The green moth in the queen of heart's hand was not unnoticed by a tall blond who watched from the dance floor. The woman's eyes sparked crimson briefly. Ora watched as the hedges grew thicker, recognizing the black thorns she occasionaly called upon herself.
It was coming close, very close.

Eulalia Danae The other cloaked girl (sans moth broach) slipped away from the Goddess and the others. The bright lights suddenly became a bit much for her senses, giving her a small headache. She moved past the punch fountain, past the dancers, past the music and into the darker shade of the hedge maze. As she cleared the lights and noise she let out a long sigh, and tipped back her hood. She clattered the mask to the ground, her face enjoying the cool breeze. She closed her golden eyes for a moment, but the wounds on her back and arms burned like the sun on her homeworld, and would not let her relax. Sahira walked deeper into the maze, and almost smiled at the shadows dancing between the foliage and the ground. There was always something peaceful and beautiful about the shadows, and midnight walks. The peace was partially shattered as she caught something from the corner of her eye. It would have seemed innocent enough to most who viewed it, but she noted the shadows grow darker around the hedges. A small chill went up her spine, and she turned to leave the maze, only to find it had readjusted itself, and she was lost. Abruptly, the Baroness and the man with her stand together and follow Sahira into the maze. They were soon quite lost themselves, but they did not stop walking, sharp strides matching exactly under their heavy court dress. The man's hands twitched.

Acelr Eulalia Danae Ruby let out a loud "ooooh," always one to thoroughly enjoy a show, so long as it was sparkly and interesting enough. She kept her attention on the spiraling clubs, occasionaly munching on pomegranates, and gently kicking her feet back and forth on the bench. The music and lights were begining to make her a bit light headed, but Ruby paid no attention to it, enjoying the feeling as much as she did twirling in rapid circles. "Madam." The clubs stopped completely, the Knave catching each one as it came down with a flourish and ending the whole thing in a signaturely ornate bow. During this, the Knave spoke urgently, "Be not lulled, queen. You are unmasked, and soon the guests shall notice. Watch the traps of foreign kind..." The Knave notched all the clubs in a belt at the waist and did one standing flip for her before walking away on his or her or its hands like a jester. Ruby looked at him curiously, and was about to say she wasn't a queen, she was a goddess, but he was already walking away...or handstanding away. "I'll be sure to do so." She called out to the knave, falling back into giggles as he left.

Blitz decided he had had enough of the annoying two and disappeared (literally) into the hedge maze after the cloaked girl.

Eulalia Danae In the background against a shaded wall, what looked to be a queen of clubs, glared over the surrounding guests. Her full mask covered the look of disgust, but the heat of it could be felt by anyone who glanced her direction. Further hidden at the gates of the park stood the queen of spades, watching her plan run smoothly. Her long black hair reflected the lights, her face mask a simple white and black. The queen's dress was straight, and plain black, with a single white spade across the chest. Occasionaly a green moth dropped from fluttering at a lamplight, to land on her shoulder, and dissapear soon after. The Knave continued walking on hands instead of feet all the way up to the apparent Queen of Clubs. Looking up at her angry face for that position, the Knave winked through the darkness. "May I serve my Queen?" The Knave seemed determined to see the part through to the hilt. Knowing who the Queen was, that may have been literally...

Burning Disaster Blitz decided he had had enough of the annoying two and disappeared (literally) into the hedge maze after the cloaked girl. Casper looked disappointed. "Well," he said, turning to the other Blitz, "Looks like it's just you and me now, pal! Two villains against the world."

Having spotted Ruby's tell-tale slip, Batman realize that someone seemed to be missing. Scanning the crowd revealed no sign, so Batman headed toward the maze, certain the missing one would be there.

As the Baroness and the man entered the Hedge maze, the maze itself adjusted, keeping all groups seperated by walls, though they could hear each other from the other side.
The same happened with Blitz as he entered, unless he's using some funky power to get around it.
Sahira listened, her ears catching the sounds of the others on opposite sides of the wall. "Hello? Who's there?"

Spritekin ArynChris The Pilot looked around curiously in the same direction. "Something up?" The Knight glances back to the Pilot. "....Im afraid I am not quite sure yet but something doesnt feel quite right, I can feel it in my sca..Bones" he says nodding. Turning back to the Pilot he simply smiles under the steel face gaurd. "But for now....I think it that it would be best to be casual." He says nodding. "and I am rather surprised you've never heard of the land of Draconia or me. Im quite a legend around there Ill have you know!" he lies. The Pilot shrugged. "But I bet you never heard of me, either," she replied calmly. "I noticed you aren't too impressed. Not everyone can change history, you know!"

Spritekin Miran simply smiles and nods. "Indeed. Although if you should run into Pious once more, do give her my regards and that I wish to speak with her again, Id say so myself but I have had my hands and wings full." he says nodding but stops a moment. "......Thats interesting." he says looking around. The Butterfly merely nodded. "She already knows. What's interesting? That the lights changed? Probably just a spell or something." She shrugged it off nonchalantly, like it meant nothing to her.

The Queen of Clubs voice fell like dark sand from her mouth. "Don't mistake me for my sister, she may be inclined to chop off your head, but I'd prefer to see your crushed body torn into four quarters and spread across the ground like butter on toast."

"Now changing the present, thats something difficult!" he says nodding but jokingly. In truth changing the past was indeed a very impressive feat....but had too many risks to it in his own opinion.

"Ahh, yes... How did we ever get out of that one?" "I think I cut through brambles until that Bird goddess fellow got there..." They laughed together in memory of times well-spent, but it had a hard edge of wariness that felt completely natural to them. They had rarely laughed together any other way.
They did not hear Sahira yet.
