((half demon half vampire, sorry can't think of anything else))
Keira turned and looked at her, a flash of anger passed threw her eyes as she nodded, not even caring what she had said. She moved to the bar and waited for a bar tender. Her mind went blank as she searched the room for any familiar faces.

Her proverbial hackles rose as she watched the woman disappear into the crowd again. Her gaze narrowed, "Pissy much?" She murmered beneath her breath and sighed, letting her indignation go and let the music slide over her. If people wanted to walk around with sticks up their asses, that wasn't her problem, dancing was definitely a good idea...
Copper appeared in front of Keira, "What can I get you?" She asked, coppery eyes flicking over Keira in a quick assesement before concentrating on the woman's order.

"Something heavy." Keira frowned at th sight of the glance and then continued on, "A scotch should do." She scratched her head and nodded, agreeing with herself and sitting down. If she couldn't find someone now, drowned out her sarrows wouldn't be such a bad plan, even if it did come to a bad outcome afterward. She needed this.

Copper tilted her head to the side and looked thoughtful for a moment before turning and leaving her for a moment. She came back with a glass filled with a deep red amber liquid, "This isn't scotch, it's something heavier, Dragon's Blood. It'll take care of you. If you don't like it then it's on me and I'll get you that scotch. Careful, though, it's dangerous to drink this stuff to fast, it'll blow your head off. I'm not kidding." Copper then nodded curtly and left Keira to her--apparantly--incendiary drink.

Keria frowned, her hands slid around the drink. The liquid swayed in the glass as she lifted it to her lips and took a small drink. Setting it down quickly and taking a few etra swallows, she was right it was heavier. A sly smile played across her face as she looked back across the crowd. She just needed to forget about what Bell said and things would be fine. With that she took another drink of the dragons blood and let the thoughts of her worries melt away. She'd be fine. "Wait..ress." Keria turned around in her chair after she had finished and set the glass down, "Thanks." She gave her a warm smile, her head was now throbbing. She hadn't drank in a long time, and this wasn't going to be doing her any good later on, "Ho-how much do I o-owe you?"

[Sorry guys about my insane absence. Apparenty my vacation wasn't as peaceful as I wanted it to be, but...I'm back again! lol Anyway, I should probably also apologize for BDG as well for she is having some major life issues she needs to work out, but I'll be posting for her so this weird standstill doesn't continue okay? Okay, let's begin shall we?]
"Perhaps..." Vincent replied, frowning slightly as the howls faded away, "It was nice to have nothing but ordinary work to do, and the death toll has been lower than I've ever seen it now that the humans within Signet City are not in denial about the supernatural. But good times must end at one point...Even when we don't want it to." he looked at Merlin and smiled, the bit of sadness in his eyes tainting it slightly.
The smiled faded just as the sound of knocking could be heard. It was a soft knock, as if giving them the option of not answering before footsteps were heard coming inside Merlin's office, "Sounds like we have company..." --
Tyran looked over at Goldie curiously before walking back towards the bed, "You should see the look on your face. It's very...intersting." he chuckled lightly, allowing a glimmer of the old Tyran to show forth in his smile before saying, "What are you thinking about?"
--
Raziel stopped infront of her quarters just as she asked the question, but made no moe to open the doors. What a strange question. Why would she care? He thought before turning to face her, "I don't mind Lady Daystar if that is what you wish...although I do not understand."
Neither did Salen understand as he was forced to fall on all fours before Troden and the rest of leaders. He was no longer a Lotus or even a part of the new Soul Transfer Unit. He was in exile and ordered to be killed on sight...he was useless to them. Or so he thought.
Troden looked on quietly before lifting his hand and letting five strands of what appeared to be black mist slide from them and slither towards Salen. Amateru and Rasuki fell back with smirks on their face as the bonds were replaced by the black mist, "There is no point in keep you tied in your condition, but my magic should be sufficient to keep you docile until I need your strength to return." he said, walking over to Salen and lifting him up almost effortlessly by the neck and placing him roughly upon a nearby chair.
"Troden, what is this?" Forenthiel asked as she looked over at Salen, "We do not have time to deal with this prisoner or your games."
"Oh but that is where you are wrong My Lady," Troden answered as he stood near Salen, "He is not a prisoner at all, but a dear friend of ours for you see, he was once the Lotus Leader's second-in-command and no doubt still has connections within the STU because of it." he looked down at Salen, allowing a smallest hint of a smile to show as he said, "He is also the reason why all of the Ten are in the weakened state that they are in now....isn't that right Salen?" the man sad nothing, but his face answered for him, "That was a great help to our cause Salen, and with your help, that very cause will become a reality."
Salen looked up at Troden slowly, his brown eyes faded but slowly regaining their intensity as he said, "I will never betray Lina or the others. Not again."
Troden chuckled before saying, "You betrayed your own family by siding with her Salen Az'il, but they want you back. You are their true heir and not Raziel. Retrieve some of the honor you have lost by coming back into the fold and with those who never truly left your side...unlike the Lotus. Unlike Lina." his dark gaze forcing Salen to keep looking into them, "I can see that you only regret betraying the Lotus, but not the Ten. You still want them gone from the world...don't you..."
Salen could fell him slipping into his mind, and helplessly watched as visions of the Lotus flashed in his mind...and Lina. By helping us you will not only free her of the Ten's binds, but also give you a chance to redeem yourself to your family. Become Salen Az'il again. Become what you were meant to be.
"No..."
I'll just get rid of Remus for you and that little liar of a son. It'll be simple, I'll just have Arachneim send his little eight-legged friends towards the Asanti Manor and end it all if you don't cooperate...and you know it can and will be done.
"I can't..."
You can and you will.
"Alright...just leave them be."
Troden finally released his hold on Salen and sat down beside Isabelle with a small smirk upon his face, "As long as they stay out of my plans, their safety is assured."
Salen closed his eyes and lowered his head, "What do you want me to do?"
"Use those connections of yours and get nto their plans of course." Troden replied, "The rest you and your blade know very well."

With a bright flash of purple light, the portal finally closed. Lodae collapsed in a heap with Matrix sitting atop him. Karrot and Torrent finished cleaning up the last few demons and creatures who came through the portal. Than the dissolved thier giant forms and Karrot went over to thank to the man that helped them. (As Well as apologize for not being able to put him back where he came from right away) This was, of course, When Karrot recognized the armor, but could not be totally sure yet. He walked over and cleared the stone armor of the man on the ground, and then procedded to poke him in the stomach, waiting for proof that the man wasn't dead.

Copperhood scowled, Waitress? She turned and blinked at Kiera, there was smoke coming out of her ears. She grimaced; she drank it too fast. Oh well, not fast enough, apparantly since her head was still intact. Shaking her head, she rattled off the price, "You want a little water, maybe? I wouldn't be surprised if your throat is burning." She kept her smile and nodded before lifting both hands and beginning a slow examination of his face, with her finger pads. Her fingers started at his eyes, her thumbs, moving over the lids as he reflexively closed them, gently brushing over them and his eye brows, then his head, exploring his hair line, then his temples, sliding down to his cheeks, tracing the bone structure there, to the shell of his ears, down to their lobes. His nose came next, the bridge and rim of the nostrils, then his chin. Her last destination was his lips, she traced around them, her movements slower than before before dropping her hands and tilting her head, "A well formed male. Are the woman of this world tossing themselves at you?" She asked, amusement flavoring her voice. Her expression faltered for a moment as the hairs on the back of her neck rose suddenly. She wasn't clear why but she managed to keep most of her startlement off her face and her breathing even. Goldie smiled, "I was talking to my brother, actually. He wanted to come over here and disembowel you. I can't be having that, now that I've gotten you back again." Swinging her legs up she was able to stand, a little wobbily but she managed, "Now that you're here, I have no clue what to do with you!" She admitted with a small laugh.

((I too apologize for not posting. Life is a handful. I don't have any excuses other than that.))Quinn knew his Teacher well. It had only been fifty years since their training had begun, but in such a short time he had learned so much. And he could tell when Ashra was hiding something. He could tell when something was bothering Ashra, despite the Child Leader's secretiveness. This time it was particularly grave, for never before had Ashra been forced to leave the Balancing to his newly acquired Apprentice.
Ashra would not be disappointed.
As Ashra slowed his work, the strings of life slowly coming to a halt, Quinn readied himself by drawing his wand. When Ashra's movements ceased, Quinn's began. Quinn's movements were artful, graceful, and had a strange sense of purity to them. It was almost as if Quinn was...conducting. Yes. It was if he was conducting some kind of an Orchestra. For as Quinn's wand moved throughout the air, the Strings of Life's flow appeared and disappeared. They lit up in a grand array of colors creating a spectacular show of colors. There was no sound...just color. And yet, if you listened closely, you could almost hear the music.---------- "I know that magic..." Mira's eyes fluttered open, her gaze steadfast on the door, "He's working again. I can hear the song he plays..."
Stefan stopped strumming the cords of his instrument, his eyes also fixated upon the exit. He asked, "What do we do? We have yet to formally meet those who gave us a place to rest. It would be rude to leave now."
"Then we go and introduce ourselves." Mira was up and half way our the door before she completed the thought. Feeling out the auras in the building, she found the two that were most familiar to her: The Auras of Remus and Riken Sec. She wanted to introduce herself before she dashed off to find her brother. And who knew...maybe the new faces could help her do exactly that.

Artanis grunted as he was poked and rubbed his stomach before realizing that his armor wasn't on him at the moment. He fully opened his eyes and blinked them a couple times to get his vision properly back. Karrot was the first one he spotted. "You look older than when we last met... Hasn't it only been a few years?"

"Artanis? It is you! A few years perhaps for you but I've been in this millenia for 50 years... speaking of which, I may need some time to return you, and you need to no freak out when I tell you that we are currently six thousand years from where that spell accidentally picked you up..." Torrent nudged him in the gut and said, "My name is Torrent Gaaron, I am Karrot's older brother. Those two on the ground behind you are Lodae and Shock Matrix, whose combined powers of overloaded electrical energy and powerful magic brought you here in the first place. This has never happened before so we are not sure how long it will take for them to recover or if they can send you back at all. I invite you to stay here until that time, What say you?" Karrot rubbed his gut and muttered, "Just because he's from the past doesn't mean you need to talk like that.....

The bonds faded away as Troden spoke once again, "Rasuki, Amateru, bring our dear friend to his old home. I am sure his family can't wait too see him again." he then looked calmly at Forenthiel and the other allies, "Fate must be on our side my friends. Let us not waste what the Powers that Be have given us."
Raziel chuckled at that and opened his mouth to reply, but her actions stopped him. Her expressions had changed for only a few moments...how odd...
He stiffened slightly as Troden's voice unexpected entered his mind, Raziel, I have another assignment for you once you have finished. The time of my sister's rule must shortened if our cause is to move forward. Activate the spell you placed among her guards on your last visit and keep her trapped within those chambers until I return... And your dear brother should be on his way. Reunite him with others, I am sure you all have much to talk about... Raziel closed his eyes and grinned as he replied, With pleasure.
A few moments later, Raziel moved to open the entrance to Daystar's chambers, "I must go soon, but I will be glad to give you a tour of your room before you do." his voice was as polite as ever, masking the darker emotions boiling within him from Troden's recent message. Salen was back and most likely as miserable as ever...
Excellent.
Kanna closed her eyes before finally standing up, her fans opening slowly as she did so, "Aster, I must go. Tell King Ranier that I apologize, but I cannot wait much longer. Troden is already on the move...I must the rest of the family of his plans. Perhaps we can stop him in time." she raised the fans slowly as a gust of air circled her and before any damamge was done, carried her back to the Rajen Base.
As soon as she landed, several arms pinned her to the floor and took possession of her fans. She cried out as her kimono was ripped from her and sheets were wrapped haphazardly around her body in its place. Who dared atack her in her own chambers?! Her eyes moved wildly about, trying to connect arms with bodies, all she could see was the empty hallway where guards should have been...
The guards...betrayed me?!
Aster! Don't- Her warning was cut off as she was struck from behind, leaving her to only see the darkness now within her mind.

Salen slowly stood up as the twins did as they were ordered, stiffening just a little when their laughter rang throughout the room. This was it. The ultimate moment of defeat. I stayed away from the Sulla and my family for so long and in one moment I am a part of them once again...I truly have hit the bottom...
A flash of red filled his eyes, fading away only to show the all too familiar walls of the Sulla stronghold surrounding him, "I don't think we have to give you the tour of the place," Amateru said as the twins released him, "Seeing that you're supposed to be very intimate with these surroundings."
Rasuki smirked and shook her head, "Now now brother, be nice to the poor man. It isn't everyday that a traitor gets to betray those he actually cares about twice.."
Salen didn't reply, but merely began to walk towards the hall closest to them, one of the many walkways that would take him to the Az'il Chambers. He couldn't be angry by their taunts, no matter how much he wished he could. They were right afterall. He was an Az'il a willing pawn for the Sulla's and the fact that he was back here once again proves that.
As he entered the hallway, the sound of a male's voice stopped him in his tracks. The voice was deep and filled with a politeness that cleverly hid the darker feelings within it...something only one Az'il had ever used to perfection...
"It has been a long time hasn't it Raziel," Salen's voice carried itself down the hall as he walked towards the two figures slowly revealing themselves with each step, "It must be for me to see you with anyone other than yourself. Mind introducing me to the lady or must I wait for you to get permission from Troden first?" made sure to stiffen the bite he wished to give those words, turning into a jest, but he was sure his younger brother had gotten the hint.
--
Tyran looked shocked for a moment before shaking his head and letting out a chuckle, "I am just glad he isn't going to sick Vajra on me. His 'adoration' was even worse than Dorien's anger if I remember correctly." he replied with a light shudder before offering her his arm, "How about we figure things out after attempt to get back on your brother's good graces, hmm?"
Speaking of good graces, it would probably take even longer than an eternity for Tyran or Kari to get anywhere near Dorien's good graces...
A growl echoed through the corridor as the Leader entered the castle with a small army of advisors and guards following him, Tyran left without my permission, completely disreguarding what he was ordered to do, and yet you are still walking near me... Get out my sight and find him! the guards immediately left, giving the order for the Trackers to move out as they did so, I'll give you all one week. If you do not find him by then, you better pray I do not...
The advisors looked nervously at each other for a moment before one spoke up, "Excuse me my Lord, but the servants have also reported seeing the princess Kari disappearing in the direction of the forest..."
Dorien stopped and looked at each of them silently, letting them see the inner rage about to be released upon them. The advisors wisely faded from sight. Dorien growled once again and moved on.
--
Ashra looked on silently as Quinn took over and noted the larger and smaller differences between their techiniques, most of which being from experience more than anything else. He knew very well that every Balancer's ability to manipulate Life's Flow would be different from their master's, but to see Quinn's abilities acting without aid was indeed surprising. He was a fast learner and clearly enjoyed learning new ways of magic, and he showed all of this with each movement of his wand and body. His speed needed a bit of work, but his precision made up for it.
The child Leader sighed, his eyes closing as a smiled crossed his face, "The weaver has taught the conductor how to play it seems..." he murmured before looking up once again, "And the conductor has learned well."
He looked towards the door just as the footsteps Milan and the others were heard, "But it is time for you to learn what it is like to be a part of the decisions you helped others to make. You will be going with the STU to find the vessels. Whether you will actually be helping them or their enemies all depends upon the way Life will flow. This is a lesson I could never truly teach you for it is through experience that will help you choose what you manipulate wisely."
Ashra finally returned his gaze to Quinn as the footsteps came closer, "Are you ready to take such a step on your own and understand the events soon to come?"

Merlin was hugging her middle, her expression grim. Dark red eyes flickered to the shadowed corner and, as if called, a form pulled itself from the shadows and moved to kneel at her feet. She stared down at the armored furred head of her shadow cat guard. She didn't say anything outloud but the cat nodded once, stood and backed up before disappearing. Seven shadow guard cats abruptly appeared in the Rajen base, three on either side and behind Lina, "If Troden is behind that sound, then Lina is in trouble." She murmered aloud.Magnolia's head jerked up and she was moving before her brain could catch up with her. Dorien was finally back and he was angry. She sighed, a long suffering sound. She nearly collided with him has he came around the corner and instead of bouncing off, she wrapped her arms around his waist and hung on, sucessfully stopping his forward progress, There you are! I was beginning to worry. She murmered in his mind, How did the meeting go?Kaz appeared an instant later, slamming hard into one guards, stricking him in a systematic manner that made his muscles sieze so that he fell over ineffectually. She was moving onto the next one before the first one fell, ducking a blow, delivering one that broke his kneecap, when he fell, she snapped his neck. Another guard was incinerated on the spot and Ember landed a moment later, wild red hair swirling around her face, gold eyes glowing dangerously, "Grab her." She snapped. Kaz scooped up the unconcious Kanna as if she weighed nothing at all and in a swirl of flame the three women disappeared. Kaz entered Aster's sick room, "You were right." Aster blinked and frowned, "About what? What happened, why aren't you tailing Kanna?!" Kaz took a step back, fear flashing behind her eyes, "Peace, my lord, she is here. You didn't know? She was attacked, I thought you told us to guard her because you knew something would happen." Aster made an effort to sit up and when Kaz tried to help him he snarled at her viciously, making her jump, "I didn't know but I suspected. I would have never imagined something happening so quickly." He growled, cursing his weakness. "She is fine, my Lord, she was knocked out, the healer is looking at her, we'll have her brought in once she wakes." Kaz assured him. "So stop your belly aching, and lay down to get well. You have avenging to do." Ember entered the room, glaring at her superior. Aster's face whitened in his rage but he finally sighed and flopped back over. "Good, we'll see you soon." Ember grabbed Kaz and they left. Daystar frowned now, "Is everything alright?" She asked, "Yes, it would be helpful if you could give me a short tour....has there been trouble?" She asked, then abruptly stiffened at the new voice. She felt a bit like a string on an instrument soundly thrummed. She was left standing rather inert in Raziel's grip. ((small edit)) Goldie chuckled and stretched, her garb shifting to a white baby tee and black jeans with a gold design on the left pant leg. It looked vaguely like a dragon, her shoes were also black with a simlar insignia on them as well, "You aren't planning on sacraficing yourself again, are you? And as for Vajra, he's....taken off again, best not mention him right now, Ama is kinda sore about it."

"Everything is fine my Lady, I just need to finish up a few things for Lord Troden," Raziel replied, turning slightly as Salen spoke, "And it seems he has sent a servant to help you in my place," he murmured before speaking up, "Lady Daystar, the man who has just spoken is Salen Az'il, my elder brother. He will be taking my place as your guide, so do not be startled if someone else takes your arm." he finished reassuringly as he looked at his brother in the eye, Do not act as if you are not a traitor dear brother. Troden may not have tortured you physically, but I assure you that I will if you so much as think about destroying his plans. As Salen came closer, he placed Daystar's hand upon Salen's own, "Salen won't lead you astray my Lady...it would dishonor him." he laughed lightly at that before disappearing only to reappear within Lady Kanna's Chambers.
He looked around silently at the broken bodies and ashes littered about, "She must have been saved..." a calm smile slowly formed into a sinister grin as he saw the fans and Kanna's black kimono lying near the pool, "But atleast those pawns took away what was needed before they died." he then carefully placed the fans within the kimono and began to walk out, "With Kanna's weapons and spiritual medium now in Troden's possession, it will be all too easy for him to take control of the family while she is in hiding..."
Your plan is moving along perfectly, my Lord.
Excellent. Troden replied, Place the shield around the stronghold once again. Now that our little spy is in hiding and Salen is in my hands, I don't anymore unwanted visitors. Tomorrow is the beginning of the end for the Ten and their allies, and you will be rewarded will for participating in their demise.
I will have Lina's life?
Of course.
Thank you my Lord, your generosity knows no bounds...
