Storm and Starr waved, giggling. There were so many people here!
Elnara nodded and looked to Lore. "What do you think?" she asked him softly. "It's probably better to run into people sooner than later, and best with Nako with."
At least if the queen was there, she hoped that some of her less accepting brothers would be a little ... covert in their disdain.

Lin grinned from ear to ear seeing Sir Valdemar again, and why not? She liked the scholar, there was always something to do or to learn.
"These are my nephew and niece," Lin pointed, "That is Storm and that is Starr, and they are Elnara-sissy's kids. They all came to visit, Elnara and her family and Lore... well I guess Lore is the same thing, but they all here."

"I don't see why not," Lore replied, with all those guards they were at least in a semi public place so there shouldn't too much trouble, "It would be nice to look around as well."
Otherwise he feared he might get lost.

Elnara nodded and stood, then called for Silvrendir and Serenity to come and join them again.
"Where are we going, Mama?" Serenity asked, coming obediently.
"We're going to go on a tour," Elnara smiled, picking up Silvrendir and holding him in the crook of one arm, then taking Serenity's hand. "We're going to see the castle, and maybe see some of your uncles. Wouldn't you like that?"
Serenity looked a bit doubtful. "I met them already," she reminded her mother, "and they scared me." But maybe it wouldn't be so bad if Elnara and Lore were with her, she thought. Still, she reached for Lore's hand as well, just for some extra comfort.
Idhril climbed back up onto Lore's shoulder and grinned. "I hope they're all nice like the first one we saw!" she piped up, referring to Elrohir. "Was he our uncle, too, Mama?"
Elnara nodded, though she wasn't as enthusiastic as Idhril was. "Yes ... that was your uncle Elrohir."

Sir Valdemar was pleased. "Ah! Then she's returned at last! Wonderful!" He walked in a circle around Earendil, examining the children from all angles. "Angels, I imagine," he murmured to himself thoughtfully, "though different from Yue and Yukito and Kara ..."
Earendil chuckled. "Well if you want to see Ada-thêl, I think she's downstairs somewhere. But she's going to be here a while, I guess ... Besides, Lin wants to show these two the library."
Atalya rose as well and started leading the group towards the door. "If you'd like," she offered, "we can begin with the courtyard ... it's central, after alll, and I'm certain that Luthien will be there, and I know she was eager to see you again."

"My big brothers were that small when they were our age," she pointed to them.
By which she meant Yue and Yukito, since the two were adults when they first came here, so she wasn't surprise he thought them different. She wondered if Storm and Starr would be that big or if Starr would have a halo and double wings like Trisha.

Lore smiled as he petted Idhril on the head, "I hope so too."
He chuckled as he stood up from his seat, setting his glass down. Lore glanced at Elnara, taking her hand reassuringly. At least, they were going to meet hopefully someone who had waited for Elnara to come back first.

Elnara smiled and squeezed Lore's hand. "Luthien is Tinuviel's mother," she explained to him. "Ruel's wife. The two of them couldn't be more different ... Valar only know how they ended up together in the first place. Ruel, I think, may be the one who dislikes me best ... either he or his twin, Riordan. But Luthien ... is like Tinuviel, she accepts anyone and everyone."
"Uncle Yuki and Uncle Yue are big," Starr nodded, eyes wide. "Bigger than Mama, even!"
She paused. "But ... not so big as you, I think," she added hesitantly, looking at Sir Valdemar. "You're bigger."

"To be fair," Sir Valdemar offered, "your mother is quite short for our kind."
Earendil didn't add to that - he didn't remember her, really. He'd been so young when she had been there.
"I don't think you'll have to worry too much about Riordan," the queen commented softly, a look of pain crossing her face. "Not that he's changed ... he's just ... gone."

That had confused Lore, and he wondered if they had touched upon something bad. He looked a bit worriedly at Elnara, wondering what she would think, afterall... this was one of her brothers so...
He didn't dare ask, it wasn't his place to.

"Gone?" Elnara blinked, surprised. "Not ... dead?"
As fearful as she was of her brother, she still loved him as well.
"Really?" Storm questioned. "I always thought Mama was tall ..."
"Yeah," Starr agreed, confused. "Just Uncle Yuki and Uncle Yue are taller than her ..."

"No," the queen said hurriedly; then she smiled and relaxed a bit. "No. Not dead, though it might be preferable ... no, he has been cast out of this home, out of this family, and out of this city, to where he is unknown. We don't know why or how it happened, but he brought on himself the most dishonour that I have seen in my lifetime."
Her expression grew angry and stony, and she set her jaw.
"Well," Earendil chuckled, "I don't know how tall she is, but ... yes, we are generally a tall race."
"Anyways, you wanted to show them the library," Sir Valdemar nodded at Lin. "Is there anything in particular you would like to show them?"

"I don't know," Lin admitted.
She hadn't thought that far and she didn't know how good Storm and Starr's reading was. She knew they knew elvish, but she wasn't sure about reading. It was like asking Lin if she could read, she could... kind of. Not that she would understand what she read most of the time.
"It's just where I normally was when I was here for that long while."
Granted she was normally with him at the time.

"Nako," Elnara said softly, her brow furrowing in confusion, "you're worrying me ... what happened? Where is he? What did he do?"
Obviously it had to be something truly terrible ... but Elnara's opinion of what was truly terrible had changed somewhat during her time in Gaia. In general, she liked to believe that her values were still much the same as they had been when she had lived here, but there were things that she accepted now, though those here (or many of those here) didn't.

Sir Valdemar couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Well," he suggested, "why don't we show them that book that you liked so much? The one about the First Age, that you said your mother would like. I could show you something different with it, if you want to see something new."
Earendil blinked. He had no idea what book the old historian was talking about - but then, Lin had spent a lot of time with him when Earendil had been up on the mountaintop, training.
