I last bought the book, Just Listen. It was written by Sarah Dessen, and I'm pretty much almost done with it. It's a real page-turner so far.

The Hobbit (I know I probably should have bought this one before, but I wanted to wait to find a hardcover one with Toliken's personal/orginal cover design [does that mean I'm crazy?] )

I bought a book on caligraphy. Thought I might do some self-learning on it. Nice summer project and all. It's a very good book, pictures of the different techniques and all.
The other most recent buy for me was Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. It's one of my favorite books. 3nodding

-[[Take a little bit of time everyday to reflect on bits and pieces of life. Relax and view life to its max.]]-
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It's required summer reading. All 1200 pages of it. *gonk* The Penguin classics version, mind you. However, the book was actually really, really good. A lot more in depth of characters than I would have thought. And the mystery wasn't lame! =o

I recently ordered off Amazon all of the Hungry City Chronicles series. I've already read all of them except for the last one; I wanted copies of all the books because I love them so much. I also ordered the first book of the Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Amulet of Samarkand. Again ,I bought that one because I loved it so much and wanted to own it. I also preordered Tamora Pierce's newest one, Terrier. None of the books have arrived, and I can't wait until they do.

I'm planning on buying Ptolemy's Gate, that's the third in the Bartimaeus collection. Other than that I've been really into the Shopaholic series. I hope that doesn't make me sound shallow or anything.
