Some one once said to me 'an artists isn't inspired, they inspire' which rung true to me. Every time I see art that puts a twinkle in my eye an artists is born and every time some one says they don't believe in art a faerie dies. or something. I'm getting art confused with peter pan again.
Seriously tho, every one who puts effort into creating art is errr an artist? So effort = art? Good art is a Whoooole different subjective story and it doesn't matter for squatchpaste if you are a hobbiest, professional, taught, self taught, influenced or completely unaware of what the rest of the world is doing.
If your drawings suck and no one enjoys them then your are just a s**t for brains artist. If you draw figures that capture modern living and bring unity to millions then you rock. If you get paid for making banner ads then WHY THE HELL NOT? If you enjoy drawing in anyway what so ever then FTW!! If some one else thinks your picture looks cool then what more do you want? Art is broad. Good art (considering how subjective everything is) is very hard to pin down.
