The brown dog didn't tower of the wolf dog but he out weighted the other. Instead of backing down he ignored the other and went to snap at the stallions hooves.

"Yeah I don't know about that. Maybe I can come up with some extra work. Or maybe we can get away from the Fort for a day." Colonel glanced out at the dogs but left it for now.

Konnoha pinned her ears and back to the fence. She snorted, not being able to kick the dog, she could do little more than stand there.

The dog yelped and skittered backwards. His friends rapidly joined him and formed a loose circle around the horses, a few of them scattered at the men's calls. But the original dog got braver and tried to clamp his jaws on the stallions hooves.

Konoha bit at one of the dogs nearist her, sending it yelping. She side stepped, more like limped so that she was as close to Path and away from most of the dogs. "What do they want?" Her voice was shakey and she shivered slightly.

Colonel turned to Gwen, "I have no idea when they are coming, but at the earilest it won't be till late fall." He smiled at her but kept his eyes from wandering away to anywhere other than her face. "You have something special you want to do?" The barking had gotten louder but Colonel payed little attention to it.

Konoha stumbled over and bit at another before going back to his side. The splint was doing its job but the pain had started to flare back up.

The dogs retreated only after one lunged a final time and aimed at the stallions haunchs, jumping into the air with teeth barred.

"Dancing, now that's a new thing around here. I'm sure we can dig something up." Colonel scratched his chin thinking. Outside the sun was setting fast and turning the sky red, pink and even purple. "You eat yet?" The men more than likely were setting down to dinner or had already eaten.

The brown dog held on to the stallions haunches.

Konoha stumbled backwards before walking forward and biteing at the dog managed to get ahold of it's back. The creature squealed and dropped to the ground, leaving a bloody trail. She leveled her ears and neighed at the dog, bringing her head down and gaurding Path like a mare would her foal. The dog stayed for a while before running off. "Don't move." She returned to his side and nuzzled him before looking at the wound.

Colonel started to reply then stood up as the stallion screamed, "What the heck?" Seeing the dog attack he started toward the door, but the dog ran from the corall before her could even reach the door. "As I was saying we can get some dinner together, if you want. I just have to go see what damage has been done to that stallion." He held the door open for Gwen, "Comin'"

"Who ever claims it will have to keep him away from the horses from now on. I can't have the dogs attacking them." Colonel ran a hand through his hair and then placed his hat back on his head. He watched Kavik chase after the brown dog. He reached the gate and opened it swinging it closed behind Gwen. "You wan't to doctor the stallion or hold back the mare?"

Konoha stood by Path's side and, trembling slightly herself, started to clean the bite. She pinned her ears and warned the humans away, she let her instincts take over and would not easily let the humans approach Path.

The brown dog, nothing more than a three year old puppy, struggled against Kavik. He bit and growled trying to escape.

The dog yelped and whimpered. He tried to say, ok ok I won't but it came out to be nothing more than a mumbeling sentences.

"Alright, I'll keep the mare back." Colonel made his way to seperate the horses. He sweet talked to the horses. "I hope he does, if that dog ever attacks a horse again he'll be killed."

Konoha ignored Colonel seeing as he made little movment toward Path. She flattened her ears and neighed a warning to the woman. She tried to bite Colonel and then swung her head and reached to bite at Gwen, all the time keeping them away from the injury.

Colonel moved quickly when the mare's attention was on Gwen, he grabbed the halter and pulled the mare away. He was strong enough to keep the mare's head down and reletively in the same place. The task was made easier by the fact that the mare was injured.

Konoha neighed and stumbled backwards. She couldn't rear or side step or do anything to get away and she could no longer reach Path.

Eclipse had said, "Well, thank you Path, and once we do get out of here, I'd love to join your herd. My name is Eclipse, by the way. Brook and Emma don't seem to share my want to get out of here; they just want to stay with the herd. I saw my mother taken by the men, and so I know they are just bad news."

She dozed off a little while after that, only to be awoken again by Path's roaring and the commotion with the dogs. She had tried to fight them off, but they were focused on Path and Kohona, and they were seperated by a fence, so there was little she could do.
