Anji looked over at Misao and nodded in agreement with you, "Your orders, Misao." He stated simply.
Misao was still panting and swallowed hard as if she was pushing her heart back into her chest. "We should head south towards the camp. Maybe we'll get lucky and run into Daisuke-sama or at the very least get within radio range."
She leans off the tree and looks over her shoulder as she thinks about the big kunai-cannon demon, "Let's take to the trees!" She states before leaping up into the tree everyone is resting against and starts leaping south.

Motoko lept to another branch as the crashing noises came. She didn't even have to look back to know what it was, but she did anyway. She could see the black cloak of the Akatsuki member that was tearing and roaring after them.
The image of all those mouths, ripping, tearing..it sent chills up her spine. She couldn't believe that something that ugly and dreadful could exist.
"It looks like Chaos Theory just went and gave her an advantage..." Motoko honestly didn't know what Chaos Theory was. And she didn't really have time to ask Sanosuke what it was.
Whatever Chaos Theory was though, was seemingly unwilling to get out of bed and help them, though.

Kyo took a moment to catch his breath before leaping at one tree and kicking off of it and into the trees.
He always enjoyed leaping through trees far more than running, or even walking for that matter. For him running or walking took too much concentration, far more than he personally deemed necessary for the act. Plus, it tired him out a little too much.
But leaping, that was just pure enjoyment. He expend just a tiny bit of his energy to propel himself forwards, and use the time in air to take a deep breath and try to slow down his pulse a little.
In this particular situation he was doing just that. Running and dodging had really kind of drained his legs, and leaping felt like such a reflex action that he barely felt his feet connect with wood. He also found that as his pulse slowed, he was better able to think clearly. "Hey guys, we headed north-east to get here... Shouldn't we be headed south-west, and not due south?"
A thought dawned on him suddenly as he thought about direction, and then his pulse shot back up in fear. "Oh s**t! Did anybody even look at the map and compass before we started jumping?"

((I did forget, thank you for reminding me Bros! I'm also posting in the Bleach Guild tonight))
Misao looked back at you and immediately barked, "Oh would you just quit complaining or I'll trip you and let that giant Kunai Demon get you!"
Sanosuke winces as he hears another tree being collapsed behind him. He looks over at you and says, "Well....I did say it was Chaos Theory...it really if it went in our favor all the time then it couldn't be chaotic I suppose."
"Keep running little shinobi, all of this chasing is making me more hungry!" Pandora yells from behind you, with her current pace she will catch up to you very quickly.
Sanosuke mutters, "40.56 seconds..." to himself as if he's timing how long it will take before she catches up with you both. Then he says, "Hey.. do you hear something?"
"Why in the world would we need a compass anyways? I have the Byukagen. If you just give me a second I can activate it and we'll know EXACTLY where we are Fan-boy." She places her hands in the activation seal and closes her eyes.
~BYUKA---CRASH!!~
Misao slams headlong right into another object and both go tumbling down to the ground. There is a small thud and you see she is laying ontop of another person.
"Hey watch where you're going you clumsy..... Sanosuke????"
Misao hops off of the body and Sanosuke is laying on the floor with swirls in his eyes. "38.56 seconds" he mumbles in a daze.
Anji lands on the forest floor just behind Misao.

"That's true, I guess.." Motoko shrugged slightly. She wished there was an everyday luck of Sanosuke and Motoko theory. However, that seemed kind of unlikely. Especially as they leaped through the forest and the monster got ever closer.
And then as Sanosuke and Misao collided in midair, she couldn't help think that Chaos Theory was completely deadset against them.
Motoko hopped down from the tree, landing on the ground as she stood over Sanosuke. "This isn't anytime to be lying down on the ground, Sanosuke. That...thing will catch up to us soon."

It took Kyo a moment before he realized that Motoko had mentioned that something was chasing them. His mind instantly flashed to his inner image of the cannon demon. His brain sort of switched off again, and he began to act on instincts.
He dropped from the branch he had halted on and, scooping Sanosuke up and sling him across his shoulders, he began to run in the direction they had originally been head. "Let's try to keep ahead of the demon, people!"

Motoko paused for a second. She had a very confused look on her face. "Demon? W-Wait, Kyo!" The young girl chased after Kyo, who was still moving very quick for having another boy on his shoulders. She had to wonder if Kyo trained a lot..
"There's a Demon chasing you? How can we deal with a Demon and an Akatsuki member..."

Sanosuke snapped out of his daze and said, "Demon? Kyo-san? What the... Misao? Anji!?! What are you doing here"
Misao and Anji had caught up with you two and she glared at Kyo, "Hey! Don't you think you should have carried off one of the women in the group... or are you into rescuing guys?" This was all cut off by Anji, who got right to the point and described their run-in with the Akatsuki, Dirge. "And he's still right behind us with those HUGE demon Kunai!" Misao exclaimed.
Sanosuke then relays the story about the Akatsuki, Pandora "She is defenately still behind us and gaining. She should catch up with us in 20.35 seconds."
"WRONG!" Came a voice from up ahead that made Anji and Misao stop on the next tree, though Misao frantically waved her arms to get her balance so she didn't fall off from the momentum.
Pandora was standing on a tree limb 50 feet ahead of you, though the "tails" with the mouths weren't visible, with an evil smile on her face. "You didn't take into consideraton that I was letting you get a headstart. As if I'm going to let a group of kids outrun me."

Motoko looked over at Misao. "Huhh..Would you really be satisfied if he'd carried you? We can move faster this way." She jumped through the trees as quick as she could, keeping up with the speeding Kyo. From Sanosuke's guess, they had about 20 seconds to formulate a plan.
The voice up ahead proved her wrong, her feet slamming down onto a tree branch, her hand reaching up to grab the one above her, her body jerking forwad at the sudden stop.
"Oh my..." Motoko looked at her group. She kind of assumed that Misao would just want to attack it. Kyo had been proven wrong, but seemed the best bet. She ran through her skill list and equipment. She wished she'd remembered to bring Explosive Notes. next time, she would.. Her hand trailed, snagging two more senbon out of the holster. This could be her last stand.
((I forgot all about The Akatsuki Forum. >.> I have to do that later today.))

Sanosuke slides out of Kyo's arms and turns to look at Pandora, "I took that into my calculations but I didn't want to believe it was possible."
Misao finally catches her balance and stands up straight before pointing at the woman, "What the hell! There's ANOTHER Akatsuki! She must be with the Kunai-Cannon one!"
This makes Pandora smile, "Oh, you mean Dirge? He's my partner but I don't need his help for this. No no I'm so hungry now I'm going to eat you all up." She lets her tongue run over her lips as she takes off her straw hat once more, her fingers run through her hair as she proposes, "I'm giving you 5 minutes to come up with a strategy to try to escape or beat me. You're free to attack me before that time is up but if you even think about running."
There is a light *thunk* as a few kunai embed themself in the tree right by your feet. "You'll be dead before you can blink."

Kyo fell to his a** quite quickly, and after a moment he toppled over backwards and laid down on the ground, breathing heavily. His adrenaline was starting to wear off and fatigue was hitting him, causing him to shake a little. Once he had caught his breathe he spoke, but very slowly and still inbetween large gulps of air.
"I think... I'm gonna... s**t myself... Hopefully she'll hate the taste... and spit me out." He laughed slightly, which turned into a painful cough as he rolled over onto his side and brought his legs slightly inwards. His lungs felt like they were on fire now.

Motoko looked around at the people around her. They were definitely a motley crew. Still, they had quite a good assortment of wits and talents at their disposal. Five minutes to come up with a strategy. Also, running didn't seem to be possible. Both her and Kyo had the Sharingan, but she had no idea what jutsu he possessed.
"Kyo. We need to figure something out. Any ideas?"
((I'm sorry it's taken me so long. I'm in a bit of a financial pickle, and I don't have a lot of access to interwebz. Sorry.))

The combined squadrons all huddeled together and Misao was the first to speak, "Well.....what do you have planned Sanosuke?" She asked to her teamate.
Sanosuke closed his eyes and went into deep thought a soft "hmmmmm" escaping his lips for a brief moment. He then opens his eyes and says, "I... don't have a clue. From what we've seen she has a pair of organic "tails" that are able to eat material and be used offensively. She is also faster than any of us. I'd say the only thing we have on our side is sheer numbers."
