Somehow he had wondered into what appears to be the cafeteria, searching for someone that could lead him to the dorms. Noticing a girl with wet clothes and dirt on her, he makes his way towards her. "Hello, can you help me find the dorms, I seem to be lost?" He had a happy-go-lucky grin on his face.

((Sorry everyone. I was working at the pet adoption booth all weekend and my AP homework is piling up like no tomorrow. I've jumped a head on the work, so I should be good for a week or so.))

Sonja turned her head glancing every which way, although she could in no way see anything her ears were taking in the silence of the morning. But she wished her ears could tell her if there was a clinic of some sort nearby. NOw that she thought about she wondered if they even had a clinic, surely anyone would think there was one, what with explosions, chemicals, and gunfire going off about every 10 seconds. Sadly she hadn't run across it yet. She let out a groan and finally gave a sigh giving in to the fact she'd have to resort to transmuting her own ice. She pulled out her map from her pocket which she hadn't found any use for until now, pulling up her sleeve she tapped it gently against the second leather bracelet on her right and felt as the fibers drew together in their new paper cup shape, using some fibers from her fingernails to harden the shape. And walking as though she had rehearsed it, she headed over to the water fountain and filled up the makeshift cup about 3 cm from the brim. Tapping the now full cup to the first symbol on her left arm, a light shimmered and a faint noise cracked as the water's molecules slowed and the air around her arm decreased dramatically. The paper cup shortly followed in the change encasing it's new contents by forming a new structure. It wasn't very secure but the little bag now holding the clump of ice would sufice until she snaged a cloth napkin or soemthing from breakfast. Using some torn hair ribbons from her pocket jacket pocket, which she had been meaning to throw away now for months, now bound two sepearate ice packs on the palms of both of her hands that now hung heavily to her side.

She hated having to actually use alchemy for such simple tasks, but it did improve her abilities to preform it. Sonja believed alchemy should be used for science and nothing more, not for fighting, or for the sake of being lazy, but she was going against her better judgement today. She was tired and now just a tad bit cranky from her own stupidity of falling this morning, plus it was a new enviorment, she'd have to learn the flow of things to get better, and it seemed everyone here, or atleast almost everyone used alchemy on a daily basis. She might as well try, despite how much she hated it, honestly she was just trying to justify her defiance in her own beliefs. A growl from her stomach was the only thing that drew her back to her own mind. "right." she mummbled and headed down the stairwell toward the main lobby. "I was going to go get breakfast." She said rather plainly as though she seemed to forget the fact that she had to eat to survive. She was really out if it this morning and she hoped she'd be more awake once she got used to this place a little more.

Yuuki's stomach slightly grumbled. She checked her watch. "Time to eat, hurray. I wonder where the cafeteria is, the school is pretty big. I knew I should have taken a map when I had the chance." Yuuki kept on walking down the halls, hoping to wander up the cafeteria. "So Math classes are here, Science there, and...a janitor's closet there...Don't think I'll need that. Ah, here it is." Yuuki finally walked up towards what hopefully appeared to be a cafeteria.

Alex was already inside the school in his quest for vanyel. He decided to go to the cafeteria since he was very hungry. The man had a horrible habit of forgetting to eat. Alex smiled at his own hunger when he walked down the hall. He was in search for the cafeteria. It was hard being the new student since he didnt know where all the places were but it intrigued his adventurous side. On his way there he met a girl. She seemed to be new as well so he greeted her."Hi im alex" How are you?" he said extremely politely

Yuuki was slightly startled, but quickly regained her composure. "Hello, I'm Yuuki, Yuuki Hawk. It's nice to meet you." She gave a small grin and stook out a hand to shake. "Are you by any chance new here?" Yuuki inquired, hoping not to be the only new student.

Koori looked up at him. "Oh sorry, just spacing out." She walked back to Edmond. "Hi, I'll try to help you." She grinned. "By the way, Koori. Koori Hughes to be technical." She laughed slightly. Realizing she was a mess she blushed. "Excuse my appearance, I ran into a boy in the training rooms."

Miranda Farland limped in through the large wrought-iron gates to the school grounds, lugging her rather large suitcase with her. She paused a moment to close the gates with her back, and looked up at the enormous building in front of her. Her eyebrows slowly rose until they threatened to disappear under her dark fringe; she had never even imagined such an enormous building could exist! Swallowing hard, she squared her shoulders, switched her suitcase to her other hand, and began limping up the long gravel path to the school building.

At least I got here early, Miranda thought, feeling very inadequate when faced with such an alien environment. She wondered as she made her way to the front doors if all the buildings in the cities were so large.

Pausing on the front steps, Miranda set her suitcase down and pulled out the letter she had kept close in the breast pocket of her woolen coat. It was rather crumpled from the many times she had read and reread it in the last few days, but the writing was still perfectly legible. "Room 15," she breathed, as if she hadn't already memorized all the contents of the letter. Shoving the letter back into her pocket, she picked her suitcase up again and pushed open the door.

Miranda found herself in a large entry hall at least as wide and high-ceilinged as the train station she had just come from, with great marble pillars to hold up the ceiling. Miranda found her mouth sagging with shock, and quickly closed it. She looked around helplessly; she had thought she would be able to find her dorm room easily enough on her own, but it seemed she was wrong. Feeling a bit weaker in the knees than usual, Miranda took a hallway at random and tried to arrange herself as though she knew where she was going. She heard voices up ahead, and her heart lifted. Perhaps the little group of people ahead would be able to help.

((I know this is only my first post, but I discovered we're going to be having guests over the weekend, so I may or may not be able to post for the next few days. If I don't post, just pretend my character is standing unobtrusively in the background.))

"Oh it's ok. My name is Edmond Mustang. Did you say your name was Hughes?" Edmond looked at her with a curious look on his face. He was curious to the idea that this could be one of the two childeren of his fathers close friend Brigadier General Hughes.

"Yes... I did as a matter of fact. Why?" Koori looked at him confused. The only thing she knew about the Mustangs, was that his father was an alchemist. She had no idea though that her father and his were close friends. Her mother always kept her in the dark for the most part.

Edmond's eyes widened. "You don't know? Our dads were really good friends. Mom said that he would always use the military phone to call brag about how 'cute my daughter is.'"He laughed breifly, then stopped. "So... what's the school like?"

"Oh... He must of been talking about Elicia. My older sister..." She sighed. I feel so stupid. I can't believe I don't know these things. She bit her lip. "And yes, I don't know. Mother never really told me anything. She was just happy for me to leave... Anyways, the school? Well I'm not sure. First day wasn't fun. This is my second and it's slightly better minus the fact I look like a wreck." She giggled. "The Omen has struck again."
