Elrohir smiled back at Cindy and said, "Pleasure to meet you, Cindy." Then he looked at Triton thoughtfully. Perhaps it was his imagination, but it seemed ast hough Triton was quieter than he remembered. Then again, he realized, he hadn't exactly been approachable before.

He grinned at Triton, trying to make him feel at ease. ""I hope you'll forgive me for the way I used to be," he said softly. "I was an a**, and I'm more sorry for that than I could ever express."

Triton smiled back warmly, it did seem like Elrohir had changed quite a bit since even the last two times he had met the guy.

"I do," Triton replied back, "You have changed quite a bit I see. Though I should know, I've been told."

Elrohir chuckled. "Well, I know from experience how difficult it can be to believe something that you've been told but you've never seen yourself personally."

Haradhel appeared at the top of the stairs suddenly, dressed as few had ever seen her before. Her long hair was flowing freely down her back today, something she had never done as a trainee, and she wasn't in any sort of uniform at all. She was actually wearing a plain white blouse and tan pants. Also new was the white gold ring on her finger.

"Hello," she called out brightly upon seeing their guests (they were actually their boss and his kids but it didn't quite seem like that yet), and she came slowly down the stairs. "Welcome! How long have you been here?"

Her soft brown eyes glowed brightly as she took Elrohir's arm and leaned slighly against him.

"Not long," Donovan replied, "We just got her not too long ago, though if you mean how long we've been here in the world, since last night. We're just shifting through introductions. You've met the kid in my pocket, the man is Triton, and the woman with me is Cindy, or Cinderella is her full name. There are two other people by the names of Feng and Ryu, but they should be in lessons by now."

He paused for a minute thinking about that.

"I think..."

"Ah, pity," Elrohir murmured. "It would have been nice to see her again."

Despite his actions the previous time he had seen Kara, he did like her. What he hadn't liked back then was the fact that she was in a relationship with Donovan, someone from a different race than she: but time (and Haradhel) had changed him in that respect as well, and, in the same way that he no longer cared that his sister was a shapeshifter (he had even gotten out of the habit of using the word demon!), he no longer cared about interracial relations.

At least, for the most part.

Haradhel looked at Donovan and Triton curiously. "Lessons?" she repeated curiously. "What sort of lessons?"

Triton nodded, "Mom would have been happy to, maybe next time, after she knows how everything is," he shrugged good naturally, "More little siblings."

Well just one, and that was Yukiko, since Lin was now no longer the youngest.

Donovan glanced at Haradhel thoughtfully, "Ryu is fine using the sword, which he has, Feng..." he thought about it, "Something she can use while on horse back. Maybe bow."

Since it would give Feng a long range weapon to counter her short range, and assuming the twins would be working together as usual would probably be preferable.

Elrohir let out a low whistle. "Wow," he murmured. "And I thought our family was getting big."

He paused.

"Of course ... with Riordan gone, I suppose the family is actually smaller than it should have been ... and of course none of his children count."


Haradhel nodded. "That shouldn't be too difficult - depending, of course, on her ability to learn. We'll have to set up some targets, of course, but ..."

She nodded again and smiled. "Yes ... I think that would work." She shifted her position and looked back at Donovan. "So would you like a tour of the house? Or are you anxious to see the rest of the ranch first?"
