Batafurai grunted competitavely, before getting into position. "Well, if you're ready I'm ready," Her right hand lowered behind her back and her left was placed infront of her body. Her two legs were lazily spread apart and her body was lowered to the ground. She grinned widely and looked at her opponent. "Ready.. Steady.." The kumo-nin paused. "You ready? You steady?" She paused again. "The gorilla Danfred thinks so.." Another pause. "Ready, Steady, OFF WE GO!"
((I'll post her start after you post yours, Kyground. n.n))

Isaaku took of in a hurry, a cloud of dust in his wake. But he dropped back down to a jog quickly. He just hoped nobody would notice the indentation of the earth in the shape of a foot at his starting place. Somebody could trip, but it was unlikely. He pushed off maybe a little too hard. "The gorilla Danfred? Where does she find this stuff?"

Shinji nodded. "That would be nice. It's not every day that someone offers me a chance to eat on their benefit." He removed his headband to wipe the sweat off of his brow. Shinji placed his headband in its usual spot around his right arm and turned to Mayumi. "How about it, sensei?"

Mayumi put a hand to her chin in thought. This wouldn't be a bad idea at all, and would let her examine her team more personally and intricately. Things like these are hard to come by for a shinobi and are very much savored and enjoyed.
"Lead the way, Kento and Kenso," she said with glee, "I'm hungry as well, so some would be great."

"Wonderful! Please follow us." The twins led the way home from the training grounds to their nice family home. Occasionally, they stayed at their apartment when they felt a little at odds, but they could bring guests to their clan home. A few butlers greeted them at the door, and they took weapons and things of burden so that the guests could go in. After they walked past several rooms, they came to the dining room, a long and grand room (done in mostly cherrywood) room with a long table and several cushions of the finest quality. The twins looked at the servants and asked for the orders of the guests.

Batafurai zipped off swiftly and began to jog energetically next to her opponent. She smirked, pulling both her hands infront of her body and pausing her leg movements for a split second, before stepping down with her right foot hard. Her arms flew back and she thrusted herself forward, begining to sprint on her toes with the extra push.

Isaaku was still beside her, keeping up easily. "We're nearly half way there! Come on! You must something to make you go really fast!" Isaaku looked back to the direction the were running, a crowd of some sort was gathering there. He smiled and started making hand signs. A dome opened in the ground and he jumped and landed inside. It sank into the earth and popped up on the other side. He looked for what Batafurai would do. If she was already ahead of him, he'd fly past in a heartbeat. Maybe two.

You could see a faint lustful glimmering in Kinu's eyes as Roque held out the book. Yes, she was definately interested in that. Not only had she never seen the book before, but she didn't even recognize the author. Besides it looked like it was packed to the very edges with information. Of course, she had no idea if it was information that would be valuable to her, but at the very least she could spend a few nights going through it. She had to admit, books were her definite weak spot, she couldn't resist them.
As for Roque's philosphy in life, Kinu found it really annoying. Not prepare ever? You must be joking. She could not comprehend how a person could live life on such a principle. Partly she could understand the logics behind the statement, but there was no way she would ever be able to live a casual lifestyle like that. Damn right, Kinu wanted to expect things out of life, she wanted dreams and goals that she could reach for. She wanted to have things to look forwards to. As some wise man said: "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." In other words, she was not the least afraid of being let down, even though it still hurt as it would for any person. Unfortunately Kinu did acknowledge, that expecting things to happen could also lead to underestimating opponents, but this was a weakness she was working hard on erasing. Besides, after all, everyone the least bit human underestimated some opponent at some point in their life, it was simply human nature.
"Nice bribe you've got there, how did you know I like reading?" Kinu spoke in a somewhat cold tone of voice, as if Roque had been intruding on her personal space. Partly she even felt that way, but she didn't want to seem too eager to get the book either.
"But I was planning on doing that anyways." Kinu smirked and then lightly added. "Well of course only enough so that you would have time to recover for next weeks new assignment. We're on the same team after all." She raised her shoulders slightly, then made a movement that looked like she was about to mimick Roque's pose, only hidden under it she fired her first senbon needles. These needles were aimed at her teammate's exposed left side of the neck. If they connected, they wouldn't do much more than lightly scrape his skin and perhaps sting a little, but it would be enough to signal that the sparring had begun.
Let's test that strategy of yours. Kinu thought as she pushed off backwards while waiting to see what Roque's next move would be. But I'm sure you will have quite a few surprises up your sleeve that I can look forwards to seeing.

Shinji was in awe of the Kurama clan's home. Compared to this, the Yohare house was a dump. I guess that happens when you still have living family members, Shinji thought. Maybe I should do some renovations at some point...
To the twins' question, he responded, "Er, I guess I'll have some soup of some sort. Maybe tomato?"

Mayumi lifted up the left side of her blinker in order to gaze at exactly how big the Kurama estate was. She was shocked at its size, but showed a delighted smile, nonetheless. It was beautiful, and it was enthralling; this place was far beyond her apartment both here, and at the Village of Sand.
Following the sound of their footsteps, she noticed the high quality of the floor from the sound that it made. She walked in the sound of their breathing and made sure that she did not knock over anything expensive. The twins' servants also looked kind and respectful.
"Any solid food would be fine, thank you," she said to the servant, while smiling and putting a hand up to indicate that she did not need much fussing over.
"So guys," she started, "I expect that we will be sent out on some missions fairly soon. I think it would be nice to get in some teamwork training before then, don't you think?"

"Some French Onion Soup and a light salad. Thank you. Yes, sensei. That is our ulterior motive for inviting you here this afternoon. We wish to learn more about you, so as to better predict movements in battle. For us, this is no problem, but we cannot keep activating the False World to go over battle strategies."
The twins were usually very honest with those they'd have to work with, which was odd considering their specialty was deception and illusion. They immediately began going into battle preps, plans, and things of a more team like nature for Mayumi to go over and decide ultimately what would need to be trained. Their dinners arrived. Tomato soup for Shinji with some bread for dipping. Since her order had been very open, there was a chicken veloute with garden vegetables for Mayumi with a salad as a beginning course. Finally, the twins food came out. Two sets of identical food for them.
"So, Mayumi sensei, what would your opinion be on the teamwork training? What should we go over first?" They began between mouthfuls. They had been brought up to be gentlemen ninjas, so they had impeccable manners especially in their own home.

(( When do you guys think we'll get the day done and through? I'm planning on starting something that'll grab all of the characters' attention, for the next day, so we all don't necessarily have to wait for each and every person to post. ))

Batafurai giggled at the taunt and watched as Isaaku used a special jutsu. Quickly making some hand signs herself, she converted some of her electricity to the soles of her feet. Her speed increased dramatically, and lowering her body closer to the ground boosted it further. Her energetic figure was just a blur of colour now. Looking back, she waited to see what her opponent would do next.
((Doesn't really matter. If Kyground and I don't finish the race thing I can just say that we drawed or something.))

(( Well, once it goes on, it will be a bit different for the teams to keep with what they're doing.... Well, I guess it wouldn't affect them that much, but things will be different.... Maybe we can wait until night time. I'm just a bit iffy for the fact that it takes a few of us a little longer to post than others... ))
