LOL. I've noticed shops are starting to come back, as people realize they can't make as much on auctions anymore. Your best bet is to go that route. I don't know if you like traditional media much, but there are some neat artists in my shop, and pretty much all of them have open wait lists. (link is the image in my sig if you care). xd
That's really awesome though, I remember back when my roommate left Gaia and gave me a whole big bunch of October letters and other stuff. It was awesome. That's also how I got my bunnies and chickies...from a friend who left. ^^

yeah I've noticed that too. all the shops were gone it seemed and the auctions were going really well. I was so hard to get art crying it's to bad i didn't do my auction then oh well. now it's time for me to go hunting for artists ninja

I do not mind auctions so much...(Except I hardly ever win them xd ) However I do feel bad when a new talented artist makes a shop only to have it outshadowed by the numerous auctions of more popular artists all going on at once.

Lee Fiora Solus I do not mind auctions so much...(Except I hardly ever win them xd ) However I do feel bad when a new talented artist makes a shop only to have it outshadowed by the numerous auctions of more popular artists all going on at once.
I wasn't trying to steal the whole running sprite idea XP ^^ I asked Feiku for permission first, too. I was just trying to proof my point, that well-known artists automatically get more for their art.

I've seen some auctions that are going pretty high, but maybe we have different definitions of high. XD That's why I prefer shops, I can actually afford them. But it's so hard to find good open artists. @_@
Poor Lili. gonk *comforts* Maybe people will come to love writing eventually?

yeah same here. I've only won one auction and that was only becuase i was the only one who made a bid. She was pretty good too. my auctions haven't gone very high of course I've only had one and think it ended up a total of 14k. chibi hb was 10k and non chibi was 4k. well we all know what people liked better xd

I love writing almost more than art. It should be appreciated better.
Now, for my idea, if we all from the OGAWG, tell everyone how amazing your art (I call writing art) is, they will think you're this famous artist, and you'll get more ^^ So they discover writing rulez, and the other writers will get more too. Really, if people like Raesha or Zephyree say you rock, the whole R&C will think so too.
Still, I think artists should draw and write because they like it, not for a bunch of pixelated gold. heart Though it always does makes me feel more popular xd

She likes. heart I still am pending an art trade with Korryn, Hara won my one hour art {writing} auction, & I might get commissioned by Pf & Kyou soon. So it's not that bad, but it's still difficult. confused I don't Rae or most of the other members in here have read my writing. sweatdrop A lot of Gaians don't consider it art.

My apologies for using you guys for modding things, but does anyone recognize this picture and know who the artist is?  I know it's yuzi's commission, but she isn't around. AoD is in the name of it, which is familiar, and yet I'm blanking, and I feel dumb.
