Zeruel stood up and moved to a clear spot on the ground. He knelt down, and summoned a knife.

"Daruk no shad nitha," Zeruel said softly, cutting his fingertips and drawing runes with his blood on the floor. "Nak shin da ranin. Orath no shad nitha, velure alune."

As Zeruel continued to whisper and draw runes on the floor in a circle, the blood began turning black and emitting a black fire.

"Ing shay davian, un Barion. Ing shay davian, un Carrion. Ing shay davian, un Sarrian," Zeruel said, standing up and cutting lines in his right hand down each finger to the center of his palm. he then let the blood pool in his hand as he held it over the center of the circle of runes for a few seconds before closing his hand. He then knelt back down and placed his hand in the small pool of blood and his hand melted into the blood.

"Naruth nara, nirath niri. Umbra ando, shondra shinda," Zeruel said, his voice louder than before. Suddenly the blood began smoking and turning pure black, forcing his hand to the surface of the small pool of blood. Zeruel withdrew his hand and watched as the pool of black liquid formed a perfect sphere that hovered about a foot off the ground, leaving no trace of it's existance on the ground. The circles of runes lifted off the ground and began rotating around the spehere.

"Summon it directly in my blood there," Zeruel said, his hand dripping blood.

"No worries," Zeruel whispered, falling to the ground. "It should stay right there until I release the blood barriers, or until I die. Which ever happens first."

Zeruel laid back on the ground and closed his eyes. His hand wasn't healing properly, and it was taking his toll on him trying to heal his hand.

"Musta used the blood blade," Zeruel whispered, tossing the blade in his hand to the back of the forge with most other junk on the ground.

Zeruel sat up suddenly wide eyed. "Not done yet!" Zeruel exclaimed, moving his left hand in an arc through the barrier and vaccuum, sending it into a phased form of reality.

"Ok, all done..." Zeruel said, plopping back on the ground.

Zeruel opened his eyes to reveal a solid emerald green color, much different than his normal silver color.

"The only thing that will let me heal this hand properly is fresh blood," Zeruel said, his voice slightly different than normal as he looked at Nara.

"You see, I was converted to a child of the night when I turned fifty, and I have since been looking for a way to cure it, though last year I found that it is uncurable. So I took some advice I was given and worked with it rather than fighting it," Zeruel sat up and crossed his legs as he turned to focus on Nara.

"I've realized that fresh blood is hard to come by in the human world, even though there are so many humans. To blend in, one must not feed. However, I need to feed." Zeruel said, standing up and looking directly into Nara's eyes.

Zeruel hesitated, his eyes flickering between the emerald green and the normal silver. "Thank you," Zeruel said quietly, bringing his mouth to Nara's neck. He breathed in her scent as his teeth pierced her flesh and let the blood seep into his mouth.

Zeruel counted the beats of Nara's heart. 'One, two, three,' Zeruel counted to ten beats, removed his teeth from her throat and licked the puncture wounds on her neck, healing them and leaving no trace of him ever touching her neck except for a slight shimmer from his tongue.

Zeruel moved sat back and looked at Nara before turning his attention to his hand. The wound on his hand had closed in the short span that he had fed. Zeruel was normally a dark skinned person, as his Drow heritage showed, though his skin deepened to a more natural color as he felt the fresh blood flow through him.

Zeruel's eyes took on a more silver color, though they were heavily laced with green now, much more than they previously were.

Zeruel nodded. "I do feel better, though I'm still tired."

Zeruel stood up slowly and offered a hand to Nara. "Anyways, I can sleep when I'm dead. And thank you, love," Zeruel said with a smile.

"Hey, I'm only about twenty to you. I'm NOT old!" Zeruel exclaimed.

"Anyways," Zeruel said, looking at the barrier he had created, "How exactly does this stuff ignite into explosives?"

"What?! That's not fair! I'm not even allowed to legally drink back in Morthain... though I do anyways on occasion..." Zeruel said, mumbling the last bit. "And anyways, do I look as old as I actually am?"

"Half-Elf? Never been called that before," Zeruel said back, his voice lower as he didn't have to have it carry very far. With the recent feeding, he could sense her heart beat, as well as smell her, both of which mixed with the smells of the forge and the scent of his brother as well as his brother's heart beat.

"As for the cute part, well, I must say that I've been called handsome, but only when I'm wearing my royal outfits and such, never after I've been working in my forge for a while," Zeruel said. "However, now that I have a better sense of my surroundings, I do believe you are rather cute yourself."
