Marienara tell PJ he is welcome to come over any time since John will be living with her now.
Chase asks marienara what happened since she has been ignoring him.
Mari says she doesn't know what will happen but that she thinks he was stupid and irrational with the whole Jaye thing and that he should know better. If any of them come to harm because of his fiasco in the street she will hold him personally accountable and he will have to pay for it. she does not make idle threats. He leaves, feeling insulted.
Thor tells Dylan Merywyn is not someone to seek a relationship with.
Mari tells Li she finds no fault in him as she would have acted the same way, tells them all that her freehold is very safe, and invites them all to stay if they want.

Thor takes John to his rooms, they are really nice and big, finds one for Dylan not far away that is mostly the same.

Dylan tells Thor that his mother died and he never knew his father.
Mae comes over, John answers the door.
Thor tells Dylan that John is an orphan now and that Marienara is trying to make arrangement to be his legal guardian and that she would probably extend the same offer to Dylan.

Next day Thor meets Veronica outside Gaia pizza place.
Dylan goes to his house to get some things, sees a strange fae approaching and hides.

Thor buys Veronica an anchovie pizza and they eat.
The fae finds Dylan and holds a knife to his throat.
Dylan manages to get away, but the man throws his knife and hits him in the leg.
He is hit by 5 lazer guns as Dylan runs to Marienara's, followed by one of the knockers who shot the man.
The knocker goes and gets a sluagh healer who treats Dylan. She tells him that he is always being watched and only has to ask for help to receive it.

Veronica tells Thor a story. He takes her to the freehold and asks Dylan to keep an eye on her while he goes and looks for Marienara.
Dylan says fine and tells Veronica his name.
She asks what happened to his leg.
He tells her he got a knife thrown at it but it's a long story.

Kayla/Remus some to Marienara's house, see Dylan, ask what happened.
John comes down stairs, sees Dylan, asks what happened.
Dylan tells them, his leg starts bleeding. (he went up to his room and back on the last page.) John leaves to get help and runs into the Sluagh healer.

The healer scolds Dylan for moving around and retreats his wound. She tells him that people have been sent to get the rest of the stuff from his house.
Dylan asks John if he would go get his guitar.
