 Nereus shook his head fiercely, wanting so much to stand up to prove that he was alright. It was so embarrassing, just falling like that- he shouldn't have been that clueless, something should have reminded him, he was running down a tree, oh, curse it-
Ow.
Laying himself back gingerly, he frowned, biting down his call.
She was right.

Ona came closer and checked him again
"for some wierd reason i remember a herb that would help you." Ona tld him before dashing off for a second to find it. few minutes later she came back with a mouth full of leaves. she quickly walked over and placed the leaves where it was bleeding
"We gotta go find you some help.. " She said quietly
"you can't walk can you? if you can't i'll carry you around, i'm big enough now to be able too.'

After a bit of backtracking she found the stream, thinking she could bring back water to wash Nereus' wounds. She stared around and became utterly lost in thought, How could I even possibly bring in back?? She picked up what looked like a large banana leaf and scooped up some water.
Now... why did I need this?? Oh! Right! She flew off, splashing bits of water as she went in her frenzy. She arrived at where she thought they would be to find it empty. "Uh oh..."
She darted off again...

Through squinted eyes, Ona's slender frame brought relief flooding back into his mind. If she had gotten lost, if she had gotten trapped somewhere... Nereus leaned back, making sure to avoid his shoulder making contact with the ground. As Ona placed the leaves below his wound he felt the coolness seeping into his blood, somehow, and most of the pain ebbed away.
He smiled at her.
"Thank you, Ona, but my pride wouldn't let you carry me," he laughed.
"It actually feels much better now. What's the name of this herb?" he wondered aloud, wanting to crane his head back to see it but decided against it. He furrowed his brows.
"And where did Kamea go? She couldn't have gotten lost, could she?" his voice rose in panic, he was in no condition to go look for her.
Oh, no. This wasn't good at all. He bit back a protest, knowing there was nothing he could do.

"I really don't remember the name off it right now but it has a strong scent that you can manage to sniff it out though the thick scent of the pine." She told him before remembering that Kamea still hadn't return yet. She quickly climbed up a tree and began to yell out to Kamea
“KAMEA! KAMEA!”

Nereus breathed a small sigh of relief. Ona knew what to do. He just hoped she would be able to reach Kamea.
Above, the pines trembled in a passing breeze, as if they, too, were trying to find his dear friend.

Kamea heard her name being called and stopped, "Oh? Who's calling me?" She lost track of what she was looking for and flew towards the sound, "I'm here!!"
She held her leaf well enough but water was still splashing out of the sides. She was almost nearing the source of the voice who kept calling her name.

“KAMEA! KAMEA!” Ona cried out til her throat hurt. After a few minutes of silence she climbed down the tree and walked towards Nereus.
“I think I might have to go look for her..”

Nereus bit his lip. The pain was still evident in his shoulder and he still couldn't see her.
"Maybe we should wait for a bit. If the place from where she heard us changes she might get confused. Just wait for a bit, 'kay?" he sighed, looking around worriedly for the familiar pink frame.
Lying back down, he opened his mouth and roared in the same way he had learned from Loki, and he was sure it carried until almost the edges of the forest. Perhaps that would help.

Kamea arrived to look down and find Ona and Nereus. She was confused, wondering who had called her name so much, then landed beside them both with her leaf, quite proud of herself. Kamea hadn't even realized her leaf was nearly depleted of the water she had gotten.
"You should use the water really quickly and get on our way. I heard some strange voice calling my name from near here and a very dangerous sounding roar." Her wings were fluttering anxiously and she kept darting her eyes back and forth around her in a strange manner. Her frame looked light and ready to take off again at a moment's notice.

"dont worry Auntie that was us calling out for you. We thought we lost you." She told Kamea with a smile before facing Nereus
"Wow that was an amazing roar!"

Rolling over, Nereus winced at another attack, this time subdued, but only for the herbs lining his wound. Bursts of color blinded his vision, orange, yellow, a bright crimson-
Was he hallucinating?
Easing himself onto his good shoulder, he sent a stiff smile at Kamea, beginning to lap at the water, finding that it sent shivers up his spine, bolts of energy returning in gusts.
At Kamea's uneasiness, he laughed, motioning for her to come down.
"Ona was right. That was us. We were worried for you, and-" he paused, feeling a familiar sensation in his shoulder.
"Ack."
Sending the two a sheepish smile, he quieted down until Ona piped up. Grinning at her, he winked a playful wink, trying to get their minds off his disability for the moment.
"A friend... no, not a friend. Someone I met taught me how to do it. I learned after I was impressed by him, rather."

“I would be great to learn to roar like that but for now you need to just lay there so the herbs could help you. I’ll bring more..” She began to say when she jumped back into the bushes. A few minutes later she returned with the little dark green leaves in her mouth and a few giant leaves on her back. She swiftly removed the old ones and placed the new ones.
“There and these big one is so it doesn’t get infected.” She said circling the giant leaves around the wound.

Kamea was taken aback by the discovery that the noises she heard were her "friends" here. She raised an eyebrow a them, slightly suspicious once again. "Are you sure? You two aren't dangerous are you?" She blinked trying to wrap her mind around everything. She wasn't use to having people around her for too long, that she could remember anyways.
Kamea looked intently at the herb leaves Ona was giving to Nereus. "Curious..."
