Frederick's manners kicked in, saving him from simply staring in wonder and amazement at her display. "Thank you very much." he said as he accepted the freshly made ice pack. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to rip your shirt..." He briefly trailed off, trying not to look like he was staring at her. Placing the ice pack on the bump he continued, slightly nervously, "So, um, wow. That's pretty amazing, being able to do that. I bet it comes in very handy." Ahh! NO! That sounds so stupid! Stupid stupid stupid! He was blushing pretty fiercely now, partly in his embarassment over his actions, he was sure he was making himself look like an idiot, and partly because there was an angel standing next to him, talking to him!

Naomi let out a tiny laugh. "Yeah my ice powers do come in handy sometimes , but not often. And don't worry about the shirt...I can always get a new one." Naomi caught Fredrick's eyes looking at her. "So um...are you feeling better?" she said trying to change the subject.

With a nod, Frederick replies, "Yes, thank you again." A soft snort from the horse made Frederick turn his attention back to the job they had been doing. "Sorry fella, we'll get that finished up for you, right Naomi?" He carefully placed the icepack on the ground and returned his stoool back to where it had been sitting before he saw the fox... He killed that line of thought, deciding it would be better to focus on the job at hand. He didn't want Headmaster Gamelas to think that he might not be able to handle the responsibility he was entrusting in him.

Naomi smiled widely at the horse and said "Yeah we're going to fix you right up." She then picked up the hoof and held it firmly this time

Frederick sits down and quickly finishes hammering the shoe back onto the hoof, and repeats the process for another of its shoes. When he was done, he led the horse back into it's stable. He then checked the other horses, one by one. Finding all of their shoes to still be in good condition, he proceeded to lead them back into their stalls, and waited for Headmaster Gamelas' verdict. I hope I didn't screw that up.

((No worries at all. I'm a night owl, sorry if I kept you up later than you intended. Sleep well!))

Cyrus yawned as the horse slowed to a trot before the School. His uncle had given him a small coin bag and payed for the horse to take him here, which had cost the man nearly two weeks wages alone.

In his dark green jacket, Cyrus withdrew his letter of acceptance and reread it. He knew he had to report to a Headmaster and register, then he would begin classes immediately. Checking himself over in a nearby puddle, he glared at the small shadows forming under his eyes and nudged his horse forward. The sun was warm against his shaven head, and he wanted to be on his way soon. If this school didn't have anything interesting to offer him, he'd just use this as a chance to get as far away as possible as soon as possible.

Scanning the outside perimeter, Cyrus finally arrived at the stables. Inside he found a young man and woman working on a horse's shoe. Nudging his own horse forward a bit, he dismounted and started to approach them. He despised meeting new people, but he needed someone to direct him to the headmaster so he could begin his studies here... and if this was indeed a waste of his time, he wanted to find out soon.

Walking up behind the man, he cleared his throat. "Excuse me, I'm looking for the Headmaster. Do you think you could point me in the right direction?" As he spoke, he eyed the nearby nails and wondered if the man would be suspicious if he just "borrowed" some. He'd come without any defenses except his knuckledusters (concealed in his sleeves) and that was making him feel just a bit less secure than he prefered.

((Sorry Lau, I'll be posting as Garreth for this. Feel free to change anything.))

Garreth just finished shoveling a few more of the horse manure out of the stable when he heard the steps of a horse. He then heard a male voice asking for a headmaster. He got to the area where the other two were shoeing and saw bald young man with a scar near his eye going towards his chin that held a goatee. "I am a headmaster in this school. I apologize for the demeanor that I'm in since I was cleaning the stables with these two students. If you can head towards the headmaster office and have our secretary guide you to my own personal office. After I get cleaned up I'll get you registered." Turning to the other two, "Class for you two will start soon so after you shoe that horse go to Nutrition I believe."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xero looked at the clock once more and decided to start a bit early. "Everyone open your books to page 32. We will begin our nutrition class. We will list some of the plants that will increase blood flow."

William looked up when the teacher began to speak. he put his current book away and took out his note book and nutrition book and flipped to the instructed page, and waited to see if there were anymore instructions. He eximined the teacher. his, eyes, his facal features,The way he stood ,even his clothing was emotionless. why do we have to know about plants that increase blood flowhe thought to himself. he removed his hat then took off his necklace, he began to play with it, tossing it from hand to hand, running his fingers over the cold silver, dropping it and catching it in midair, he was bored and when he got bored he figited. the only sound William heard was pages flipping and the small clicking of his necklace as he played with it.

Rain lifted her head from her arms and then grabbed her book. Quickly turning to page thirty two she scanned over the page. Her dark blue eyes looked up at Xero.

Diente looked up from his panic stated and then grabbed his book. Opening to the page right away he did not look at the text, instead he chose to look out the window.

((I apologize if there is in fact someone playing the secretary, I figured the lines were so minor it wouldn't matter, but feel free to change it if it's a problem.))

Cyrus nodded his agreement with the older man, handing his reigns over to the man. As he turned to leave, he feigned a slight fall that ended with him tipping over the bucket of nails. He quickly bent down and righted the bucket, though unseen by the others in the stable one or two of its contents found their way into his coat.

Heading to the entrance he dusted himself off and entered the main foyer, and after wandering for some time, found his way upstairs. Approaching the secretary he said: "I'm supposed to meet with one of the headmasters... Whichever one is in the stables currently?"

"Ah, that'll be Garreth. Follow me please." she replied and lead him over to the headmaster's office. Sitting down, he waited for her to leave and then began fidgeting in his seat. Looking around the office, there were several pieces of interesting merchandise he very much wanted to take apart and examine... luckily he was tired enough from his ride over that he managed to resist his tinkering urges.

Pulling the two nails he pilfered from the stables out, he examined them, and saw that they were minorly sharp, but probably too dull to make good bolts. He'd have to find a sharpening stone and some form of string later to turn them into proper "surprises" for any new "friends" he might make during his time here.

Slipping them back into his pocket, his hands started getting sweaty, and he hoped that the headmaster would show up soon, otherwise his tinkering urges would overcome his common sense... and that never ended well.

Garreth left the two student to clean themselves up as he entered his own private bathroom in his quarters. After cleaning himself up he walked towards his own room. Seeing the green clad male in there he sat down at his chair and asked, "Now I'm assuming you have most of your papers ready from when you applied to this school. I just need you to tell me your name and the weapon you currently use. Then I'll give you this map and which dorm room you'll be in. Then this class schedule as well." Garreth said all this while taking out the necessary items.

((Don't worry about the secretary. Just to let you know she's short and dwarf like with the face to match.))
PostPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2007 1:22 pm

"Cyrus Ahrez, sir. The weapons I currently use are my knuckledusters..." his voice trailed off. He was going to add 'and whatever else I make while I'm here' but figured from the man's demeanor that he wouldn't stand for that sort of thing.

As he waited for the headmaster to hand him the map and his dorm room number and class schedule, Cyrus had to try and keep himself from yawning. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, and he knew it would probably be a while before he was settled in enough to sleep well here... however long he was here. He knew that he was nothing special, and a school as good as this one, probably wouldn't tolerate his mediocre demeanor. His grandpa told him he could be one of the best, and his skill with weapon and item modification was amazing... but Cyrus wasn't sure he even cared that much.

Sighing softly, he waited for the headmaster to hand him the documents.

Garreth nodded and handed him the papers. "Here you are Mr. Ahrez. Please go straight to nutrition class. Mr. Nerion has probably just started."

---------------------------------------------------------

Hiro turned to the page as he read of different items like ginseng and other root like plants that helped with blood flow. "I didn't know plants could do that."

Falco looked bored as he read the page. It wasn't interesting to him.

Forza was amazed at the things and he turned to Hiro, "Wow Hiro. Plants are cool. But some plants are scary. Like that one plant that eats flies."

Xero overhearing the boy made a remark, "The venus fly trap plant consumes insects by luring it with the color of it's mouth and sweet scent. It senses when the fly lands on it and with its teeth like outer rim traps the fly as the juices it excretes dissolves the fly and turns into an edible substance. There is also a man eating plant that ten times the size of a venus fly trap and it's poison is very hard to take. I remember it was hard to break through when I was trapped in one."

William was listening to the teacher as he started talking about venus flytraps and it's man-eating reletive. sure glad there arn't any of those around here.

Cyrus thanked the headmaster, then turned and left holding all the papers in his hand. Opening his long coat he folded the documents and placed them in its interior, save for the map which he used to find the Nutrition classroom.

Stopping outside the door, he sighed. He hated entering small rooms full of people, it gave everyone a reason to notice you and that was something that made him decidedly uncomfortable. Mustering his courage though, he entered the room and closed the door behind him.

Sure enough, everyone in there noticed him enter, and he was in such a hurry to get the spotlight off himself he nearly forgot to be polite to the instructor. Turning away from the peering eyes of the class, he bowed slightly to the professor & fidgeted while he waited for permission to take a seat. He hoped someone would be polite enough to let him set down near them, otherwise things would get even more awkward...
