Cindy blinked a bit feeling a bit silly to play like this, she didn't know why. Perhaps because she was too old, but she tried having her horse prance around and kind of play hide and seek behind other horses.
She could no bring herself to make horse sounds.

"Oh.. I think there will be always uses for the map," Donovan replied as he carefully rolled it up.
It would be useful more in finding out where they are, to use special tacks to see if one could tell the movements. There were always uses for maps when it comes to tracking rats.

Ulani smiled and fingered a small leather pouch that was hanging around her neck.
"I would imagine so," she replied with a nod. "And as Ulrich said, it's up to date. One of the ones made by Gion, actually."
Adonai paused in his playing and looked up at Cindy. "No p'ay?" he asked her, perplexity showing on his small face. "Cinee do som'fing diff'ent? In you no'booh?"
Perhaps she didn't want to play with his horses after all ...

Cindy giggled sheepishly, "It's been a long tme since I've played, so I'm not really good at it."
It was an odd way of putting it, no one could not be good a play she supposed, but not this type of play.

Donovan smirked at that, "Perfect, he's done a lot of travelling with Daemon. Knowing the land, it helps when tracking," he murmured.
He thought, he would need to put it in his bag, he would need to arm himself before leaving. Ask Cindy if she brought along any potions, she would probably offer once she found out he was going.

"Knowing the land always helps, even if you're just traveling," Ulani replied with a smile. "But you're right, it's very helpful for tracking and trapping."
She glanced out the window and added, "It looks like good weather for the next few days, at least, so that's one less worry. It's nearing storm season, though, so you may want to hurry your trip as much as you can."
Adonai giggled along with Cindy, though he didn't really understand why she was giggling in the first place. He didn't care, though, she was nice and that was all that mattered.
"Cinee know 'tory?" he asked her eagerly, dropping the horses that were in his hands. "Cinee can tell 'tory?"

Donovan frowned a bit, he recalled the storms around here, they weren't pleasant at all. Even though he was inside the house at the time, had it been that long?
"Then I'll arm up and be on my way as soon as the horse arrives," Donovan replied, "No point in delaying it, or testing my luck for that matter. Since I checked both mine and Cindy's bag, but someone could always come through the portal."

"A story?" Cindy asked in return and thought about it.
She read a lot of fairytales and stories, but she had never actually told one.
"I do know of a few.."

Adonai's eyes lit up and he sat cross-legged with his back against the couch, folding his hands in his lap. He made himself comfortable, then looked at Cindy as if expecting her to continue.
Ulani cast a sidewise glance at Donovan and nodded thoughtfully. "Yes ... you do tend to have trouble with stowaways, don't you?" she remarked.
She paused and smiled. "Ah, Ulrich is back with the horse," she told him. "Do you ride bareback or do you need a saddle? I'm sure we could find one for you somewhere ..."
She headed for the door and beckoned for him to follow.

Donovan followed, snatching his bag on the way out as he glanced at Cindy. She would be fine he thought to himself, besides she was a big girl.
"Saddle," he replied shortly.
Since that is what he was used to, he had tried bareback a few times, but he never was quite good at it. Though he had some wildier cousins whom preferred bareback.

Cindy considered this carefully, it had to be a good short story with a good ending.
"Once upon a time," she began trying to think of what she had read, "There was once a little angel girl who lived way up in the clouds."
Unfortunately not remembering any good decent fairytales she had to make it up.

Adonai blinked at Cindy curiously. "'As a an'el?" he interrupted her. He had never heard of an angel before, and the story was confusing him already.
Ulani thought long and hard, trying to think of where they might have a saddle. It had been a long ... very long time since they had used one of any sort, since both she and Ulrich preferred to ride bareback; but she thought she recalled something about one in the house where Beregond had been going to live.
"Follow me," she murmured to Donovan, seeing that Adonai was safely with Cindy. She trusted the girl to take care of him, and led Donovan out of the house and in the direction of the house nearby.

"Uhm..." Cindy mused, "An angel is a person with wings like me, but no tail."
Since she did have a bird's tail, kind of like a swallow or something. Since Cindy was part bird after all.

Donovan nodded as he followed Ulani out, he hoped they had a saddle. Since he didn't know when was their last need for a horse. He noticed the house and tried to remember if that was the one he and Jin stayed in that one night.

"Oh!" Adonai grinned. "'A buhdie peopo' live inna cwouds? Up inna sky?" He spread his arms like wings and flapped them a bit, his young face lit up with excitement. "Fwy! Fwy!" he giggled.
Ulani let herself into the house and headed down a long hallway to a storage room at the back of it (though, to be fair, most of the house was used for storage nowadays). Once there, she opened a large wooden chest, then knelt and pulled out a handsome leather elvish saddle. It was lighter than those that the humans used, and built for the comfort of both the horse and the rider. Being elvish, of course, it was inlaid with intricate natural designs and studded with small gems.
"I hope this is all right," she said worriedly as she straightened and turned to face Donovan. "I'm not sure if you would be used to this type of saddle ..."
