Fury considers Kail's comment, then responds. "I shall do my best, but given my current track record, I make no promises." Perhaps we shoud pursue these hags, before they can set up an effective ambush. Has anyone discovered passage to the upper levels?"

"Fury, it's a risky idea, but what is your pet flew up the chimney to see where it leads. Maybe, once up there, it can find a way to the second floor, as long as the chimney doesn't lead straight to the roof." Perrian said.

*Djanni's ferocious snarls come down through the chimney. By now she has worked her way up into the column, and the sounds of her Shadow-Scythe slamming into the bricks above echo strangley down the flue."

"An interesting idea Perrian, but I think the chimney is having issues of it's own right now." Fury smirks, then moves to the chimney to check Djanni's progress. "How you doing up there? Find them yet, Djanni?"

*Djanni's response is an incoherrant series of snarls and the occasional blurred swear word in her own tongue; they are not triumphant snarls and sound most displeased. Puffs of soot trail down, dislodged by her violent activity.*

*Djanni soon finds herself with almost no elbo room and an apearent deadend, as the chimni is closed off in the same stones that it is made of. Tho strangely enuf she can feel a jentle cool breze that smells of the night air carres her face.
If the rest of you are still heading for the hall, Gerbo would be the first to see that the interior of the hall has chenged since the last time he attempted to leave the room. Mainly there are now a few doors along the walls, along with some small tables holding dusty vases with the ancient remains of flowers still whilting over their edges*
(So what are you all doing now? Are you still messing around in the front room or are you heading down the hall?)

While following Gerbo down the hall Luc looks into some of the pots, and looks around for anything unusual. "HEY GUYS! ...I found some dust!"

"Watch out Luc!"
Gerbo said in a somewhat jokingly manor.
"Those evil dust bunnies might be the minions of the Dust Hag!"
Slightly chuckling to himself for a moment, he peered at the first door on the left side of the wall.
"Well anyone with me on going in?"

"Yeah... We've got to start... somewhere...." Luc says while suspiciously eyeing a dust bunnie. Luc looks around to make sure no one is looking, and then stomps on it. "Whew. Ok lets go."

Kowsauni “I see, well you must be careful not to lose yourself the next time the insect hag makes her appearance, for I have no doubt she will come after you in particular…Whoa.” Kail’igen exclaims as the cat girl rushes behind him and curls up into a ball. He chuckles slightly to himself then turns to face her. He pats her gently on the head between the ears to try and calm her. “It’s ok, the danger has passed. Djanni is simply angry at the hags. But there is no reason for you to fear. I will make sure, as everyone else here, that you’ll come out of this alright. You don’t have to cower behind me. I can protect you better with standing beside me, with your fearsome claws ready to strike any opponent who might dare try to harm us.” "but i never fight, i hate it when peopel fight, its bad crying " just then she looks down and sees that her spirit mouse is rubbing aginst her leg " question mousey, what are you doing here question " she reaches down to pet it

Kail lets out a sigh. “I know but in some cases you don’t have a choice. We will have to fight to get out of here with our lives. Kail then turns his attention back to the rest of the people in the group. “Never the less, let us continue. The halls seem to be back to normal. Lets see if our key fits one of the new doors.” Kail’igen walks down the hallway until he reaches the first door, he jiggles the handle to see if it is locked and then inspects for a key hole.

*The first dore you come acros is not locked, and opens easily with a loud lingering crrreeeeeeeaak. Inside the room apears ot be a drawing room, compleet with a (normal) fireplace small table with 4 chairs and a few high backed armchairs. The walls are coverd by tall book shelfs full of old dusty books. The fire place and candles in the room are unlit, also there is a verry old shandeleir hanging above the table in the middle of the room and a couch by the windows (whitch are borded up like the others).*
(What do you all do?)

Gerbo, using almost none of his magical potential at all, quickly summoned a small flame to his hand and shot it into the fireplace to light up the room.
"Perhaps that will shine some light on this mystery..."
Gerbo said, trying his hardest not to start laughing, to the point of letting out a couple of snorts and a cough or two.

Fury heads back to the original chimney, and calls up to Djanni, "Hey! Calm down and get back here! We found some doors that might lead us where we need to go. Quit playing Santa and let's go! He then steps back, waiting for Djanni to appear.
