I managed to get my best friend's head stuck in a sousaphone bell. We just got done marching in the Daffodil Parade and I stuck the bell over his head, and when I tried to pull it off, It wouldn't move.
That B**ch took 7 cheerleaders to pry off.
Yeah. Seven.

It didn't happen to me, but my middle school band director told my grade during a class that once someone found trouble with their sax since nothing was coming out. Turns out they somehow got a pencil stuck in the bow. FAIL.

Well, one time, I was on the bus on my way to my friend's house (She plays clarinet too, and we were practicing for Solo and Ensemble) And I opened my case to see if I have a reed, and I noticed something in the bell of it. I lifted it up, and I got scared, because I found a chicken patty wrapper in it(?)
I kinda new where it came from because my dumb friends in lunch like to put stuff in people's piles of stuff, or binders, or in my case, my clarinet case.
OH AND ANOTHER STORYYYY!
I was playing my friends guitar before I got one, and I was borrowing it for the week. It was an acoustic. And all acoustics have a hole for good tone and stuff. Well, I returned his guitar too him, and the next day, he came up to me with this paper. I was confused, and he read it to me. It was a note to my boyfriend. Like, with all of the 'omg i love you' and such in it. He told me he found it in his guitar with my necklace from him... (Which I have been looking for forever now)

One day in band my friends were passing around my super shiny bracelet. (Which I have no idea why I brought. I'm not one to wear jewelry.)
My friend, the first chair saxophone player, tossed me back the bracelet (he likes sparkly things) and I somehow 'dropped' it. I thought I saw it on the floor, but it was obviously something else. Then I heard a clank in my Bari Sax. So I tilted it and my bracelet fell out. The noise happened to catch a lot of attention. So my band teacher asked me "Is something wrong?" So I got all nervous and shook my head.
I know, it was sorta set up. But I could have sworn I saw it on the floor. My friends said that too.><

Let's see, I don't have any horror stories of my own to share, but I could probably get a few out of my other band geek friends if I asked. What I have found in my bell:
- sheet music that I'd forgotten about and needed for my band test the day before I had to take the test...
- neck strap
- box of reeds
- empty plastic reed sheaths
- reeds
- a Santa hat
Yeah, I found a Santa hat balled up and shoved down the bell of my sax when I got back from the holidays, and I had played through the entire class with it and I was wondering why I sound muffled and really weird, and then I reached in at the end and pulled it out... I was like this, "Why is that - oh... I remember." I'd forgotten that I'd shoved it in the bell after our winter concert, and I hadn't taken it out. My brother was none too happy about that.
One of our tuba players got a penny stuck in the tubing of their tuba, it was kind of amusing because then he was panicking and trying to get it out...

Okay okay okay... I just went and got Leo (my trumpet) all s**c and span for marching season this year, and the guy I brought it to was like, "we'll get it all cleaned up and repaired." So I'm like "Okay!" I came back a week later and when I tell him which one is mine, he gave me a funny look so I''m all like "WHAT?!?!" So he pulls out this baggie with a pink rabbit's foot in it (good luck charms), a shard of glass, and my old pinkie hook(where you put your pinkie while you play.) and he's all like "All of this was in your instrument.)
What still amazes me is HOW THE H3LL DID I PLAY WITH ALL THAT CRAP IN THERE?!?!?

ok so this is completely disgustingggggggg.....
my friend plays sax ans she didnt wash her mouth out before she played and left the reed on so when she decided to change the reed she found.... maggots!!!!!!! and she had been playing with them in her mouth piece!

One of our tuba players once found that someone had thrown a hamburger at his sousaphone bell during a football game. It stuck there.

When I was 15 I forgot I had a bag of pot in my guitar case and somehow my music teacher at the local guitar shop found it and made me smoke it with him. gonk , and it was my girl friends stare

I was practicing and my sister hated it so when i went to get a drink she put a hersheys wrapper in my clarinet bell and then told me it sounded scratchy and that i needed to clean it, then i found it and that night right after she fell asleep got it out to practice right by her bed!
