Freodwyn Hmmm...I could have Kiongozi join the pride, I suppose, though I don't think he'd be of original blood, considering his name means "leader". razz Unless, of course, his mother though he was a reincarnation of an important figure who had to atone for his wrongs...or perhaps mistook him for a girl when he was first born. I dunno...what do you guys think?
Well, if you want him to be a rogue joining, that's perfectly fine.
However, I always figured it would probably be a sort of an unofficial custom or tradition to name your offspring after an older, dead member - especially if they happened to look a lot like said deceased member. So, in essence, his mother could have thought that he was the matron of her clan that died (an aunt, cousin, or something) and simply named him after her because he looked a lot like her. To make it even more plausible, you could go so far as to say that said matron was not exactly looked highly upon by the other lionesses, perhaps for her views or actions or how she ruled her clan in general. It would give them the belief that she was reincarnated as a male to atone for that :3
It's your choice, either works very well. I've gone ahead and given everyone the go ahead to have original blood members venture out into the rogue lands so that waiting on the pride becoming official doesn't hinder RP. So, in the end, it's your decision and we don't mind either way. <3

That seems like a reasonable idea; I'll need some more time to flesh out the details, but now that I've thought about it a bit more, I'm leaning toward the idea that he was originally a matron who convinced her clan to claim they had hunted and killed a dead elephant they had simply found in the jungle, to "prove" their prowess as a warrior clan. But all who touched the elephant and ate of it would have gotten sick and died. Kion's mother would have been the only survivor, since she was pregnant at the time and no one wanted her to foil the lie by saying she was involved somehow. Since Kion was born right after the matron died from the sickness and bore the same orange marking on his maw that she had, his mom assumed he was reincarnated as a blood-colored male as punishment for leading the clan to disaster/extinction.

Very true, very true. Stories like that are just fun.
Man, so many people are interested in this pride that I can't wait to get my queen and get it started. Or Ume's, for that matter. I just want it started. XD

Uhm, you mean, can a matron of a clan claim a new-blood member, as in a rogue? She can adopt one into the clan, yes, because all new rogues have to belong to SOME clan. If a rogue looks a lot like the members of a certain clan, the matron would probably seek her out to have her join. If a rogue doesn't look anything like an existing clan, they would have to find a clan willing to take them.
However, rogues can make their own clan if they want to. If they come in with a sister or other female relative, they usually will.

Yes. XD -fluffs her- One queen down and one to go! biggrin
And Fe-fe's queen has no real set.. look. Once I get my custom slot (lawl I never manage to) I'm just going to tell the colorist that Soyala is her half-sister and that her clan is called 'water dragon' and see what they make of it. I think the only thing I'm completely positive that I want is the Leo spots like Soyala. Well, that, and she couldn't have any neutral coloring at all, obviously, being that she's queen. XD
