Haruki was on cloud nine.
Liliana did push him away, or yell for help or anything like that that could have ruined him.
Instead she kissed him back! She must have felt the same.
What ever it was that go into him that day he was starting to like it. He liked it even more after he saw the look in Liliana sparking eyes.
He jumped up and ruffled the leather wings on his back, a wide grin spread across his face.
He chased after her, he was bounding on air.

Liliana was very happy to see that Haruki was close behind her.
Almost to their leafy bed, Liliana took her speed down a notch.
Finally letting Uki catch up to her, she slowed to a stop.
He seemed simply radiant as he bounced towards her as if on his tippy-toes, grinning from ear-to-ear.
"This night couldn't be any more perfect," she thought.

Haruki slowed down when he got close to Liliana.
Then he stopped where he was, a few feet away from her and there he stayed.
He just wanted to beable to look at her, watch her for a bit.
"Want help with that ribbon?" He asked after a warm smile.

As if automatic, Liliana's eyes caught Uki's and they sat in that deep hypnotising stare for a few minutes.
Finally taking action to his question, she got real close to his mouth,
popped up her nose, and let the ribbon fall on the top of his.
Then she backed up into a sitting position and said,
"Thanks!" with a returning smile.
Still gazing directly into his soul grey eyes, she leaned back closer to him and kissed him again;
not too quickly, not too slow.

Haruki was sure his fur must be turning red by now. Good thing for him it's impposible.
He felt like he grew another set of wings in his belly and they where fluttering around to get free.
The ribbon finely slid off his muzzle and thats when he broke the kiss.
He bent down to pick it up with his mouth. He held the red ribbon to her ear and used the middle part of his wings, the part that was like thumbs to tie it back on.
"There all better." He smiled.

Liliana blushed and continued to smile as Haruki retied the ribbon near her ear.
Looking up at the dark sky, she figured it must be getting close to bedtime now.
The butterflies and other luminous creatures still fluttered around the falls.
However, they started to dissepate more and more until they sky was greater occupied by different nighttime flyers, instead.
Thinking that their adventure had been a pretty good way to end the day,
Liliana layed down in the pile of leaves, leaving plenty of room for Haruki to lay beside her.

Haruki looked to the bed of leads and grass.
Something in him made him want to lay beside her and sleep but he still didn't want to over spet some sort of line.
So the brown and white minya sat down on the grass beside her for now, and watched as the stars started to come out to play.

Liliana did not take offense when Haruki lay in the grass instead.
She figured he had begun deeply thinking and evaluating what had happened that night
and didn't want to accidently and suddenly make her uncomfortable.
Laying her head down on her paws, Liliana gently closed her eyes, but did not fall asleep.
Even though she was tired, something inside her just wouldn't let her sleep.
Was it her excitement?
Her happiness?
Her nerves?
She wasn't quite sure...
While resting her eyes, though, she kept her ears alert and payed close attention to the surrounding sounds.
Every now and then she peeked an eye open and glanced at Uki.
Liliana was making sure he was still there, but also because it sent a wave of tinglies through her body,
that brought a grin to her face every time.

Haruki stayed awake, watching the stars as they moved through the sky on their slow journey.
He told Liliana he would protect her dreams.
He would look over her every now and then to look at something beautiful. Once or twice he swore he saw her eyes open.
His puffy tail end was covering his front paws to help them keep warm. His ears twitched to the nights song.
Again he watched the stars on their journey, He saw a shooting star streak across the sky and had to make a wish. I wish Lily all the happiness in the world. No matter what comes her way....

During one of Liliana's quick glances in Haruki's direction, he looked in her direction and she was sure she had been caught.
Closing her eyes tightly, she waited for him to say something, but he did not.
Maybe she had not been caught afterall, she thought to herself.
Peeking open one eye very slightly, she checked to see if he was still looking, but he was not.
Uki was staring into the sky as if he was highly amused, and seemed to be muttering something under his breath.
Though, not wanting to give herself away again, she quickly shut her eyes again.
The minute she shut her eyes, a strange magical feeling went through her body; all the way from the tip of her nose to the swirly on her tail.
She suddenly thought that whatever Haruki had muttered under his breath was the cause of this, but quickly shook that idea out, for she had no idea what he had even said, at all.
Just like the tinglies, Liliana didn't care much though, because she liked the feeling.
Before Liliana finally starting to drift off to sleep, she took it within herself to promise not only herself, but also Uki, that no matter what she would always be there.
She silently promised that nothing in this world could bring more happiness to her heart, than (even just the thought of) being with him.

Haruki yawned and shivered as he felt a shiver roll down his spine. It caused his wings to ruffle on his back.
He looked to Liliana and smiled at the thought of his wish.
He layed down feeling a bit strange but oddly warm and happy for no real reason. He took one last look at Liliana before sleep took him.
He slept lightly that night to be a better protector.

The minute Liliana's head hit the ground, and her eyes completely closed, she was out.
She had never been in such a deep sleep before.
It was almost like she had absolutely no reason to wake up; no reason to be wary of her surroundings.
In her mind, she was at home; nothing could be safer than being with Haruki.
Finally, though, at sometime around noon, Liliana's eyes fluttered open.
With a huge yawn, she stretched out as far as she could.
Not realizing she had moved over right next to Uki during the night, she accidently tapped him with her tail.
"Oops!" she whispered, while trying to carefully reposition herself so that she didn't wake him.
Sitting upright, she looked over at "her" nearby beauty, and smiled at his cuteness when he slept.
She lay there for awhile, just observing the environment around the falls again; this time in the bright sunlight.
It was still incredibly gorgeous!

Haruki was on his side, legs stretched out and a wing over his face to hide his eyes from the sun shine that beckoned him to get up.
He was a light sleeper that night and he woke up when Liliana started to move.
He did say anything just yet, he just layed there with his eyes open and slid the wing off his face.
"Cold last night?"

Looking at Haruki when he spoke, Liliana lovingly replied, "Not with you next to me."
Then she paused before adding, "Were you cold?"

Haruki sat up and stretched. "Not with such a warm heart behind me." He said with out looking at her. He was grinning to him self.
His ears twitched to the sounds of tiny feet moving around the base of the tree to they left.
"So you want meat this lunch?"
