((sorry for the inactivity (school has taken over again (TOT) and don't worry windmaster, there will be more... -evil grin-))
Avalon watched absentmindedly as Soren finished off the Nightling. He was completely infuriated. Avalon guessed he had something personal against Nightlings. 'And so do we all...'
She turned towards the man lying unconscious next to her. He seemed to be breathing normally. "And who is this, I wonder?" She said, mainly to herself.
((I hope school doesn't kill my baby... (o.0)))

((Yeah, I'm all for blaming school on my inactivity as well. :XP))
"I'm Roarin and that man over there is Marius, you're attendant or at least that what he seemed like to me. He kept calling you his mistress." responded Roarin. "I don't know what's happened to him though. It looked like he just collapsed after touching you..." He gave Avalon an inquisitive look. "Which makes me wonder just who are you?"

Marius stirred, wincing from what little light was in the forest. "Ugh... Did anyone get a description of the carriage that ran over me?" His eyes were bloodshot and he quickly covered them. "Where-" Remembering what had transpired, Marius sat up and looked around. "Is Mistress Avalon OK?!"
Seeing Avalon safe, save for the wound, he sighed in relief. "I had foreseen the battle but not the outcome... I'm glad you're safe." He covered his eyes once more and bowed as low as was feasible. "I must apologize for not properly revealing myself." Parting his cloak, Marius exposed the sole weapon he had on him; the Dagger of the Order. "My name is Marius." He took care not to specifically mention the Order in front of people he didn't know.
"Really, I wasn't supposed to follow Mistress, but after that vision, I knew I had to go after Mistress. I beg Mistress' pardon." Despite being high up in the Order himself, Marius became very humble in front of the person he had been trying to protect most of his life.

((I'm just glad my baby's still alive! (^^) and angst = me having to rewrite a very long post due to computer difficulties evil ))
"I'm Avalon," she said. "Marius you say? How did you meet?" She avoided his last question. Roarin had popped out of nowhere with this Marius, and though Marius saved her life, they were both suspicious. She now regretted telling the others her identity. Soren and Karah were fine, they were both of the order. But the elf and the demon... 'How could I be so naive and tell them??! How careless!!' She thought angrily.
When Soren walked up to her, she could see that he was still livid with fury. His scar was still burning. 'I wonder what could've made him so angry,' she wondered.
Avi started when the man next to her, known by Roarin as Marius, cried out for her. She blushed the tiniest bit at being called mistress. "Calm down, I'm fine! And please, just call me Avalon." Part of the mystery was cleared up when he showed her the dagger of the Order. "Marius you say? I don't think I've ever met you."
Upon realizing they were still on the ground, Avalon stood. Her left arm was still black where the beast had cut her and it was a bit sore, but she could still move it. When she tried applying pressure to the wound, she winced. Once she was off the ground, she extended her good arm to Marius, who was still on the ground. "No need to aplogize, you saved my life after all. Thank you," she said with a smile.

Marius quickly got up to his feet by himself, not wanting to trouble Avalon, but then swayed from the sudden rush. "Blech." He winced and then stabilized himself. "This is the first time we've met, but I've known you all my life." Marius said with a warm smile. He waved off her thanks as he was only doing his duty.
Pausing, he inspected the wound. "We should bleed the Fear out while it's dormant." Blinking over at Roarin's remarks, he smiled once more, though it was a very hidden one. "Mis-.. Miss Avalon here is ... how you say..." Anything would be good enough to tide over the man's curiousness. "Of noble blood."

Marius' comments confused Avalon. She didn't take offense when he refused her helping hand. Some people are just like that, although she reached out to him when he looked like he was about to fall. He regained his balance without incedent, though.
"You've known me... what?" Avalon was completely at loss as to who this man was. She wasn't aware she had been watched her whole life by the Order. Her mother was of the Order as well, but that was different. Soon enough, Marius was all business. "It's fine, I think. You don't need to go through all that trouble!" He didn't seem strong enough at that point to handle much else besides staying balanced.
Avalon smiled at Marius' explanation. It would do for now. 'I don't know what I'm going to do about the others, though...'
When Soren had gained control over his anger, he apologized. "Don't worry about it, Soren," she assured him.

"Of noble blood? I guess that explains enough..." He muttered the last part, but his interest was turned to the man with the lions. Roarin had seen the scars and his first thought was, He must have been careless. After the sparks went out he saw it served another purpose. After the man apologized he looked away back to Marius and Avalon. "Well now that the nightling has been taken care of I only wonder where to now?"

((SORRY! The RP was inactive and I kind of lost the habit of checking back...and I'm in exams season myself, so my gaia time is REALLY limited. But I didn't forget about you guys!))
Melissa stared in shock as the beast attacked Avalon. Not a trained warrior, something inside her just...froze. She had never seen such a monster before. She wanted to ask what it was, but that would be diminishing herself in front of those petty humans.
So, the woman watched the Beast being killed, the two men joining ranks, the struggle of the girl against the nightmares. It came to her ears that the beast was a Nightling - that and the effect of the wound in Avalon suddenly clicked in her head. The Nightmares disease. Those things were the responsible.
All of this was thought calmly and silently. It is not in an elf's nature to rush things, to speak without considering exactly what to say, to act without first measuring all the pros and cons. Patience and thought are their most prized qualities.
Deciding carefully what should be her next cause of action, the young elf looked around. That Avalon girl was of royal blood indeed; adding what she had heard from that Order with the recent events and the mindless human chatter which ensued, it was obvious she was indeed the girl from the prophecy. That beast had come for her.
"This is proving more dangerous than I thought. Joining reckless humans...madness, it is. But I already gave my word I would follow the girl to the capital. Not that a human would know the value of such vow, less alone be worthy of it. But my previous conclusion was right - she is the only hope I have left. The last hope of the village. So I must protect her. And judging by the human costume of talking without thinking, I'm guessing they'll provide much precious information. Even if their gibberish gives me a headache."
Happy with her conclusions, the blond girl reached for one of her pockets and approached Avalon. "Here. This is a seed known by my people to absorb poisons and avoid infections. Put it on your wound, and then cover it with this leaf, so it will close." She produced, as she spoke, a small pouch of a grainy seed and a wide green leaf covered with a sort of sticky blue pigment. She might not be the best of warriors, but she knew her way around wounds.

Maiu sat in the cave looking at the wall.She had a blank look in her face but she was actually thinking about the death of her father.How did he die?.Maiu thought.She sat next to Hiro as he slept.

Taking out his ridiculously thick glasses and putting them on, Marius looked over at Avalon. "Where are you headed?" He would most likely just follow her. Marius saw the elf give Avalon the leaf and nodded his head in thanks.
