Looking over, Nichiyo saw the other soldier. Apparantly, she had been easier to track down then she'd thought.
"Nothing much. Just wandering around. What about you? Seen anything special?"

"Are you really going to do it though? Go through with our orders and kill the nekos, I mean." Nichiyo didn't really care what his answer was, seeing as he hadn't done anything just yet, but she did need to know his answer for the sake of her cause.

Hef was standing in the middle of the city. He was leaning against the building deep in thought. 'Why did i actually join the army? O, that's right. Stupid caste system! And thanks to that system, it makes it nearly impossible for me to leave the army. Thank you, whoever invented that system!'

"Well I for one am breaking my leash." Those words, though barely audible, were in fact said before a grim smile rose on Nichiyo's face.
"'Dogs of the Military'. It's a lot more accurate than it sounds, that's for sure. Since we're all dogs, what do they call you? You must have a name, right?"

"Your name makes mine seem so lowly." She giggled a little before answering, "It's Nichiyo. You seem sort of new. How long have you been a dog of the military?"

Nichiyo looked at him with a semi-confused look on her face.
"Then why'd you join? There must be a reson, right?"

As soon as she heard that, Nichiyo feigned a small smile and looked more toward the ground.
"So that's why you joined? For the fighting? I see..." She stopped talking and smiled timidly before looking back into the conveniece store and at the ball of yarn that she had previously been messing with, her wheels in her mind rotating quickly.
"Well I guess you came to the right job, if that's what you want that is." She took a few steps in the direction opposite of where he was before looking back at him. "So then if you see a Neko you'll willingly fight it, even if it's done nothing to provoke you?"

Nichiyo looked back at him and at his puzzled expression before looking back at the yarn in the store. She smiled in a sort of attempt to reassure him before stretching her arms above her head and looking at the time.
"Your life over there's....I wish it could be that simple." She giggled slightly before leaning against a building and glancing back at him through the corner of her eye. Her next words were soft and out of place in their surroundings.
"Please, don't do this. This isn't the answer."
