After giving herself a nice, long licking, she trotted into the center of camp and took in the sights. Frost still covered much of the camp, but it was bearable. She was happy that Riverclan had not been suffering from a shortage of prey this leafbare. She had heard stories of terrible winters where the river was completely frozen over; it sounded so terrible! Looking up to the sky, she placed her front paws under her chest and simply rested her eyes, although she did not fall asleep.

[[woot!! bridgeh has reh-turned to RiverClan! All shall rejoice!]]
Beesting drew his rough pink tongue over the thick fur on this haunch, eyelids drooping lazily. He let a lax expression climb over his face as he continued to bathe himself. Not much was going on in camp; the leader was milling about in his den doing something or other, and the rest of the Clan was either tucked away in their respective dens or making idle chatter in the center of the camp. This was with the exception of Dampfoot, who rested just beyond the entrance of the warrior's den, inspecting her surroundings with a forlorn expression. Had he been any other cat, he might have felt a twinge of surprise as a smile twisted her glum features. She almost seemed amused for a few brief moments, but her face soon slid back into its familiar drooping position. He watched her as yet another sigh escaped her lips, the only sound she ever seemed to produce. She always appeared so...depressed. Withdrawn. Struggling with inner pains.
Beesting would have laughed if he was capable. Was it not ironic that he should sense so much of other's emotions while he experienced none of his own? Perhaps being able to read other's thoughts and feelings was a substitute for posessing none he could truly claim. Even so, he did not know the depth of Dampfoot's inner workings as he did most cats; he had never truly had a chance to look deeply into her eyes; a quick glance from a distance, perhaps, but not enough to discern anything. If he had been any normal tom, curiosity would have been brewing in his stomach long ago.

Moonkit looked up from her rest for a moment to see Beesting. With the usual expressionless face on, all seemed to be normal. She sighed. For her, normal meant 'boring', and nothing more. It would be nice if there were other kits in the camp that she could practice her hunting techniques with, but alas, there weren't. She once again closed her eyes, imagining the camp bustling with cats, everyone engaged in a recreational activity of some sort... It seemed to be an impossible want.

Silvertail bounded up behind Moonkit playfully and gave her a rough loving lick on the head. "Come on let's go for a walk." She knew Moonkit wouldn't need anymore encouragement than that to get out of the camp. She cheerfully lead her towards the camp entrance shivering every now and again as chills were sent through her toes from the frost bitten ground. They wouldn't go far because it was cold and a bit dangerous to be out on the marshes, but she knew that with Moonkit getting more and more restless every day it would only be a matter of time before she decided to up and leave on her own. And that would be unimaginable for Silvertail. Her face fell for a splitsecond as she remembered....but she shook her head and cleared her mind of such thoughts before she could see any clear memories. She smiled again but only half the light returned to her eyes.

Moonkit rolled on the ground outside of camp, just happy to be there. "Finally!" She mewed, letting her paws take her over the cold ground. It was only a matter of time until she would be out here half of the time out of each day. She joyfully looked up at Silvertail, eyes gleaming, then stopped when she saw only half of the happinesss she had shown in her eyes before they left camp. "What's wrong?" She asked, sitting down and curling her tail over her paws. Her inquiring mind wouldn't let this moment slip.

Sandpaw, amazingly, was in the apprentices den sleeping. He hadn't been sleeping as deeply as he was now in a while. He dreamed that RiverClan was then the only clan in the forest, and he was leader. It was a wonderful fantasy, and he knew after he woke up that it would never happen. He laughed to himself.

Silvertail looked at Moonkit as she sat down in front of her just outside the camp entrance. "Nothing of course...nothing." She replied with a bright smile. She knew it wasn't very convincing but she changed the subject before Moonkit could get a word in. "Now please do not wander away from me. Stay right by my side. We are just going for a walk because it's boring these days." She purred with her last words and got up, looking back at Moonkit motioning with her tail to follow.
