holding out his hand to Nack.
"He didn't say it was a female!"
"Like it's not obvious."
"Yeah yeah..." Nack walked away, coming back with one of the chocolate balls he had swiped from the kitchen. It was almost as big as he was.
"Pleasure doin' business wit' you!" Nick said, unwrapping the chocolate with big eyes.
"First war movies... now Mafia movies... What's next? Westerns?"
Nick replied, but didn't make any sense. His mouth was full.

The hope chest was covered with wrapping paper, miniature bags that stood taller then Nick and Nack, and candy wrappers. Nick and Nack lay blissfully sleeping, their bellies full of candy, a half eaten candycane next to them.
Silva stood in the windowsill, swinging the silver necklace for a second before kicking out to send the small ball bearing at the end towards the punchingbag. It hit with a vicious thud, making him smirk before swinging it it over his neck to shorten the hit. Then he turned, sending it out again, slamming it into the punching bag.
Ice was gone, run off to family or something, but she had been there long enough to give them their gifts and wish them all a Merry Christmas. Whatever the hell that was.
He shrugged, trying another trick from Kill Bill, the ball wrapping around the punchingbag and tightening. The bag burst.
"...Damn." He muttered, letting the chain loosen and walking over to the punching bag. He fingered the beads that had fallen out, then turned, scowling slightly. He would need a tougher target.
He snorted, wrapping the chain up, but stopping before wrapping it around his waist. The necklace was a good twelve inches long. Far too long to sit comfortably around his waist... So he looped it three times, hanging it across his body like a bow and arrow bag. He would just have to get bigger, he thought, getting accustomed to the weight quickly. The bearing hung loosely at his side.
For a second he turned, looking at the other gifts and shrugging slightly. Only to walk over, grab one of the chocolate covered cherries from the gigantic box Ice had gotten him, and head for his garden.
So this was Christmas...

The dolls were delivered a few days after Christmas. Silva looked them over appraisingly. They weren't pretty, by any means, but he figured it would be easier for the girls to beat on something not cute. He stepped forward, hauling one over his shoulder and heading into his room. It was huge, the head almost touching the floor in front of him, the feet dragging on the floor behind him, one arm touching the ground. But the weight was about right, he figured, levitating both himself and the training tool onto the hopechest before dropping it and heading over to the sleeping Nick and Nack. He nudged them with a foot, then turned and whistled loudly. The ferret sleeping in the corner jerked awake and ran to him, even as the boys groaned, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes. "Wha--" Nick muttered, blinking up at Silva. "You two are going to make a delivery for me." Silva said, reaching down and stealing a piece of Nack's paper and pencil lead to write something down. then he walked over to the corner, picking up the small set of directions to BT's house that he had gotten from the store. "Take the rat and one of those dolls over there. I'll get the other one where it needs to go later." He handed Nack the map and the note. "Put this with it." He muttered, turning back to his own training doll. There was a slight smirk on his face as he chewed his toothpick. The secret santa thing might have been worth it, after all.

He missed the cat. He scowled, cursing his boredom as he sat in the window, watching the snow falling in the backyard. He didn't even LIKE the cat and he missed her... or at least missed bossing her around. It gave him something to watch outside. As it was all that was in front of him was snow... and more snow.
He scowled, reaching up to situate the toothpick in his mouth, just for something to do with his time. He had gotten used to the cold after a while, not even noticing it after forcing himself to put up with it long enough. But he still preferred summer. He missed surfing.
He had things he needed to do, he neeed to get his old chain back from Banana Tango, take the training doll over to Berra... But he didn't really care about his old chain as much. Not with his new one hanging on his shoulder. His leg kicked a little, hanging over the side of the windowsill, the cold air making him have to move slightly to keep from freezing.
He wasn't feeling social... wasn't feeling much of anything, actually. He had even done twice his usual routine of running, weight lifting, and his new balance beam practice just to make himself feel. It hadn't worked. Not even when he fell off for the fifth time. A pencil and two hardback books made up his new toy, the pencil taped down with scotchtape so it wouldn't roll on him. It didn't have to roll, he fell off easily enough as it was.
He could go ferret gliding, he thought, not really feeling like it. He could go driving in the remote control car... but he didn't feel like that, either. He wanted to go surfing. But the pools were put away, and getting wet in the middle of winter probably wasn't the smartest idea...
But... He shoved himself to his feet, a slight smirk crossing his face as he headed for his surfboard. He looked it over, noting that it was a little too big for him... again. But it would have to do. He tucked it under his arm and headed out the window, flying to the top of the hill like backyard.
He stopped, dropping to the ground, falling slightly into the snow, up to his ankles as he put the surfboard down and put one foot on it. For a second he turned, eyeing the snow with a little hint of pleasure in his eyes, then stepping onto the board and shoving off.
The wind was biting, and he had to tuck his wings in tight to his back so he went faster. He angled his body, swerving his board through the snow, making him laugh slightly as he came to a halt right in front of the porch and stepping off to flap his wings and get rid of the snow. He blinked at the sight of Nick and Nack waiting patiently, hugging themselves to keep warm.
"And you want...?" Silva asked.
Nick pointed at the board. "Ca-can we?"
"... Can you get it up the hill?"
"We'll use TZ." Nack said, letting out a whistle. The two boys were gone before Silva could reply, riding the ferret as it ran up a fence and to the top of the hill. Silva snorted, watching the two boys sit on the board and sled down the hill. Then he took the board again.
And that's how Silva learned how to snowboard.

It was his summonday, Silva thought, glaring at his weights. He hoped Ice would forget. With all these holidays at the same time he was getting sick of getting things. He chewed on his toothpick, listening for Ice to enter the room. Nothing happened.
"Think she forgot?" Nick asked, quietly, making Silva grit his teeth slightly.
"Na. Ice likes to torment him more then that." Nack replied, not looking up from where he was writing.
"You trying to piss me off, boys?" Silva asked, making them both jerk guiltily.
"Nope."
"Not us!"
"Good." He turned, once more lifting his weights. He had lost count a while ago, but switched hands anyways, noting the way that Nack jerked slightly and figuring he hadn't finished his usual reps. Oh well.
Where WAS she? He seethed silently, chewing on his toothpick more. He wanted to get it over with! He kept lifting, speeding up slightly as he looked pointedly away from the door. For four months, four MONTH she hadn't forgotten. But on his FIFTH--
"I'm ba-aack!!" The door came open, making them all jerk before trying to look as if they didn't care. Ice danced in, dropping on the bed and popping open the bottle that she had brought with her.
"Um... Ice?"
"Hmm?" She asked, taking a gulp before glancing over at Nack.
"Aren't you um... forgetting something?" He asked, flushing slightly.
"The lime?" She replied, cocking her head. I guess I'm just not--"
"No, I meant Silva's--"
"Shuddup brat."
"Silva... Silva..." Ice paused, looking thoughtful. "Oh! Um... wait... not remembering anything..."
"What?" Silva asked, shocked enough to sound angry. "Dammit woman--" He stopped, slamming his mouth shut and turning away again.
"It's New Year's Eve, guys! So for summonday I'm going to let you all get plastered!" Ice announced, making Silva turn again, raising an eyebrow.
"So you didn't forget."
"Course not. Grab a bottlecap, Babe. Let's get smashed."
"Now that's my idea of a summonday." He replied, jumping off of the hopechest and crossing the room. She had the bottlecap full by the time he got there, as well as another for Nick and Nack to share. Silva smirked, grabbing the cap and chugging it down.
"I used to think I'd wait till you were grown to let you drink, but hell, five months is old enough." Ice said, ignoring the fact that they had done this a few times before. But then it had been just wine coolers.
*An hour or two later*
"Damn woman, you have no alcohol tolerance, do you."
"Hic!" Ice looked at him through slitted eyes, smiling crookedly. "I'sh not--not-- dwunk."
"If I wasn't plastered I might not believe you." He replied, his voice barely slurred. He looked over to where Nick and Nack were dancing drunkenly and snorted before crawling over to their cap and finishing it off for them. Then he fell on his face, snoring.

Silva's Secret Santa((Silva and Fifth... somehow the fact that the two don't hate each other is more frightening then if they did...)) A tiny, neat hand TO SILVA Even though you do not know me, nor I you, I assure your gifts are in the finest taste and quality. I have purchased for you only things which I have additionally gotten for myself, so you must enjoy them, because I do. This is a small keychain with a bear head which is useful for bashing people over the head. The tiny bear can inflict much damage when swung. Or I suppose you could use it for your keys, if head-bashing is not precisely your "cup of tea." This is candy from Japan which is a) an unpleasant green color which I am told indicates tea and is more delectable on the tongue than on the eyes, b) a brown color roughly the shade of dung, but you may identify it as chocolate by the taste, and c) pink with spikes, some form of strawberry which even the shopkeeper was at a loss to make clear, so you will have to tell me what it is like. These are several bottles with printed emblems. One has on it a bomb, another a candy cane as befits the season, and the third a head with pink wings, which is supposed to indicate a fairy, but clearly the bottle's creators have never seen a fairy. If you follow by the pictures on the bottle, you must put explosives in the first, candy canes in the second, and yourself in the third. I will join you if you become frightened or require aid. Alternately, you can put anything in them that you like. I recommend putting your candy canes in the one marked bombs, your bombs in the one marked candy canes, and yourself in the fairy bottle. The last item is a charm which I was impressed upon to include. The charm is pink, because as we are fairies, we must love pink, or so I have been told. Lastly, I give you my most precious possession: my chocolate body paint. This is for causing skin to be tasty and encouraging, as the container says, sensual contact. I am only giving you half, for it is a treasure among treasures, but I am giving you the container for your ease of use. If you have any questions about the many uses of this marvelous material, I am happy to assist in any way necessary, particularly if you are hot. At the end of the letter, I am supposed to put some sort of seasonal greeting. Sincerely, (a name has been crossed out here several times so the letters are completely obscured)Your VERY SECRET Santa ((Had to put it in here))

Silva was beating the stuffing out of his training doll, each whack from his staff hitting the X's on the doll with somewhat regular accuracy. He jabbed at the X over the heart then flipped his hold, swinging at the X at the neck of the doll. Then he stepped back, frowning. There were a few spots missing.
"Give me your lead, Nack." He said, holding out his hand without even looking. The piece of lead was placed in his hand and he stepped forward, eyeing the doll for a second before making three more X's. One for each ear, the other on the back, right where the base of the wings would be, had the doll had wings. Then he tossed the lead back to Nack and went back to his practicing, incorporating the new spots in his drill.
"Hey, Boss-man... we were wondering..." Nack started out, only to be interrupted by Nick.
"That Banana girl. You think she knows what she's using the doll for?"
Silva stopped, shrugging slightly and chewing on his toothpick. "Doesn't matter. As long as she does it." He replied after a second of thought. He turned back to his practice, putting the staff down and using fists this time. "She does it often enough her body will know what to do for her." He went on, kneeing the poor plush in the crotch then delivering a sharp, punishing blow to the throat.
The door opened, making them all glance up as Ice walked in. "I've got some good news and some bad news, boys." She announced, dropping down on the bed and eyeing Silva's practice curiously. "We're going out of town for a while this week. Maybe."
"Maybe?" Nack aked blankly.
"Um... Yeah, we either leave or we get Iced over here and can't go." Ice replied, shrugging. "No power then, so we'd be stuck here with candles and no heat. It happens."
"... That sounds... fun." Nack replied dryly.
"Exactly."
Silva was silent, thinking over his options, not that they were really options, so to say... but he was getting sick of being in the house... and the neighborhood... and the state in general. He had even been contemplating skipping out.
"Fine." He finally muttered, "Where are we going?"
"I uh... can't tell you just yet. Don't want to disappoint you if we don't end up going." Ice replied, mentally adding 'Or for you to bolt, which is more likely...' "But I suggest you guys pack your bags, leave notes to your friends and get ready for some time away, either way. If we've got no power we won't be talking to them online. And where we're going I don't think we'll have net, either."
"Ever heard of a telephone?" Silva asked dryly.
"Sure have! That's why I'll be calling TB either way. But unfortunately, TB isn't involved in the feien thing, so she won't be telling people how we're doing here."
"Like they would care. I wouldn't."
"I would!!" Nick called.
"Dumbass, WE'RE the ones that are going to be gone!" Nack said, hitting Nick upside the head.
"But that's why I would care!" Nick whined, rubbing his head. Silva merely snorted, turning away. Then he stopped. "How long will we be gone?"
"At least four days."
"Then I'm taking my weights with me." He replied, and that was that. He was already composing the letter to Berra in his mind. It didn't take much time, he had never been big on writing, after all.

A Moment with Nick and Nack ((Not for points of course))
Nick and Nack sat on the windowsill, their legs dangling off the edge as they watched the rain pour down. "It's not freezing..." Nick offered, his voice startling in the silence.
"It won't." Nack replied, but he sounded doubtful.
"Hope it won't." Nick replied, sighing and kicking a leg slightly. "You know where we're goin?"
"Nope."
"... Huh." Silence stretched between them for a while, until Nick spoke again. "You know where Silva is?"
"Nope." They sighed, bored, but too lazy to go anywhere.
"You think they make girls in our species?" Nick asked, making Nack groan.
"What's with the stupid questions, Nick?" Nack asked, sounding frustrated.
"It ain't stupid! I want a girlfriend!"
"Use your hand."
Nick went silent, the held up his hand, pretending it was talking as he pitched his voice into a bad falsetto. "Hello, Nick! Would you like to go on a date?"
Nack choked, then started laughing so hard tears threatened. "Man, you really ARE a dumbass!" He said, almost choking on his laughter.
"It was YOUR idea!"
Nack didn't reply. He was too busy laughing his head off. Nick just pouted, rubbing his hand. "Don't listen to him, honey. He just doesn't know true love when he sees it." He consoled the hand, making Nack start laughing even harder.
"You know, you could pass off as a girl." Nick said, looking thoughtful. Nack shut up, his expression going dark. "What? It's not as if we've ever looked!"
"You're sick, man. Seriously sick."
"No, really! How do we know you're not a girl? Dude, you even talk like one!"
"I'm a BOY." Nack replied, glaring at him.
"I want proof!"
"You're ate up."
When Silva came home it was to the sight of Nack crawling up the plush training doll while Nick tugged at his pants. "C'mon MAN! I just wanna look!!" Nick said, tugging harder.
"Look down your own pants, you perv!" Nack replied, clinging to the doll's head with all his strength.
Silva blinked, then turned, leaving as quietly as he had come.

*The morning after the trip*
"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Ice whimpered, not moving from where she was glued to her bed. "Covering four parks in three days is just... insane." She turned a little green, shoving herself to her feet and racing towards the bathroom. Silva ignored her. He had been ignoring her for a while, now. Ever since the moment he realized they were going to Hell on Earth.
He groaned slightly, sitting up on his tiger bed and rubbing his temple. Then he paused, looking blankly at his hand for a second. It was huge. Dammit, if he was having a hallucination now wasn't the time to start.
"Urk..." Ice leaned against the doorway, shoving her hair out of her face and glancing over at him. "Huh... Looks like you grew up, Babe." She muttered, then crawled back into bed and went back to sleep.
Silva nodded, almost dumbly, then shoved himself to his feet, a little awkardly, looking down at himself. He looked like... He looked like... holy s**t he looked like the smoker from the jungle. The same wirey build, the muscles obvious, but not huge, the hands tough... He headed over to the nearest mirror, looking himself in the eye.
The same cold look, too.
Slowly a little smirk pulled at his full lips and he turned, pulling his wings around his shoulders like a coat. Yeah... he could live with this. He thought, admiring his height for a while. He could live with this quite well. And the build would be great for surfing. He turned, heading for the surfboard that was no longer a bit too big for him, then heading outside, back into the snow for some celebratory snowboarding.
He would have to get used to his height sooner or later, right?

*FLASHBACK PART I*
Do you know how hard it is sneaking three mini males and a handful of sprockets into an airport? Looking back all I can say is the guy doing the scan must have thought they were dolls or something... No wonder he gave me an odd look.
But it wasn't until we were on the plane that things really got interesting...
Silva sat leaning back against the shadow sprocket, a cherry in one hand, a small icing tube that had been converted into a water bottle in the other. The backpack was reasonablelly largesave for some comic books, a few regular books and a notebook or two if I got the urge to write. And he WAS only 4.25" tall. He motioned to the ice sprocket dancing quietly in the corner.
"We got an ice storm back home..." He said, looking up at me and chewing on his ever present toothpick.
"Ummhmm..."
"And you're taking that thing to Florida." He went on.
"Yep."
"When it needs an hour in it's own element daily."
"We'll put her in a cup of ice. She'll be fine!" I replied, grinning. I had thought that one through. Silva just snorted, taking another bite of cherry and glancing over at where Nick and Nack were playing tag with the other sprockets.
"And the storm one?"
"The shower!"
"For an hour?"
"We'll split the time up. Do fifteen minutes at a time or something. Relax already, this is going to be fun!"
He just snorted, going back to his cherry and looking around. His weights were in the corner, but she had made him leave the training doll behind. In other words he wasn't as happy as he could have been. He snorted, leaning back again. The one thing he DID like about the sprockets was the new shadow one. He hadn't really thought about naming it, but he already had something he called it. "Mine."
We all fell silent, the two boys comfortable with their new friends, Silva with his new "Companion"" and me with a good book. Not to mention a pair of headphones. We actually tend to be a quiet group... when we're not arguing with each other, that is.
And when we landed my uncle came and picked us up. Mom and I were shown to our room and I transferred the guys and the sprockets to a smaller backpack so we could go check out City Walk in the middle of the night.
The sound of Disco music reached my ear as we headed for the first bar, as well as the sight of several males and only a few females. Silva climbed out of the bag, confident that there were enough shadows that no one would notice him, and sat on my shoulder, looking around for a second. He eyed two males talking happily over in the corner, then snorted. "Gay bar." He muttered calmly.
"You sure?" I whispered back, trying not to laugh.
"Rather not find out, actually."
"Hey! Hey! We wanna see!" Nick called from the bag, making Silva look down with a snort.
"Too bad."
"We can ride in Ice's shirt!" Nick said, hopping up and grabbing my shirt to haul himself up.
"Where AT in my shirt?" I asked, suspicious. The little wolf boy was as big a perv as Silva was... sometimes more. He stopped on my shoulder, pointing at the dip between my breasts and I groaned. "I don't think so."
"But it's plenty big enough!" Nick argued, grabbing on for dear life as I turned and followed the others away from the bar.
"No!"
And if anyone noticed me arguing with myself they probably just thought I was drunk. I hope.

*Present*
Silva examined his old weight system, chewing on his toothpick as he looked thoughtful. Then he nodded, stepping forward to take the thing apart. He didn't trust Nick and Nack with the hard work, expecially since neither could pick up the large machine bearings that made up the weights.
He reached out, untying the rope that hooked under the bearings, letting the stick attached to the ropes go limp, then repeated the process with the other rope. He would need the weights, and some of the wood, but it would have to be twice as tall as it was.
"Bring the pencils." He said, earning nods as Nick and Nack each dragged two pencils over. Silva tilted the long pencils against the side windowframe, slipping the bases into the heavy hores shoe like pieces of steal Ice had nailed to the windowsill, then took the smaller pencils, lying them horixontally on yet more hooks, then taping them to the long pencils. Soon he had two A like structures. He reached for the last pencil, yet another short one, and tied it so it was towards the top of the A.
"Rope." He grunted, grabbing the rope that was handed to him, then looking down at it in disgust. "Longer, dumbass." He took the next pieces, tossing them over the top pencil and letting them hang there as he headed over and grabbed the machine bearings, placing them between the pencil structures and slipping the rope through the holes, tying a knot at the bottom, so the bearings wouldn't slip off.
This time he didn't bother with the wooden pulls, not needing them. He grabbed the other ends of the rops, tying them so each had a loop at the end, perfectly sized for his hands to go through.
He turned so his back was to the contraption, and tugged on one of the ropes, pulling the bearings off of the ground. Then he stopped, scowling as he heard the rope grind against the wood. He turned, heading for his supply of various sized nuts and bolts, coming back with two tiny bolts that had lost their thread long before. He slipped the threads through the bolts, bringing them up so they were on top of the top board, then taping them in place.
He turned, once again testing the machine, this time smirking slightly as he stepped away. Nick and Nack grinned broadly, looking proud of themselves.
"What's with the looks, boys?" Silva asked.
"Nothin, Boss-man."
"That's what I thought." He replied, but there was a little grin pulling at his lips as well.
