they wouldn't exactly be inside jokes anymore if i said would they? but generally they are based on drummer stupidity(no offense to drummers but we have some really dense ones) or trumpet players doing hw during class/texting,

nah, it's kinda old and bd would have a fit i do deck it out w/ ribbon for christmas sometimes though, and i have 2 teeth marks in my mouth piece from when i had a weird overbite

dents none, the silvery stuff is wearing off the keys from use tho, and there was a crack near one of the keys that spit used to come out of when i played hard

my bd told me that i was getting over my wimpy playing and was"playing like a big girl"

trumpets!!!!!! i don't really like the ones in our band and they all play really loud and since i sit in front of them it's even worse not to mention how cocky most of the ones in our band are......

there really isn't any stereotype in our school, we have apercussionist who is a also a cellist, the stupid farm boy drummer type, the perfect flutist who is also lead in musicals and everything else, the families, the loud mouths.......

bass clar. depends on how soon i have to play, if i have to play right away it takes lnger so i can adjust the height and stuff

17. (The trumpet section was told that it is a compliment to be told to play softer) To be told that I was playing too loud

19. If we are on a hard surface then we are told to tap are toes inside our shoes. We have a choice though…
20. The trombone section. They are afraid to put air into their instrument. You never know that they’re playing until the BD mentions something to them after the band is cut off. They were even moved to the front row for a while! While they were in the front row, the flutes could be heard over them!
21. I have private lessons every Thursday with Mr. P. (His name is French I think. It is hard to pronounce and spell.)
22. This quiz is interesting.
23. One person in the section, he plays too loud in piano. It sounds like he is playing mezzo forte during the time we are supposed to play piano.
24. I can be a geek. I am in band…
25. A couple seconds. I just have to put in the mouth piece then twist it. It is good to play the trumpet when the BD lets you out late after the bell rings. It doesn’t take long to put up your instrument.
26. I try to practice every day. Everyday a brass player doesn’t practice, it takes them two days to get back where they were when they stopped practicing.

32. Two times. One time my chair fell off the riser with me sitting in it. The next day, a trombonist fell off a higher riser with him sitting in it. He got hurt because his big-ish trombone.

Well, the one we had for most of the season was ... the worst director ever. As in we called him "Um-Bridges" and had a secret student organization devoted to his downfall. He quit ... now we have a cool guy.

2nd
4. What classification does your BD rank under?
The last one was harsh when we were playing, nice in the halls. It balanced out. We sounded amazing.
5.How many in your section?
Not many. There were 2 who played 1st, I played 2nd and that was it. Sometimes the music assistant would come play second with me, but not often. There was 1 bari and like 4 tenors?
6. What brand Instrument?
Yamaha
7. Hardest song ever played?
Rhapsody in Blue was sorta difficult. Probably the Olympic Centennial by John Williams. That thing was a b***h.
8.Middle or high school?
Neither... I graduated a few years back.
9. Band geek family?
No. My family hated going to my concerts. I don't remember them coming to the majority of them.
10.Band love?
There wasn't one.
11. Inside jokes of band??
My director use to threaten to tie my legs to the chair legs so I'd "keep my damn feet on the floor!" Every time the music assistant would come and play with me, he'd sit cross legged too. It was the running joke for years.
12.If you could, what color would your insrtument be?
Black
13. Are you involved in anything outside of band with your instrument?
Nooooope.

There aren't any. I'm so careful with my instruments. The worst I did, was break a mouth piece when I dropped it on the ceramic floor.

Probably not. I'm huffing and puffing, and it's just awkward.
17. Best compliment for your playing?
My last director told me that she felt every emotion in me coming out of my instrument. Said she'd stop harassing me about technique if I kept playing like that.
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
Ummmm... I dunno.
19.Tap your foot?
All the time... Except when I'm on stage, because then the stand shakes and music falls.
20.Least liked section?
Trumpets... Just because they sat right behind me, and my ears would ring constantly after band practice. And flutes, because half the time they're never in tune, and if it weren't for the trumpets blaring my in my ears, my ear drums would bleed from the flutes.

Well... In the alto section, there was really only me and this one another guy, and we got along really well. So I didn't hate him at all.

I just love band a lot, and that makes me a geek.
25. How long does it take you to set up your instrument?
Not long. Like, two minutes. It's the reed that takes like 3 of sitting in my mouth. For some reason, I'm always perfectly in tune. It's hilarious.

With clarinet I had to practice for hours and hours, just to get over the break. Saxophone is as natural as breathing to me. It doesn't take any effort. I was the second best in the school.

I had friends in band. Pretty much all of my friends from school are musicians.

Nah

White shirt, black pants, black vest and bow tie. There were flowers or vines or something on the vest and tie, in purple, pink, green, blue or red.

7. Hardest song: up to date Mira, Mira(working on it)

9. Band family: not really, brother 1 year in orch, sister in choir

11. Inside jokes: That was a good one!, my nickname combat boots, hacky sack incident where i kicked some guys tooth out accidentaly, too long a story

15. Dents, stories: on my marching horn, there is a nasty dent on the underside because my friend used it last year and at a game, it fell off the bleacher and hit the on under it
16. Do you look good while playing: I think so, except when playing low pedal tones, then my cheeks puff out
