Fortunately for Elruda, she was able to hold onto the beam with her left hand. Slowly, she forced herself back up. The problem was that from the shock of falling, she had lost control of the Byakugan. Whatever. It'll be a while before she could use it again. All she'll need is dexterity for this...right?

On her second attempt, Elruda had almost fallen off again. Returning to her original position, she stared at the other side. Can she do it? Before she would regret it, Elruda broke off into a run across the beam.

Wrath was starting his cycle of falling off the beam. He hadn't once crossed it fully. The closest he was able to go was half way but he tried again. He rose back up to his feet, stood before the beam, lifted himself up, and then tried to walk across again.

Wrath had managed to cross the beam once finally. But he wasn't going to get cocky about it because of his previous repeated failures. However when he was on the opposite end of the wooden beam he lifted himself onto the ball of his right foot and spun around to face the opposite direction. And once he was safely mounted on the beam he tried to cross again.

It turned out that running wasn't a very good idea, as she fell for the fifth time that day. Elruda slowly got up and climbed back to her original position on the beam. This was proving to be challenging, as she saw her teacher next to her fall as well. But then again, his beam was less wide than hers.

But she fell again and this time Wrath managed to cross. Feeling a bit self-concious, Elruda did her best to concentrate on crossing the beam. This time instead of breaking into her run, she kept her focus on the beam ahead of her, and not the ground.

A pity that she fell again. Elruda shook off her irritation and climbed back up the beam. She isn't going to give up, that's out of the question. No Hyuugas, no, shinobis never give up. More determined, Elruda worked on walking across the beam once again.

This was turning out to be difficult for her. Her dexterity was terrible. "Idiot. And you expected to learn Juuken well in the future? This clumsiness got to go..." She muttered to herself under her breath before trying again. Don't think about how thin it is... She reminded herself.

But what had actually happened was that while Wrath was slowly spinning to face the other direction, he had fallen. He was disappointed but not very. And when he rose he quickly dusted himself off and remounted the beam. Balancing himself on such as thin beam was a pain in the a** but like other parts of his training it needed to be improved.

At last she managed to cross the beam. It was a bit shaky, mind you, but she still crossed. Turning around, Elruda was ready to try walking back. She took several deep breaths to calm herself down before attempting again.

And she fell again. By now, Elruda had given up counting how many times she had landed on her behind, face, and etc. for the day. Instead of complaining further, she pulled herself back up and attempted to cross once again. This was so fun.

And this time she succeeded in crossing. She warily eyed the distance she has to cover before she completes Wrath's quota. As far as her memory goes, every time when it's 'yay, one more try!' it always ended up in her being in pain. Elruda winced, turned her Byakugan back on and attempted to cross.

This time, she successfully managed to cross the beam. Feeling very pleased with herself, she turned to see her sensei still trying to cross his. Well, his did seem ALOT more dangerous than the one she had to cross. "I finished!" She yelled happily, jumping up and down.

Wrath was still falling and it turned out that his student was doing very well either but he could tell she wasn't going to give up. Which he had learned from watching her perform the assignments he gave her. She was very determined and had a lot of spirit. Even with only that she she would make a fine shinobi.

As wrath was crossing the beam he tried to stay focused on it while at the same time answer Elruda. "Good. No go to where those bobbing dummies are and practice your taijutsu." He replied while trying to point to where they were.
