As you perform the rite, a brilliant light engulfs you both, surrounding you in the warm embrace of platonic love and fellowship. You feel the spark of recognition burn stronger, as the ember of life once again burns within the woman's frame. As the light recedes, you find yourself gazing deep within the eyes of the once lost woman; her eyes gaze back with equal parts of compassion and joy.
"Thank you my Brother, for the gift you have imparted me. Although unworthy of such a treasure, I cannot feel anything more than gratitude for your gift. My husband is my truest of loves, and without him, the afterlife would have been no heaven." Looking to the sleeping gnome, a smile crosses her face. "It is good to see him, even in this state. I shudder to think what he might have done without me by his side, even after your timely intervention within this place." A look of concern crosses her face, as she continues. "But what happened to that evil woman who did this to us, Regina, the Door Warden and Chief Cook of this evil place? Her husband was lost in what could only be blind love, but she was fully aware of her acts. She took our posessions; none of which I care much about, but the Staff... the Staff of our Order belongs with you. As you have given me the gift of life, so shall I give you the same. You must find the Angelic Staff and use it to promote the tenants of our Order. With my blessing alone will it's powers pass to another; useless to those who stole it, but yours to command if you manage to reacquire it. Search Regina's quarters; I imagine once she learned what it was, she would have kept it for herself even though she could not use it."

Perrian nodded. "Your welcome, Sister. I am glad I could help you. And I rest your concern about Regina and her husband, both of them we needed to unfortunately kill on our way in because of both of them were attacking us. They are now in the afterlife. I will search for your staff in here, but I am not sure where I will find it. Do you think Regina hide it in the kitchen or in another room?" He said to the woman.

The woman sits up and begins to stretch. "My guess is that she keeps it in her quarters, across the way. It is the door with the revolting sign hanging from it." She grimaces at the thought. "As soon as we are able, me and my husband will depart this place forever. Is their aught else I can do for you before we part ways?"

"I can't think of anything, unless one of my friends can, except just for you two to live a good life together. We'll hopefully meet again." Perrian said and smiled. "Thank you for your help with telling us where we can find the Angelic Staff. I will look for it and keep it safe."

*Djanni comes back from her hidden corner of the room, mopping at her mouth with a handkerchief. She delicately takes a mouthful of water from her canteen and spits it out in the nearest potted plant/sink/trash receptacle she can find.*
"I hope all is well, Master Perrian?"

Touched as the good paladin is by Perrian's act of ultimate kindness, Vincent can't help but think back to that moment so many years ago. If only he had been there...he could have saved her... Shaking off the sadness of his former life, he steels himself and stands once more. "Master Perrian, I give my word that you will have that staff. It may one day be needed to counter my own, more sinister burden." Vincent then moves to the obvious living quarters of Regina and Rufus and tests the door to see if it's open. Unlocked or not, he kicks the door in out of spite for the two devilish creatures that tried to eat him and his friends. "Bloody creatures..." he mumbles.

*Djanni puts a gentle hand on Vincent's shoulder*
"Dear friend...as one who bears a dark burden of her own, I beg you, let this latest incident pass. We have avenged the dead and saved the living. Regina and Rufus can be no more punished than they already have been; your anger is wasted and only creates further darkness for you to drown in. Save your bile for more...deserving targets."

Perrian nodded towards Djanni and Vincent. "Everything is fine. Thank you for offering to help me find the staff. "Live a good life Sister and Brother." He said to the couple and followed after Vincent and Djanni.

Fury bows his head in sorrow, knowing that the others are beyond the help of even the miraculous seeming powers of Perrian and the Angelic Choir. Moving into the kitchen area, he quickly begins gather materials for a funeral pyre, the only solace he can offer those lost to the ravages of the evil inherent within this place. Carefully staging the materials outside, he consigns the bodies to a fate preferable than the one previously awaiting them. "May your spirits find the reward you deserve in the afterlife," he whispers at the macabre spectacle of the burning bodies. "Rest in peace." Bowing in respect once more, Fury heads back into the building, joining the others within the private chambers of Rufus and Regina.

Vincent noticably flinches at Djanni's gentle touch, but her message is not lost on the big man. Vincent's shoulders sag under the wait of guilt and sadness as he weakly nods. Is it winning? he found himself wondering with more than a little worry. A single, angry tear begins to fall down his cheek-which he stubbornly wipes away. "You're right..." Vincent quietly admits, "Let's go. We should recover the staff and be on our way to Rudolf..." Vincent comments as he steps half-heartedly through the threshold and into Regina and Rufus' quarters.

Perrian walked up to Vincent. "Are you ok Vincent?" He asked, worried about his friend. "Vincent, when we get out of here I will buy you another elixer. I promise you that. It's the least I could do for your help and for you being a friend to me." Perrian walked by Vincent's side into Regina and Rufus's quarters.

(If nobody minds, I will wait for Gerbo's return before posting the next room, as it involves the potential for combat.)
