Ryn had entered the library about two hours ago, and he still hadn't found anything that interested him, though he wasn't all that surprised. He had just grabbed one book from each section, and put them on the table, opening them one at a time to a random page to find out what they were about. Most were either technical data, or else historical facts, and neither of those interested him much. Finally he came across an old copy of a Manga, and started reading it. He found it to be mildly amusing and when he finished he got up to find more of the series, as well as return the other books, still wiping his lips with his sleeve.

((Yath's mobile suits are LEVs then , though still Diranium plated lol. They are just more complex since they are manually controlled. rofl Sorry about that Yath. And speaking of Yath, we'll just have to hold out until he returns, and same for Khlover333, whome I'd freely welcome any request for gold when his birthday comes. xp ))
In the dimly lit room of the UED office, Commander Brigs stood leaning against the table, arms crossed as he watched the replays of the armory's security cameras of last night's escape. He was particularly watching the prototype Shift's movements, which made the initial hole in the first place. He kept a stern eye on how the 13-year old novice took control of the red GUNDAM and blew open its containment with the axe-like weapon, and immediately transfigured into stage three for swift escape, then shifting back into stage one for deffensive measures, able to take out three types of weapons on his first try. The commander looked down, his grim face covered by his cap, "The prototype. It seems that the transfigurations are successful."
"Yes, sir, and come to think that it's easily maneuvered by someone without training. The new GUNDAM'S OS is really a success," a tall woman of average feminine shape stood beside the table, hands together and low, wearing similar uniform as the man.
"It's too bad that a rebel took hold of it," Briggs gritted his teeth as he expressed his agitation, not even bothering to look back, his fists clearly held tight.
"However, sir, the prototype's only advantage is its maneuverability as of so far. Its armor was still in development, and could not possibly take even a third of the amount of damage than our Double X can. Thankfully, its equipments aren't very leathal. The only weapons progress made for it are the Bits, and even those aren't placed at maximum numbers. The others are merely placeholders for the real weapons, intact for emergency purposes in the case that the Double X gets taken down and Robert needs a spare newtype-bonding mobile suit, according to the engineers."
A malignant smirk widened on Brigg's wrinkly, yet muscular, face, revealing his uneven teeth, "So the kid's not going to be much of a threat. Unless the EAF has the secretly advanced technology we have in store, they can't possibly complete it. If I am to suspect something, they're going to head to one of the Langrid points if they're ever going to hope for the completion of the Shift. This is going to be interesting."
"But sir, our Neuro-link technolog-"
"And that's EXACTLY why we are going to persue them. We shall deploy our most powerful battle cruiser soon enough, and that tracking device on the stolen mobile suits are going to ring. We'll definitely take them back, and win the war."

After being accepted into the EAF military, Althien looked around. His room seemed like a big empty space to him. "Nlot much i can do about that i guess." He said to himself. He placed his guitar in the far corner of the room. "When i'm done." He said to himself looking at his Gibson Les Paul.
After unpacking his things, Althien lay down on his bed. The desk was set up with his old high school photos, and his personal labtop. Althien took a look at one specific photo. It was him on a beach with a blonde haired girl. He smiled and thought to himself. "I wish i could go back to her."
Althien then remembered. "The commander said he would come to my room and give me my orders. He also said it was something important, something that could change the tide of this war in our favor. I guess i should wait here. And i know just how to pass the time."
He threw himself on the bed, and started to play his guitar.

A twitch of his head and four asteroids exploded at once. Robert steered the last Kamikaze Bit around and pushed it at full speed at a laser Bit, which locked-on and fired at it before the explosive sphere could slam into it. Robert sat back and ordered the remaining Bits back into their containers on his Suit's legs.
He had already practiced with his Saber, and was planning on doing some target practice, when the operators voice fizzed through his speaker. "Kinomoto, Commander Briggs wants to see you ASAP." Jeez, when's the last time he got to actually finish his training? He replied into the speaker, "Affirmative, coming back now."
Robert steered the Double X into the hanger, docking it against the side with the familiar hiss of the hydraulic locks. He kicked off the side and floated to the airlock, spinning around slowly and yelling at the technicians to get that left arm checked out, that it seemed a little slow to respond. Then he was at the door and flipped inside.
After walking down a rushed hallway, Robert found himself in front of the door marked 'Commander Arnold Briggs'. He knocked on it and was promptly ushered inside, where he sat down in the hard backed chair while the commander sat behind the desk in his big leather seat (bet it's real leather, too, not that fake stuff you see everywhere). Commander Briggs steepled his fingers and smiled slowly. When he spoke, it was slow and had a tone of surprised excitement. "We think we know where the rebels are going." Robert sat up straighter. "We have good reason to believe they will be landing at an out of the way Langrid point, about twenty parsecs from here (( author's note: I have no idea have far a parsec is, but it sounds good, doesn't it? )), in order to bring the Gundam Shift out of its prototype status. We are going to send a scout party ahead in order to confirm this. You and your team are this party."
Robert thought for a moment. The idea of finally having a rematch was very, very, but a few things bothered him. "Sir, why not just send the whole armada there?" Briggs spread his hands. "Like I said, we have good reason to believe they're there. But good reason is not a certainty. If we send a battle ship in the midst of some colonies without a good reason... well, it'd be no problem for the UEF, but I'd rather not go through the paperwork." "And the tracker? Why not activate it and make sure?" "Come on, Kinomoto, you're smarter than that. We'll activate it once you're there to pinpoint the prototype, but the moment we do they'll know, and we can't afford to let the advantage go just yet."
The commander stood up and Robert followed suit. "I want you to get your team ready," Briggs said, "You'll be mobilizing in a few days time." Robert headed to the door. "And Kinomoto?"
Robert turned back, knowing what he would say. "Yes sir?"
"Don't screw this up."

Ryn had finally gotten bored with the library, and after returning the large stack of books to their appropriate shelves, he left, waving to the Librarian on the way out.
He walked the hallways of the ship, trying to find something worth while to do. After several failed attempts to get into the Galley (as the cooks still didn't want him in there after his earlier massive meal), he headed off looking for the two kid escapees, hoping to spot the seemingly younger of the two. Eventually he came across a mirrored piece of glass, and managed to finally get all the oil off his face, before he came down another hallway, and spotted the younger of the two escapees. He waved, coming down the hallway, and saying," Hey! How you doing kid?"

Ray shook his head as to ward off the thought. He had no evidence after all, just some sci-fi horror story he came up right off the top of his head. He gave the man a reassuring smile, "No, I'm all right. It's nothing..." but his voice trailed off and he went back into his ponderign phase, looking blankly into the floor. Just then, someone's voice echoed through the walls, and Ray looked up, wondering whose familiar voice it was, "Oh, hi... er... who are you again?" Henever liked forgetting people's names as he felt it drew friends apart of him everytme he'd forget, but this time, he didn't recall an instance the man properly introduced himself.

Elzam sighed, and said, "Alright..." He looked up, and saw Ryn walking towards them. "Ah, Ryn... Hello again." Elzam said as he stood up, "Hm... if either of you need me, I'll be in the hangar." He then bowwed, and headed for the hangar.
Once there, Elzam looked at the three gundams that Ray, Ryn, and Deane had piloted in. "Hm... Ryn's Gundam looks normal... but... Ray's and Deane's look... different..." Elzam said, and aproached the Shift Gundam, "What is your secret...?" Elzam asked it, and shook his head. He then headed back towards the bridge.
"Captain on the bridge!" a crewwoman said as Elzam entered. "At ease." Elzam replied, and everyone went back to what they were doing. "Mission Update?" Elzam asked to his Vice-Captain, Leona. "No, sir." She replied. "Very well..." Elzam said, then, turning to the radar operator asking, "Eita, any readings on any hostiles nearby?" "Negative Captain." Eita replied, his face somewhat stern, "It seems too quiet... like... they're planning an attack right now." Elzam nodded, "I agree..." He turned toward the communiactions officer, and said, "Just in case, prepare Octo and Assalt Squads." "Yes sir." She complied with a nod, and spoke into a PA, saying, "Katina Tarask and Raidiese F. Branstein, prepare your squads for possible attack, do not launch."

After finishing his 5th song, Alhtien walked out of his room to head down to the hangars. While he was walking, he reviewed his transcript he used to be accepted into the military. "Could have been better," Althien said as he threw away the piece of paper.
Once he made it to the hangars, he saw the mobile suits which were stationed there. Personally judging them in his mind, calculating their battle capabilities. "Pathetic." He said to himself.
While walking down, he saw a mobile suit that wasn't like the others. It was a Gundam model. "Now that i wouldn't mind piloting someday."He saw a mechanic and asked where he was stationed. Althien was apparently stationed on the assault ship Kurogane. "But i'm afraid it's station in space at the moment." Althien said. "Whatever," and just walked away

"See yah, Captain.", Ryn said, smirking slightly as he watched him go, before turning back to Ray, and saying, while holding his hand out," I'm Thrynnic Kal, but call me Ryn. I was the first to escape the UED, cause I was pretty much their test subject for memory manipulation. They failed on me, but it seems they've gotten better since then."
He smiled, his thoughts swirling back, to try to remember which Gundam was Ray's, and whether he had handled it well.

Tchai held his eyes away from his face, pushing a small connecting-wire from the jack on his left temple to the connector in the reciprocal area on the ingenious device that served as his field of vision. As the connection was made, an image appeared out of the blackness. His own face, or at least a sonar induced replication, gazed back at him. He used this to run his hands through his hair. My, I am growing up. Tchai sighed and reached for a comb, running it through his hair until it appeared as he wanted it to. He then fumbled about, attempting to swing his eyes in time with his head, searching for his Lazor. This ingenious razor focused a laser that got the closest shave in space. He spotted it lying next to his sink where he had left it after shaving the day before. Why do I even bother? I can't use the mirror anyway. He stood and walked to the bathing station, and picked up the Lazor. Turning it on, a small field of his vision suddenly altered around the head of the Lazor, but it was only his sonic vision being touchy. He ran it quickly near his cheeks, feeling his hair disappear under its heated edge. It gave new meaning to razor burn.
He put on his sleaveless top, he knew it was black, like all of his wardrobe. His cloak was on the peg near the door, but he didn't need this quite yet. Tchai sat down on his bunk again, removing the wire from his eyes and his temple. As his vision faded to black again, the image of his room fading from his view, he lay back, always dreading this part of waking up.
He pulled his hair away from his temples and held his eyes above his face, lowering them until they brushed his skin. He sighed and completed the process, feeling the connectors come out of their casing and entering the holes on both sides of his head. Small claws made their way into metalic connectors around the main connector, securing the metallic band over his face. More wires from the metal spheres that occupied his eye sockets made their connections with the metal band, and his vision slowly came back to life, but now more clear and precise. Like a video without the color.
"Well, I'm ready for the day," He muttered to himself. A PA announcment came on, summoning a few squads to to ready, "And what a day it is, already," He added with a hint of amusement.
He got up, snagging his cloak on his way through the pressure-locked door to his small quarters. The dark fabric fluttered around him as he secured it at his neck, and made his way to Briggs's office.

The meal finally gave Deane that extra edge to figure out what he had been searching for. "That core.." Deane mumbled out loud. Deane hadnt seen one like it and he had also read that making the core stronger would over a time cause damage to the gundam. Not only that but its weapons systems were lacking and weak. Thats why he didint stand a chance against that gundam. Well the best he could hope for is that he could get aan upgrade at EAF headquarters, but it wasnt likely. After realizing this Deane cleaned himself up, threw away his trash, thanked the chief, and left the mess hall on the opposite side he had came so that he could explore the remaining parts of the ship.

"Ah, Deane!" Elzam said, smiling, "Good to see you. How do you like it on the Kurogane so far...?" Elzam then took a serious look, and said, "Ah, I just remembered... the General told me about what to do with you and Ray," He then looked around, to make sure no-one else was listening in, and continued, "This are my orders; I am to make you and Ray part of my crew, and to train you and him into fighting. Once that is done, I am to take the two of you to the EAF HQ, and to give you under the command of General Epilis."
