That makes me miss the Dr. Suess thread.

HOMG REVIVAL.

So. Um, are we going to do this RP thing? I mean, I can help set it up and suggest some content, but like I said in the OoC thread, I'm busy and supposed to be grounded.

:s

HOMG PAGE CLAIM NUMERO 10!

I just found the female version of myself... well like two weeks ago.

heart

I'm creating a metoring thread which WILL involve all the chickies and me.

'Landa: Although I didn't like the way that the guy (Rhidan) roleplayed and would've denied his join requests, it's a bit unclear as to why.

Don't get me wrong, the reasons were all good, it's just that the front page is a bit misleading and I think it's time that we changed it. This is no longer a normal literate guild but an elitist guild. Note that we here are better roleplayers than those in other so called literate roleplaying guilds. True, we aren't the largest but we're by far the best.

Basically what the front page says is that if you have potential, we'll put you up for a mentoring program. The person that was just denied had potential and yet you still denied him. It's better to just make it clear and say "We want all elitist roleplayers." That's about it.

Before, when I joined, Temra was a bit bitchy and technically signed everybody up for the mentorship. Now that we have 'Landa in charge I don't think that the mentorship program is being used... at all.

We should still keep it though, no one's perfect, but clear the whole joining process on the front page.

The mentorship program can be used to improve a person's weak points. Take me for example, I want to learn the correct and proper way to roleplay a female character. What do I do? Head over to the mentorship.

(I've already found a partner during guild downtime so I'm all set.)

I appreciate your concerns, Jarjar ^^ and I'm glad that I'm not the only person who thinks we're elitist, too >> Anyway, I'll discuss it with Val, as well, since he is co-owner. I do think that you're right, though.

The mentoring program is hardly being used for its purpose. It hasn't been enforced, even on members that require it in the first place. It's a useful program for specific needs, but other than that, it really doesn't serve much of a purpose.

I'll have a chat with Val and we'll talk it over and post here for other crew and non-crew members to discuss.

Thanks for posting your concerns ^^

Yep, no problem?

W..wait... V...Val's the co-owner?

Oh my god... we'e all doomed!

We're all doomed to die a most horrible and miserable death!

Watch it, no captain bashing >w< Y'know why?

Cause we can ban you twisted

And I would like to say that Val is a very active member of the LRPA, not to mention an excellent Rper. He deserves the role of Co-owner ^^

Errrm... the question is WOULD you ban me?

I'd think that he would have to pass it by you first. At least he doesn't have complete power.

Besides, now I can live without roleplaying. I think I'll go back to D&D.

Actually, I don't have the power to ban you. If there was a member that I personally had a problem with, I can't do anything until someone else speaks up. That's how it works. I'm not a 'special' person. I just happen to have useful resources, like that little ban button ^^

Yay for Democracy!

Don't forget the edit posts button, invite people and give out the mod status.

Yes those, but invitations are given based on your votes, editing is to enforce rules that you all agreed on and mod status is given to regular users to are incredible helpful towards the guild.

See?! I'm NOT a tyrant! gonk

No, no you're not.

On that note I saw an avi exactly like yours, except that it didn't have the helm.

On a side note:

Clearly there must be something wrong if at least for people are complaining in the OOC thread about me. You can't really ignore that, can you now?

Oh, good!

Well, nothing FORMAL has been sent to me via PM's. No one has come to talk to me personally about having a problem with you so at this point, I can't do anything.

HOWEVER.

I have posted and I don't want to go through another three pages of member bashing. Honestly, I want this guild to be as enjoyable for you as every other member here. I want people to know that they CAN AND ARE SUPPOSED to contact ME or VAL or ANOTHER CREW MEMBER.

Nothing can be resolved without members contacting me. It doesn't even have to be over PM's. Something like:

"Landa, I have a problem with people being really mean/ignoring me on purpose. Can you please do something about it?" I would then talk to those members in question and resolve the issue.

Hey, easier than trying to bash them back, isn't it?

EDIT: On that note, I must go practice piano so I'm ready for my lesson tonight. If you have any more questions or concerns, PM me. Thanks! ^^

*prances around randomly with a black cauldron-ish pot, sprinkling salt everywhere as I go*

Salt for you, salt for me, salt for EVERYBODY!

*singing maniacally, I suddenly turn to face you all and twitch my nose for a second. Blinking a couple times seemingly innocently, I randomly scream, drop the pot, and run off into the far distance*

AHEM.

Ok, to the point of this post.

Maybe in the future people will learn from this incident, BUT.

I believe the reason why the bashing went on is because it is simply more satisfying to go and let the other people know how you're feeling towards them, and maybe others even find it a little fun to torment and mock others.

I for one, found it immensely amusing to watch Jar and Solo at it. ^.^

But still, it's disruptive. I mean, there's nothing wrong with (in my mind) a couple of posts of bashing. It's possibly a bit better than holding in one's e-aggression.

BUT, I don't think that pages or close to pages of bashing should be kept. That's at the point where it gets annoying to other people.
