Raven rose as he was told and would have moved aside if it hadn't looked like Gaia was ready to kill Jack but then again it may have already been too late.. she had his collar in her grasp. Watching intently the interaction between the two Raven found he couldn't peel his eyes from Jack's...
"Here."
"Wha..?" he blinked down at the bundle he was presented with and then looked up to find expectant rubies. Guyy actually trusted Raven with his and Kaori's child? The question was plain in his turquoise orbs and after a moment he accepted the light weighted, and well wrapped newborn. He paused only long enough to get a good look before looking back to Guyy again and finding Jack's no.. the phoenix's golden eyes looking at the babe in his arms.
He hadn't missed their conversation at all. He wanted to ask about Kaori's health but he didn't know when the phoenix would hide herself within Jack once again so the blond addressed Jack's other half first, making sure he caught golden orbs. "We should talk more. But I want you to know I'll help you and protect you any way that I can."
Ever so softly, there was a shadow of a smile upon his lips and a sincerity in his eyes that would not go mistaken. Simple, to the point and would give her more than enough to think about for a while perhaps. He wanted the firebird to know that she didn't have to be alone and locked away like she had been within Jack. Somehow Raven finally grasped the surface of the injustice of what had been done to both Jack and the phoenix.

Guyy laughed under his breath at the unspoken question in Raven's eyes. He merely nodded once in reply, with a gentle smile. They might argue and even fight, but there was no doubt in his mind he would trust Raven without question if it came down to it. Certainly with his child. After all, Aldric was also Kaori's son and he knew Raven would do anything for her. He eased the baby over to him, watching with a small smile as Raven held the child for the first time.
Aldric did look awfully small in his arms, but very safe. And judging by the gaze the blond gave him, Guyy would never have a reason to doubt Raven's trustworthiness with his children. It was reassuring to him, in a way, to know he was there if he was ever needed. Best of enemies.
Astrossa leaned over the child cautiously, taking a look while she had use of Jack's body. She smiled and cooed a little. Humanoid babies were odd little things. But she couldn't argue against his cuteness, or the little pang of affection his sleepy face inspired in her. She hesitantly reached out a hand, surprised to discover the skin of his arm was so soft and so warm. He really was the most endearing little thing she had ever seen. Though Raven's words to her caught her attention and made her golden eyes lock with his turquoises.
"Hm." She said, amusement on her features. With a smooth and graceful movement she stood on the tips of her toes and planted a light kiss on his cheek in gratitude. "Likewise, Raven. As the boy's mate and protector you have more than earned my own protection and assistance." She lowered head slowly and politely. "I can see why he is so fond of you. It is good to see you for myself, rather than through his eyes. Though I admit, when I see you from his perspective it can be quite... interesting." There was a little smirk on her lips. With a gentle sigh she lowered herself down onto her feet again and stepped back.
"We shall speak often, I am sure. I am only a word away after all. I am always watching." Another smirk and a light, musical giggle. "Well, almost always watching. Some moments are private." She gave him a sensual and knowing wink before she closed her eyes. When they opened again a breath later they were green. Jack looked around and got his bearings again.
"That's unnerving." He complained before spotting Raven holding the baby. His face cracked into a wide grin as he stepped forward to get a good look at him over Raven's arms. "Oh, he's so cute! Look at his little nose, Raven!" he gushed, his slender fingers catching Raven's waist very gently as he looked up at the blond for an instant. He couldn't stop smiling.

His eyes followed her every movement, widened slightly at the kiss upon his cheek and once again caught those golden orbs as she moved away. He hung onto every word for once he'd been paying deliberate attention, meeting her like this, well it didn't happen everyday.
And then she closed her eyes and when they re-opened they were emerald, not gold. She was in the background again while Jack investigated the new born, not once did the blond take his eyes off him. There was a pause as Jack smiled up at him and then, "Would you like to hold him?" He felt quite awkward cradling a baby in his arms and figured Jack would take to it much easier than he was.
Besides, he turned to Guyy, .. "How's Kaori?" his eyes flickered to the bed seeing her sleeping still, Ilia cuddled up on the one side of her and then moved back, catching sight of the goddess on the way back to making sure the transfer of baby to Jack was safe and complete.

Astrossa lurked inside the youth. She had been tempted to say so much more, to embarrass Jack entirely with the things she knew about him in regards to Raven. But this was a special occasion. Perhaps next time. For now she allowed Jack to take the lead as she fluffed up in her gilded cage and brooded a little happily. That was her first time meeting a human hatchling. She was surprised it wasn't screaming for food.
Jack cooed over the baby, resting his cheek on Raven's bicep to get a better look. His glance upward made the little redhead blush as he realised he was being watched. His grin spread. And then widened. "I can hold him? Really?" He glanced to Guyy for confirmation and got a gentle nod from the snakeman. With a little squeak of delight he held his arms out and accepted the small squirming bundle.
He cradled the child with a natural sort of affection and flair, rocking him slightly as he murmured little greetings and nonsense down at him. He was absolutely captivated. He glanced up to the others briefly as they spoke, but turned his eyes down again. he kept listening curiously though as he paced a little slowly.
"Ilia sweetheart, why don't we go find Cloudchaser and he can teach you a blessing for your brother?" Gaia said softly, holding out a hand to the little android as she caught the question from Raven to Guyy. There was no sense worrying the child after all. "Go on honey. We'll still be right here. We're just going to talk about boring grown up stuff anyway." Guyy smiled and nodded. He helped her up from where she lay and down off the bed. Shyly she reached out to her grandmother and took her hand, watching her parents over her shoulder as the goddess led her away towards the waterfall and out of earshot.
Guyy watched her go. Once she was out of sight he looked up at Raven with a small crease of concern on his forehead. Good thing Raven hadn't been here when she was human or he probably would have panicked. "She'll be fine, once she's recovered." He said softly. He really hoped she would be like Gaia said. "It was... there was a complication. She took care of it herself, but it exhausted her. She's just sleeping now." He sighed finally, reaching out to brush his fingers over her cheek with obvious tender affection. "She was amazing." He murmured.

Raven frowned at the news, padding over and watching the exchange between Guyy and Kaori. With curiosity he examined the newest looking blanket of the lot and felt the unease in him lift away. This was no ordinary blanket. Draped over Kaori it was no doubt feeding her precious energy, but she should be awake.
"How exhausted?" he looked to Guyy suspiciously as he dug for his answer.
Something penetrated the comforting darkness of her dreamless world, a sweet scent that drifted close by, if only she could turn her head, she could follow it, good enough to eat, she felt so hungry. But her head.. it felt so heavy, she couldn't move it even though she wanted to and it bothered her greatly. And then it was gone and it left in it's wake a pang of wanting, what if it didn't come back? Just one taste... and her chance was gone. Maybe.... hopefully she'd have another chance.
Tired... so tired.
... why?

Guyy turned away once again when Raven asked his question. He didn't want to answer that. It had frightened him terribly, and he knew it would worry the blond as well. He gazed down at his beloved, slumbering deeply. Reaching out he allowed his hand to cup and linger on her cheek gently. He brushed his thumb slowly over her skin. He could sense her heart beating within her, but her continued unconsciousness was a huge concern for him. Normally she would have at least come round from an injury by now. He still remembered her healing her arm that had been torn off. She had needed to sleep then, but her sleep had been short. He left his hand against her cheek and looked back up to Raven, hesitating.
"She passed out in my arms. She couldn't even stand up on her own." He admitted finally, lowering his eyes and knowing at the heart of it he had been the cause. "She was human, Raven. She couldn't even keep her form. I thought... I was frightened that she..." He trailed off. He couldn't bring himself to continue.
Jack cradled the baby and looked up finally from his face, hugging him against his chest and wrapping him in a small bubble of warmth. Just warm enough to be similar to the comfort of his mother's womb. "But she's going to be okay.... right?" He asked quietly. Glancing up to Guyy's face and the worry in his ruby eyes for a moment he wasn't sure. Yet the snake eventually nodded slowly. "Then it doesn't matter how bad things were. It's over now, and look at the result." He said encouragingly, cooing down at Aldric once more.

Raven sighed at the news.
"Kaori you idiot." he told her flat out to her unconscious form and then looked up to Guyy. "She'll be fine alright, just used up nearly all of her energy. She could have waited with fixing the complication, she can put that stuff on hold but she just wanted to get it over with." he shook his head at her. "I guess she figures the sooner it was dealt with, the sooner she's out of danger. She's safe enough with all of us around anyway.
Yaone where.. there you are.. come here please." the blond requested of the black snake and as she made her way to the blond he explained.
"There is one way to have her wake quicker."
He held out his left wrist within striking distance of the almost black snake, here and there her scales glittered a deep jungle green. "Right here, and one mark if you can.."
Her head blinked up at Raven and she nodded striking quickly, nailing a single fang into the crevice between tendons and bone on the left side of his left wrist, and when she finally struggled her fang free, his blood rushed to marr his pale skin. She had punctured the small artery there.
He was quick about gently parting Kaori's lips with a thumb upon her bottom lip and placing the wound where the escaping crimson liquid could easily fall past her lips. Feeding her. Luckily she was at just such an angle that it would be easy drinking. "Now.. we wait. I'll need some sort of a bandage or something in a bit."
The sweet scent that drifted to her was not that of the first but an older more familiar one and it was stronger, it came close somewhere in the dark and then there was taste of it. Delicious sweet, rich and warm.
Kaori swallowed and long moments later she swallowed again and again, each bit of the sweet crimson liquid was quickly devoured by her body and returned her strength bit by bit. The darkness became easier, lighter, as did her head and limbs feel lighter as though weighs were being lifted from them. Another gulp and her senses came back more clearly, there was something held against her lips, but it oozed the nutrition her body craved.
"Common Kaori, rise and shine. We're all waiting."
She knew that voice.. Raven. This was his blood? Delicious. There were others? She swallowed and licked at that wound, very feline-like in her demeanour, eyes still closed a moment before groggily her eyes partially lifted. The world, a blur of light and shadow, hurt and so she closed her eyes again. But the sweet liquid wasn't taken away from her yet she suckled further for a moment, how much had she taken from him already? She swallowed again.
"No more.." he gingerly pulled away from where she had lifted a hand to gently touch his arm and covered the wound with his right hand. He couldn't handle much more draining and shuffled to sit at the end of the bed, out of the way.
"Raven.." her tone was weak and worried, she tried her eyes again, squinting it was easier to rest them, they still felt so heavy. "Shouldn't... have.. " but that ended the thought on that. "Oro... ?" and there was something important she only just remembered, "Aldric... where..?"

It sounded like Kaori. She wanted it over with. She wanted to be safe and healthy to be with her child. Guyy thought back to what happened. Perhaps she didn't fully estimate how much it would tax her to heal herself right after giving birth. She had tried to stand before she collapsed. She probably didn't realise just how much energy she had used. She had probably hoped to have enough left that simply resting would have been enough for her. But yes, she was safe, surrounded by family of various kinds.
Guyy turned to watch as Raven called for Yaone, allowing her to pierce his skin and milk a vein of sweet blood. Of course. With everything happening as it had Guyy had forgotten how she fed. It seemed so obvious now. Though he would never had dreamt of giving her his own blood while she was human. With all the toxins that normally flowed through him he would have done more harm than good. Raven had a clean, fresh supply. He could sustain her a little much better than Guyy could.
He moved on the bed, allowing Raven to get as close to her as he needed and dropping his own hand from her cheek. He watched her closely, waiting for any sign she was recovering, all senses attuned to her minutely. There, she swallowed. Guyy smiled as slowly she began to stir. He kept tabs on Raven too, to ensure he didn't spare too much. While it was noble of him to assist her like this, it would do no good to any of them if he ended up fainting. When he sensed that he was reaching his safe limit he grabbed up one of the smaller towels Ilia had brought at held it out to him. Raven pulled away from her just a moment later.
"Here, apply pressure with this and don't move too much. Don't get up. There's room to lie down if you feel light headed. Thank you Raven." He said to the blond as he moved to sit on the edge of the bed. Though the words of his beloved had his attention. He would find a way to show his gratitude to Raven's quick thinking later. For now he replaced his hand on Kaori's cheek and smiled down at her. She was awake, though barely.
"Shh. I'm here love. We're here. It's okay." He crooned gently, stroking her hair with tenderness. He looked over his shoulder to Jack with the baby. He was already coming over, having watched Raven and Kaori very carefully. He'd heard her call for her son. Jack held him out to Guyy who took him with a smile and turned back to his love. "he's right here love. Jack's been keeping him warm for us." He grinned, holding her in front of her so that she could see him. She would still be too tired to hold him, he imagined. With a careful thought he lay the baby on her chest and began to shuffle a little on the bed.
Carefully and slowly he tucked his arms beneath her shoulders, easing her up off the bed. He slipped behind her, long legs tucking either side of her. He rested her back against his chest, acting as pillow and support for her. His arms curled around her, helping her to hold Aldric while she recovered and rested, his lips brushing against her cheek and temple. "I love you." He whispered in her ear quietly.
Jack turned to Raven, crouching in front of him as he regarded the small puncture with a grimace. As much as he hated seeing Raven hurt he knew there was nothing he could have done to stop him once he had the thought in his head. "That was very kind of you Raven." He said softly, pressing the towel back down against the wound firmly and ducking his head to kiss Raven's fingers. Of course, Kaori drank blood. He knew that, though it was rarely witnessed. He chewed on his lip a little thoughtfully and looked up at Raven.
"She'll get better faster if she drinks more, right?" He asked, emerald eyes dancing. He looked to the tired woman with her baby and stood up. It made sense to him anyway. He moved close to Raven, hugging his shoulders and pressing his cheek to his in a gentle nuzzle. And then he held his arm out to the black snake, his eyes seeking hers and silently offering himself to her sharp fangs as well. A little from each of them, and she'd be able to hold and love her son. It was a small sacrifice for a great need.

Of them all, Raven knew he was the one most familiar and therefore conscientious about Kaori's eating habits. He was glad that he'd been able to get her to stir from her deep slumber, sure she could have slept to gain her energy back over the next few days but this was much faster. In a way, it had been intimate. Sharing something with her of which he could immediately see the results of was almost fascinating. He pressed the towel firmly to his wrist, hardly needing to hear Guyy's advice but kept focused now on stopping the flow of blood.
Jack came over and his fingers eased in to take over for a few moments, peeking at the small puncture, the blood was already getting sticky, before he pressed the towel down again. What he didn't expect was the kiss he received, "Jack.. it was needed. That's all." Hugged and nuzzled, his cheeks began to feel warm. It wasn't really such a big deal, that he saw anyway. His eyes followed Jack as he made to offer his wrist to Yaone.
Yaone hesitated, her mistress was awake now and it was to her that the nearly black snake regarded as Jack offered her wrist. It was one thing when Kaori was fully asleep, you couldn't take direction from her, she was unable to give it. But now she was awake and the snake would only follow what she wanted.
Kaori sighed softly in relief, everything was ok. Having been moved to sort of sit up with her love cradling her, it was easier to see the exchange that buzzed around her. It was easy to keep her eyes on her newborn, he stirred just as sleepily as she did and make a soft little grunt of a noise. She smiled softly, he was so cute... but then was drawn to Jack's words and she lifted her gaze drowsily, Yaone was looking at her expectantly. And there was a silent exchange. Kaori didn't know what she'd do without Yaone.
Yaone turned just ever so slightly as though she were getting the last bit of a conversation from her mistress and then looked at Jack. -My missstresss feelsss conflicting emotionsss.... Yaone looked to Raven,-Grateful but alssso apologetic for the burden.- Her fire amber orbs blinked up at Jack once again., -Sssshe feels resssissstant but.. will accept only if thisss isss sssomething you really want to do. It'sss unnecessssary.- she paused for a moment turning back to Kaori as though getting yet another message and nodding. -Sssshe is alsso unsssertain about returning to the mansion.- Yaone could feel the conflicting emotions settle in her mistress now that Yaone had gotten them vocalized for her. -Perhapsss, waiting until we return isss a better idea? Ssshe worriesss about all of your sssafety.-

Jack continued nuzzling and cuddling up to Raven quietly as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Which perhaps for him it was, though he had good reason for feeling extra affectionate today. It was, as he saw it, one of the best days ever. For a variety of reasons now. He smiled at Raven. "Yes, true. But not everyone will do what's needed willingly like that." He sighed, speaking a little wistfully though his smile never left his lips. He turned his attention to the snake.
"Well she shouldn't feel conflicted." Jack retorted with a little laugh. His emeralds danced from Yaone to Kaori and he gave her one of his endearing broad grins. "It's no burden. It's just a bit of blood. I'll make more, with a nap and some good food. And see? It's done Raven no harm at all so it won't hurt me either." He nodded with a stubbornness not too often seen in the little redhead. He kept his arm extended patiently as he looked back to Yaone. "And you don't have to worry about leaving a scar or anything. No one's going to notice one more on my arm after all." He smiled. It was true, he'd been smart enough to offer the arm with the most faded scars on it already.
"Don't worry. We're all quite safe, wherever we are." Guyy said soothingly in Kaori's ear as he cradled her gently, gazing down at his family. Aldric stirred just a little. She was unsure about going back? He gazed up at the sky for a moment thoughtfully. "We can stay here for a while, but we'll need to get you and Aldric back to the safety of the house before the sun starts to set. Last thing I want is either of you catching a chill while you're both still weaker than you should be." He nodded in final decision. And if that meant he had to carry her home, then that is what he would do. He would also withhold his own blood for now, still a bit wary about exposing her to his potential toxicity. If she was healthier he would have shared, but he didn't want her wasting what energy she had cleaning the blood he gave her.
He turned his attention back down to the pair in his embrace with a smile, tucking the blanket around them gently. The little child squirmed just a little, though he continued to sleep soundly. It wouldn't be too long before he woke and began asking for a meal too. "How about we wait here until we know he's feeding okay and you're feeling stronger? That will give those two a little time to recover as well." He nodded to Jack and Raven as he made the suggestion. "If anything goes wrong I can always have Ilia run back to the house and get Farclimber to teleport us quickly."
As he spoke there was a little movement just outside the gazebo. Gaia, Ilia and Cloudchaser were returning from the waterfall. Ilia spotted Kaori awake and ran right over, almost tripping over herself as she called out to her in excitement and climbed up on the bed. She crawled over towards her and knelt beside her with a bright smile on her face. "Mama!" She squeaked in delight as she wriggled her way between one of Guyy's legs and Kaori's side to cuddle her gently. "Cloudchaser and Grandma taught me some blessings." She smiled proudly.
Cloudchaser took up his position, crouching at the foot of the bed and out of the way. He looked as unconcerned and as slow as ever, though anyone who knew him would be aware he was paying keen attention to everything despite his heavy eyelids and drooping ears. He nodded a greeting to Raven and Jack as he passed by, smiling a little at the little android girl as she rushed over to embrace her mother. It was charming. One day perhaps he would have the pleasure of a little one greeting him as enthusiastically. Other than his cousins.
"You're awake then. I am glad to see you, daughter. I hope you like the gift." Gaia smiled serenely to Kaori as she stepped onto the wooden boards of the gazebo. "My goodness, any more people on that bed and I am sure it will simply drop off the ceiling." She giggled. She glanced around and spotted Yaone. With a flick of her wrist she produced a small brown mouse and released it on the bed. Her reward for being so helpful. Either she would devour it or it would escape. That was, after all, nature's way.
It was then that she spotted Raven with the towel pressed firmly to his wrist, stemming the blood from his small wound. She extended a hand as she realised what had transpired while she had stepped away. She gave the blond a warm and grateful smile. "Give me your hand, child." She instructed. A light touch would seal the wound neatly for him. Normally she wouldn't assist so directly or obviously, but this once she was not altering nature, just giving it a little boost of speed.

Yaone nodded, looking back to Kaori. Calm. That was acceptance if the snake had ever felt it. And as a rustle sounded Yaone's fine fang sunk into Jack's wrist, not deeply, but enough to puncture the artery the same way she had done with Raven. By the time the little robot appeared the deed was done and Yaone slithered out of the way of the scrambling child but kept close by.
The tigress normally would have hated being so weak. Would have set up Yaone and her protective barrier to keep others out and away from her while she recovered.. but here, surrounded by friendly faces... she realized it didn't matter where they were, anywhere was home as long as they were with her. Guyy had everything under control, she didn't have to worry one bit and that in itself, letting someone else take control and being able to trust them with it.. it was new and welcomed. It earned a soft sigh of relief.
Her sapphires lingered on Yaone, having watched her strike Jack's wrist nearly without warning at all and as Ilia rushed to her side, seeing her awake, Kaori smiled softly and even welcomed the enthusiasm, in truth it was a bit much to handle in her current state, but nevertheless, she loved it and the child it came from.
As for Jack and his intentions, her soft smile was turned upon him, her cheeks coloured ever so slightly pink, mostly for being caught out like she was and not used to the fact that they were so ready and willing to help her like this. Accepting while unconscious was one thing, especially when it was Raven.. maybe because she was just so used to him it made it easier. But taking from a willing donor? Nevermind that but Raven's boyfriend? Let's just say, in the first place, willing donor's weren't that often found and even less did she expect the boys to have done what they did, were doing. It was the greatest gift she could ever receive.
And Guyy was right to withhold his blood from her.. it would take energy to neutralize the toxins before she could use the blood herself.
-Your mother iss ssstill weak young one... rest quietly. Although... she feels... happy to have you with her. Also,- she turned to Guyy, -she feels relieved and loves you, greatly.- Ah the great interpreter was also rewarded, for she could feel the happiness growing in her mistress as she spoke for her and in turn, Yaone felt a little pride in herself for being able to not only be an instrument of destruction but also one for making the lives of others easier.
It was the goddess next that she spoke to.. she could only deal with so many emotions at a time. -Mother Gaia... my mistress is deeply appreciative for such a gift. Honoured by your visit... and also expectant... as though maybe you require a task of her to be done?-
The snake caught the sight of the mouse released on the sheets and she took off after it, chasing her toy over the edge and across the floor of the gazebo to a quiet corner where she happily caught the thing. She wondered why Myurr was so shy, maybe it was simply because Guyy hadn't released him.
Meanwhile Raven stayed fairly quiet for several moments, watching the exchange between all parties while tending to his wrist, he peeked under the cloth only to see it hadn't quite stopped just yet and then there was a hand that caught his attention, attached to the goddess. He was only going to reapply pressure when she demanded that he giver her his hand.
The smile upon her lips eased him as he lifted his arm to her inspection. A single touch had his skin knit together before his eyes, he blinked hardly believing what he was seeing and then it was done.
"... Thank-you.." he smiled appreciatively up at her. He wasn't so sure what else to say.

Jack winced just a tiny bit as the fang sank into him suddenly and sharply. He was glad she had done it that way. If she had given him warning then he would have been apprehensive as he anticipated the coming wound. This way it was all over in a flash. Like a vaccine. He watched the ruby blood pool in the small puncture for a moment, staining the skin. It took only a moment for the droplet to turn into a trickle. Arteries bled fast.
He squeaked and let go of Raven in order to shuffle over to the tigress and offer her the meal. He chided himself for almost wasting some. He couldn't simply let it drip to the bed when she needed it. It would have been different if he'd had an infinite amount to spare, but the little redhead did not. So he'd give her all he could instead.
"Here. I hope I'm not much different to everyone else. I've not really compared tastes." He smiled up at Kaori. It seemed every day they were something new to one another. She was his best friend's lover, his boyfriend's guardian, his own friend. He didn't even think twice about sharing even his own blood with her. As far as he was concerned they practically did already. "Maybe I'm spicy." He joked.
Ilia took the gentle words from the snake and nodded energetically. She would be quiet and behave herself. She couldn't help herself from giving her mother one last hug before she settled down next to her however. She clung to Guyy's knee instead, sandwiched happily between her parents. She glowed with delight to hear that her mother was happy to see her too.
"Mm. Thank you Yaone." The snakeman murmured over Kaori's shoulder, watching as Ilia settled down and Jack offered up his blood. Inwardly and silently he shuddered just a little. He had no problem with Kaori drinking blood, nor did he have an issues at all with seeing blood in general. There was just something far too familiar about seeing blood against those old scars. But no matter, the blood would be cleaned up in a moment by his beloved and Jack was not harmed at all, really. He reached out and gave the snake a grateful rub. She was doing an excellent job voicing Kaori's intentions and feelings and sparing her the energy required to talk.
"I love you too." He whispered in the tigress' ear, his lips just brushing against her as he spoke. He rested his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes for a moment, the content expression on his face now that she was awake not faltering even for a moment. Everything would be all right now.
Myurr was warm and content on the skin of the youngster, tucked under the pleasing blanket. He half listened to the world outside while he basked in the combined glow of his relaxed state and his master's joy. He didn't once forget his current duty however, despite the urge to flee after the mouse he sensed scampering nearby. How he'd have enjoyed wrestling for such a tasty treat with the female! Even if she was likely to win.
"A task? Oh my." The goddess laughed musically. "No, for once I truly am here on a social visit. I wished to see the child. I have a lot of interest invested in that little one. The only task you have, daughter, is to take care of yourself and your new family." Gaia smiled warmly, pleased the gift was appreciated.
She sealed Raven's wound, though she didn't really reply to his small gratitude. He was surprisingly cute. It was almost as if he was starstruck by her. She felt her ego inflate just a little, though it was very healthy already. It was good to see those who were humbled by her. She remembered when entire nations worshipped her like the Chimera. The goddess sighed wistfully for a moment and she reached out to ruffle the blond's curls as though he was little more than a boy. To her, he was, and always would be.
There she stood, patiently awaiting Jack's arm to do the same and with a laugh watching Yaone chase after the little rodent. She materialised another and glanced around. Someone was missing. It took her a moment to locate the shadow snake, tightly sealing the newborn's cord. Ah yes. he was, after all, born of a mammalian mother. She tsked to herself and reached forward to brush her fingers lightly over the baby's skin, doing to him what she had done for Raven. She merely sped up the healing process allowing Myurr to slither free. "There. That's much more convenient." She said mostly to herself, releasing the second mouse and watching the shadow chase it across the floorboards with glee.

Taking Jack's hand gently with hers she gingerly washed away what was on the surface with her tongue before settling in to drink, closing her eyes, if anything his blood seemed slightly heated but was still sweet to her palate. After a few moments, she released him as she approached his comfortable limit.
"Thank-you Jack... " she murmured softly her gaze was caste aside to her cradled boy but her vision was somewhere in the middle distance, her fingers upon her lips removed the evidence of her most recent meals from them. The goddess' voice interrupted her thoughts and she nodded. Kaori always tried to do her best and this would be no different. Her hand came into view to rest on Aldric's head for a brief moment, guessing that she was doing what Kaori could not at the moment. Myurr slipped free, released of his duty to chase after a second mouse Gaia let escape.
Raven was still quiet for the time being his hair having been ruffled by the goddess let on how she felt about him. His soft smile in amusement was almost hidden, he turned an eye on Jack and watched for a moment before his eyes followed after Guyy's shadow snake before returning once again. He didn't want to disturb them but continued to wait, sitting on the foot of the bed still.

Jack watched her pink tongue lap out to clean his arm. That was quite an unusual sensation. One that actually brought just a little colour to his cheeks for a moment before she latched her lips around the small wound and began to drink. He waited patiently and still, fascinated. He'd never been quite in this situation before.
After a few moments he realised he was starting to feel a little light headed. Guyy kept an eye on him and smiled as Kaori released him just before he would have gotten dizzy. The little redhead nodded and grinned at Kaori. "No problem." he replied before shuffling back over to settle down beside Raven again. The goddess took up his wrist and with a light touch the wound was sealed again. "Thanks." he nodded, resting his head against Raven's shoulder comfortably.
Guyy reached around Kaori as he cradled her in order to trail a long and slender along his son's arm. He tucked the finger into his palm, studying the baby's own fingers with a smile. They were long as well. "He's going to be tall." He grinned, recognising some of his own unique muscular structure hidden beneath the layer of baby fat. The tiny fingers instinctively gripped his own and held tight.
The snaked grinned widely, caught in his son's hold even as the child slept. He pressed a light kiss to Kaori's cheek. He was going to be tall, healthy and strong. She'd given him the most wonderful gift he could imagine.
Gaia smiled knowingly to herself and ducked her head a little. She had her own children to take care of, in a manner of speaking. She turned her head and regarded each person present for a moment. With a smile she lowered her head to plant a kiss on each forehead. First Raven and Jack received the feather light kisses though she paused when she came to Guyy and grinned. "Remember what I told you." She reminded him before giving him a kiss that had him wrinkling up his nose but smiling. "I know, Mother, I know. I'll think about it. Thanks for visiting." He replied to her softly. "It was good to see you again after so long." "I'll still be around, you know that." She replied. He nodded. He could always call for her if he needed to speak to her again.
A kiss on Ilia's forehead from the goddess had the little bot giggling. She got a small hug as well. "It was good to meet you, little one. Now that you're among those I can touch." She smiled. "You'll come see me again, right Grandma?" Ilia asked hopefully. "Of course! I am always around, don't worry. Take care of your baby brother and your parents for me." She smiled. Ilia giggled and nodded. Finally there was a kiss each for mother and son. The baby stirred just a little under her lips, making sleepy baby noises. He'd wake soon, she knew. She murmured into Kaori's ear. "And take care of yourself. Let my son pamper you a little. You know he'll just drive you nuts if you don't." She laughed and winked conspiratorially. She looked down at the babe. "I would say from the looks of this little one, the pair of you were a far better match than I could ever have hoped."
The goddess stood and straightened herself out. She silently bid them all good day with a slow nod of her head before reaching out to her shaman. Cloudchaser stood and with a gentleness it seemed impossible from such a beast, took her hand. "Walk with me child, to the pool. You and I must speak also." She smiled to the Chimera. His ears pricked up. "Adulthood is almost upon you now." She began as they walked away.
