Cawing could be heard in the background. Surrounding the group. Josh moaned and shifted his body. No more was his back propped against the tree trunk, but now the air. Falling, falling, ground. He fell on his right shoulder and grunted a bit as his left shoulder joint slammed in its socket.
Ethereal voices seemed to flow around through the boy's subconsciousness. Rumors of having to pack up and go. A pained and raspy, "But I don't want to go!" escaped from Josh's dry throat. Lifting his eyelids was harder than he had imagined it would be, it was almost as if his eyes had crusted over after a night's sleep with pink eye.
He internally moaned and groaned as his muscles and bones seemed to creak and strain as he tried to lift his body off the grass and onto his feet. His tired eyes landed themselves on the flocking crows and the dead ogre bodies. So, it wasn't a dream after all... he thought, sighing. The putrid stench didn't seem to bother the young man, because after all he seemed to have year-round allergies that only effected his nose.
Josh placed his hands on his knees and bent them (his knees) a little, while staring at Anne. "But I guess if we need to go... we need to go."

Kiyoko sighed, and forced her tired limbs to get up. They screamed for her to return to her normal state, but when looking upon the others', she silenced it. They were all suffering some kind of damage, if only there was something she could do...
But wait...of course! How could she have forgotten! Something had happened on the battlefield, but she wasn't sure if it was healing. The last thing she needed to do was cause pain for the others; she would never forgive herself if something happened. But if it would help them, oh, she just didn't know what to do!
"J-josh, h-hows your arm?" she could barely get her dry throat to say the words; perhaps if he was better, then it wasn't a screwup in the longrun. She leaned on her large staff as she stood up; while she wasn't dangerously injured, the battle had worn out all her limbs, and mabye the grass wasn't as soft as she thought it was.

(( sweatdrop xd I was waiting for Surf_dude, 'cause your character never actual said anything, it was just your OOC ))
Timmy woke from his light doze feeling surprisingly refreshed. Better than refreshed-- he felt positively electric. He pushed off of the ground and onto his feet, looking around, his mind taking in everything with a quickness he had never before had. If he had a mirror, he would have seen that his eyes were completely blue, speckled with yellow electric dots that flashed back and forth across his eyes. He felt so much energy he didn't know what to do with it all, and he didn't know why. He practically ran over to where Anne and Namine were talking, a goofy grin on his face. "OK, captain's, where are we going now? We should probably find that town don't ya think 'cause these crows are creepy where did they come from anyway? I hope the town have food I could go for some food I wonder if the food here is any different than normal food? I hope now but then again maybe it would be cool to- OW!" He had brought he hands up scratch his head and a huge electric shock jumped from him to the metal of his halberds. He looked down at his hand that was still jumping with electricity, feeling slightly less hyper.
(( Just to sort of explain: Tim's drawing in the energy in the air and converting it in his body to usable electricity. He doesn't really know how to discharge it yet so.... If you ever watched the original Pokémon-- remember that episode where Pikachu got sick on so much electricity? Yeah... *hint hint* ))

((I didn't see that episode - or hardly any other - but it seems cool. ^_^))
Anne looked stunned at the boy who was nearly bouncing up and down. She was standing in the sun, which seemed to have some sort of healing effect on her, and drawing deeper breathes she ever thought were possible, feeling the oxygen bubble inside her, like it was feeding some kind of flame. All around her, people were starting to get up and ready to go.
"I know everybody's hurt and tired...But we can't camp here...and hopefully, that town the ghost spoke of won't be too far away. Let's go." She looked around once more and noticed the dark winged girl was having quite some trouble.
Reaching her, she observed her wing and sighed. "Kiyoko was able to slightly help Josh during the battle...maybe she can try something...In the meanwhile, take this." Anne smiled and handed her staff to the girl "Use it for support."
After a few unsuccessful tries, Liam was finally able to get up. Realizing the blood stench came from his own coat, which was crimson and stiff, he took it off. Thankfully, the jacket was thick enough to absorb all the blood, keeping his shirt and trousers nearly clean.
Looking at the small black leather thongs that held the daggers on his forearms, he remembered the one he'd left in the ogre's throat. As he thought about it, though, he heard a small zooming noise and watched as the small blade flew from the ravine onto his hand. Staring at it, puzzled, the boy placed it back on its place.
"Let's get moving, then. I'd like to wash my clothes in the river." His voice was still raspy, and stars were bursting in his sight, but he felt the longer they lingered the harder it would be to move along.

"J-josh, h-hows your arm?"
It was the girl that he and Timmy had been walking with before all hell had broken loose; the girl who healed the surface wound. Josh's hand blindly found the rip in his shirt were the steel arrow had embedded itself. His fingers gingerly felt over the spot where all the pain was. The skin was soft and smooth, no blemish could be felt. He moved his arm again, only working the shoulder muscle/bone. His eyes sparkled with water coming out of his tear ducts. The silent tears of pain seemed to amplify the blue in his eyes and how they seemed to "ripple."
After a few seconds of deciphering how much his arm hurt, where it hurt, and why it might still be hurting, Josh responded, "Well... It sure feels like there is no exterior damage - but on the inside is another story. Pardon my language, but I feel like s**t. There must be something wrong with the muscles back there, maybe broken bones... I can't tell for sure though."
((Sorry if I'm sort of shaping your power for you, but I wrote it that way because of Selphie's previous OOC about healing and such))

((@ Rhm - I saw that episode. I have it on tape. It's cool.))
Star awoke when everyone started talking, and felt a little extra chirpy. She stood up, seeing that her shoulder was better, and streched. She walked over to where Anne, and namine were with Tim. Star immediatly saw Tim's eyes. "Woah. What's with the freaky eye job?" Star said, staring at his eyes.

She paused for a moment as she watched one of the boys from earlier look really....hyper. Hyper?! After this mess?! Wow, talk about looking on the bright side! She thought to herself for a moment as she watched him 'shock' himself, somehow....
After hearing Josh's answer, she sighed, looking at the ground. She was worried it was something like this; she had only been able to heal the surface of the problem, which would only make things worse on the inside. "Sweeping it under the rug", if you will. Why did she do that? Oh yeah, it was because she paniked; pankied at the sight of him fall, with blood running down his arm like a deadly fountain.....
She held back the urge to vomit as she answered. "Well, I guess I didn't do such a grand job as a healer; it's probably not a good idea for me to try ad do anything to help the rest of you if Josh isn't fairing too well. We don't have any medical supplies, so I can't clean the wound...or anything...Oh nooo! I'm so sorry!" she let her voice die off realizing this truth; she might as well have just killed the guy. She slumped against the tree, letting her back slowly slide down as she sat against it. Good job, Kiyoko! she thought scarcasitcally to herself, forcing tears threatening to fall back into her eyes. She would NOT lose it and cry.

"Wha-? What's wrong with my eyes?" Timmy said. He glanced around for something to look at himself with, and grabbed one his halberds to look in the blade's reflection. "... Huh. That's interesting." He turned his head back and forth to examine them. There were no pupils, just a complete blue color with the electric dots shooting through them. He put the halberd back and crossed his arms, rocking back and forth on his feet. "Um-mm-mm-mm, let's see. I've got bizarre yellow-ly blue hair, bizarre blue-y yellow eyes, and I keep getting shocked." He paused. "I think it's safe to say my powers have to do with electricity." He immediately began thrusting his hands forward, trying to get some kind of sparks. "I wonder what I can do? I bet I can shoot lighting and stuff and-" He abruptly stopped and put a hand to his head. "My head hurts." He said.

J.J looked at everyone, obvoiusly being ignored. He sighed, sitting down and putting his head back, he had missed a battle, maybe his stupidity in getting lost was his reason for being ignored. He sighed once more, now looking around the plains in which they were situated.

((Hey guys it Utsukushii Otaku. I'll be using my mule to post for a bit))
Namine looked around at the crowd. It seemed quite a few of them were injured. She didnt know if her healing capabilities expanded to include someone other that herself. She had the strange urge to sing and thought she was insane. Why the hell do I want to sing? she thought. She tried to supress herself but could not. Once she opened her mouth it all came rushing out. She was singing in some strange language so that it didnt sound like words but different notes intertwined to create the language. A light enveloped the area around her spreading ever so slightly. She walked towards the party her voice resounding upon the clearing. The light was warm and it bathed everyone she came close to. Namine knew it wouldn't stop. Not till she was done and she didn't even know why this was the case. When the song was over Namine looked over at everyone, her face was flushed with embarrasment. "I..I dont know what came over me.. "
((Oh the song is supposed to be like that of a siren only it has healing capabilities. I thought someone else should have healing powers and from research mermaids kinda do. Anyway I leave it up to you guys to decide if that helped you or not.))

"Don't be sorrowful, Kyioko." The look on Anne's eyes was kind and understanding "At least you do have some healing powers. Maybe they aren't perfect as of yet, but you'll improve them with time!" She winked at the girl who was obviously pretty down. "And I don't think you made anything worse." She was about to go and check on Josh's arm when Namine started singing. Some sort of light filled the place, but even though it was warm, it made Anne feel uncomfortable. Retreating a little, she nearly bumped onto J.J. "Oh, sorry...I didn't see you." She smiled at the boy, but felt a tinge of impatience "You should be more careful not to go astray. We don't know this place, and shouldn't get separated."
Liam, on the other hand, greatly enjoyed the mermaid's song. The warm light restored his strength, and lessened his bruising, even though it didn't completely heal it. When she stopped singing, he was feeling much better. "Hey, it's fine! Your song must be magical or something, because it healed me!" He laughed a bit, stretching his sore muscles.
((Sora and Namine, it's good to have healing powers. The thing is - and this stands for everyone - no powers are perfect. No one can kill foes with just a blow, or totally heal wounds with just a touch. It...lacks interest. But right now, I don't think I have reasons to complain. ^_^ And Anne doesn't like Namine's power because, seeing as she is a mermaid, it's probably water-related... wink ))

"Yeah...yeah I know...I'm just really idiotic sometimes..." He replied, not looking up at Anne, he was pretty damn stupid for losing is place in their time of need, although if he had fought he probably would have gotten in their way. Unecessary baggage, he was only a nuisance. None of them noticed him anyway, as in the normal world, he was an outcast here also. As Anne had said, "She hadn't seen him", nor did anybody else. He sighed, feeling once more like an outcast in a strange world, feeling unable to block the feeling out.

Anne was startled at the boy's sudden sadness. "Huh...sorry, I...I seem to be having a short temper problem." She felt herself blush "I guess it wasn't just my body that changed." The girl was aware she was blowing off steam on those around her, and it made her feel ashamed. But the built-up energy in her system was screaming for outlets; she felt absolutely bouncy, even if tired and ill-humored. "Forgive me?" She held her hand to the boy.

J.J looked up at her, smiling a little, relieved that someone had finally ackowldged his presence. He took her hand, he forgave her regardless, he was not in the mood be arguing over something so irrelevant. He was stupid for getting lost, however. "I thank you for apologising....also for noticing my presence..but an apology is not needed for you are right...I was stupid for getting lost..." He sighed, keeping grip of her hand for a moment, he then realised this and he released gently. A blush gently and slowly crept onto his now pale features as he looked away slightly.

Namine did not like this place at all. Many seemed to be enjoying what they had be come but she did not. Especially when she broke into song like some character straight out of a disney movie. "This just keeps getting better and better" she said sarcastically. Looking around she saw that it had helped a few and was glad it wasn't a total waste of time. She had also noticed Anne. The girl did not seem to like a lot of things she did. Namine wondered if it were because of her or the form she had taken. It had to be her form since Anne was fire based and she was water based. Namine walked towards one of the trees and leaned against it. Her mind was still fighting with this reality and she really wished she were home instead of here. Being a mermaid really isn't all its cracked up to be, she thought. "For all I know I should be in a pond flitting about and singing melodies" she said to herself. "I swear whoever chose this for me and brought me here has a sick sense of humor." Namine ran a hand through her hair and massaged her scalp in frustration. She wondered what weird things would happen next.
