The Gaian streets are heavily populated and crowded with shops and homes. Night is as busy as day, winter as busy as summer. At all times, people can be found wandering in and out of whatever’s open. Yet somehow, those elite who have, in one way or another, stumbled across the small shop entitled “Descending Angels” and purchased one of those eggs that contain the amazing “dolls” named Angels manage to find one another. They may know each other before hand and meet in a planned location, or it may be a chance greeting that sprouts into a realization that both have the same obsession with the pastime called “Angelic Layer.” Regardless, anything can happen in the streets of Gaia.
Okay...I admit it. I was desperate to RP my Deus. Anyone can join her, whether their egg has yet been opened (in other words, whether the artists have finished your angel) or not. This is mainly for your deus to make new friends and enemies. Something interesting for your journal, right? Hopefully, this, the first RP, will last as a meeting place for those new to Descending Angels and the old standbys alike. But I realize that isn’t likely.

Elizabeth wandered from her house, leaving her Descending Angels items at home. trailing at her heels was a three-year-old Golden Retriever named Kika, slung over her shoulder was a canvas bag full of books, and in her hand was yet another book, yet this one was a spiral with art-quality paper. Indeed, behind her right ear rested a pencil, sharp if rather short from frequent use, its eraser worn to almost nothing. Her brilliant sapphire eyes were fixed upon the page as she held the sketchbook up to catch the light of the full moon. Using the eraser as she often did, she eliminated the less satisfactory of the lines, replacing them as best she could while she was moving, but nonetheless keeping a steady hand and producing a more desirable effect. Her gaze lifted momentarily from the page as she emerged from the street on which her house was built into the busy roads of the Gaian metropolis.
The fourteen-year-old was out with, not only her parents permission, but also their encouragement. Though it may be late, they were happy that, for once, she wanted to wander outside instead of remaining locked within her room, rereading one of her many books for the twentieth time. And lying amongst the many books and papers in her bag was a small cell phone, “just in case.” She sighed before continuing onward to the park in which she had, so unusually, spent most of the morning. Sitting on the same bench she had sat on, she continued her sketch. It was of a humanoid form with a long, loose braid and flowing hair, a feminine and medium-height form, and average proportions. As she elaborated upon various aspects, namely the cloth tied around it like a dress, it became increasingly obvious that the subject was that of the angel she had just defined at home.
Her mouth happily formed the name she had given to this “doll” that was so much more. “Aleia.” Outline completed as best as it would be, she paused for a moment to consider the angle of the light for when she began to shade. Choosing a light source nearly full on, she set to work laying the darker tones and gradually moving to the lighter. Smudging with her finger, despite knowing that this was not good for the art, she blended the tones to a smooth transition. Turning the pencil over, she paused for a second before she began to lift out the highlights. Her head raised and her face pointed to the small building she knew now was called “Descending Angels,” the small building she had gone in to escape the heat, and come out with a friend, and that friend had helped her purchase Aleia. A rare smile on her face, she went back to work on her angel, her eyes sharp despite the lack of good light.

KylieKylie wandered through the park with a messenger bag crossing her chest and her hand on top of it to keep the strap from moving too much. It was late and she needed to get home from that date soon or her sisters would be out looking for her. Funny how her parents realized she was 19 and an adult but Rena and Layla treated her like she was an incompetent puppy most times.
Soon a glint of something shiny caught Kylie's attention out of the corner of her eye and she turned to look, laughing quietly that if shiny things attracted her like that then maybe she was an incompetent puppy after all. It wasn't anything too interesting though...just some girl with golden hair sitting on a park bench drawing with a dog near her legs. Looking at her cellphone quickly to check the time and furrowed her brow then looked back to the girl. She couldn't be more then 16 so what was she doing out this late just drawing? Standing there for a minute she looked around and saw no one else so she tucked herself away and decided to go find out what was up with this kid.

Footsteps behind her did not cause her to look up, though her head shifted positions almost imperceptibly as she continued to shade her picture. She did not worry about being a girl of 14 out this late, reassured by the dog curled around her feet. Her left hand reached down and patted the head of her faithful companion as her right continued to complete the drawing. Her gaze flicked up to the Descending Angels shop as she added the last touch with a slight flourish.
Surveying the sketch she had just finished, she pronounced it satisfactory and bent her head over her dog, rubbing her behind the ears just as Elizabeth knew Kika liked. She was still stroking Kika's long, soft fur when the Golden Retriever turned her head and looked behind Elizabeth. She barred her teeth, playing the role of guard to an extent, though she knew better than to get up fro the soft grass and chase after the offender. Alerted by Kika, Elizabeth stood up and turned toward the approaching female.
The proportions pronounced that she was at least 18, definately an adult. Her flaming red hair drew the eye nearly as much as the preposterous clothes she was wearing. Elizabeth turned from her, for she did not know what to say to someone who so obviously had no similarity in thought process. She pointedly sat down again and flipped to the next page in her sketchbook, attempting to draw the Descending Angels store, though she did not often draw buildings.

Kylie's lips curled slightly as she saw the girl look at her then pointedly ignore her. Well, that would make introductions harder and all the more exciting. Pushing her ponytail over her shoulder she continued towards the blonde, listening to the clip of her heels on the side walk. Kylie smiled and waved to some boys nearby that had been eyeing her which sent them on their way, ashamed at being caught.
Sitting down on the bench next to the girl, ignoring the snarls from the lab, she took off her messenger bag and set it down on the bench next to her, then looked at the sketch in the girls hands. She had just started one of the Descending Angels store across the way. The girl wasn't half bad and judging by her choice of subjects to draw, the girl was a fellow Deus. Leaning back she smiled slightly and crossed her arms, looking straight ahead. "So what's your angel's name dear?"

SayuriSayuri forcefully shut the sliding doors to her house so much that the window panes rattled as she made her way down the cobbled street towards the park, her green zobi sandals clacking loudly as they struck the cobbles. Her siblings didn't understand how precious her angel was and this was constantly infuriating her as they jeered and laughed about the doll that she kept tucked inside her obi. Tugging at the mentioned green and blue silk obi, her gaze fell to the ground as she marched fowards, swinging her arms in time to her movements and sighed heavily. Ever since her 13th brirthday she had retreated to her room, or sanctuary as she called it, to spend time reading up on Algeic Layer and pretending that she and Michiko were battling.
Michiko was Sayuri's first angel and was very dear to her, she would never let her out of her sight, even if she had to use the restroom or go outside. The angel had dark blue wavy hair that cascaded down her back until it reached her bottom with a side fringe and a silvery streak that was neatly platted and finished with a red silk bow to hold it in place. Upon hearing the red haired girl speak to the blonde girl about angels, Sayuri's gaze instantly shot up and hovered on them both, hardly breathing due to the fact that she had seen two fellow deuses. She was intrigued by the brightness of, who she assumed, was older girl's red hair and couldn't find the words or even begin to think of a word to describe it. Suddenly a sick, daunting feeling grew inside Sayuri's stomach, like it was twisting and knotting itself. These 2 girls look like they had a huge amount of experience in Angelic Layer, maybe it was because of their appearance of the way they behaved, but whatever it was made her feel like an utter newbie.

Elizabeth felt uncomfortable from the moment the red-head sat down next to her. The proximity was too much. Kika's soft growls turned into full-throated disapproval when she saw the expression on her owners face. Then the red-head had looked at her sketch. She suppressed a shudder of revulsion, but barely. She so hated it when people would look over her shoulder at what she was doing. Turning the sketchpad upside down so no art was showing, she turned exasperated to the red-head.
"Aleia," she murmured softly, possibly so softly the red-head wouldn't hear. Then, only slightly louder, "May I help you? Her hand now grasped Kika's collar, restraining the dog that so uncharacteristically wished to chase off this strange woman. "Kika," she said sharply, a note of warning in her voice. She was not at all shy or reserved when it came to her dog, yet her voice was still soft. Kika, who had been standing and straining against her restraining hand, sat and replaced the barred teeth with a look of childish innocence, still rumbling her disapproval but much less audibly.

"No. Not really. Just bored and out for a walk. Saw that you were interested in Angelic Layer and thought I'd come say hello but if you wanted me to leave then a less rude way would have been much nicer." Kylie quirked a smile but still didn't move, stretching her arms above her head and yawning. "Didn't realize you were that touchy. Guess we'll see if you have that same attitude come battle time. Might be fun." Finally the red head made a move to get up and slung her messenger back over her body.
As she went to turn away she caught a glimpse of a girl in horribly bright pink kimono. What was this? Run away from home night? Both of these girls looked far too young to be out by themselves.

Sayuri could feel her cheeks turning a deep red as the red-head stared at her and eventually had to look away, pretending to admire a nearby rose bush to hide her embarrassment. Get a hold of yourself Sayuri, why are you so shy? Stop being so scared and go and talk to them She told herself over and over inside her head and took a deep breath before advancing towards the girls and forced a weak smile onto her pale face. Opening her mouth to speak she realised that no words were drifting out and she was merely stnading there like a gawping fish, waiting for some food to magically appear in it's mouth. OMG what am I doing?! I must look like a total idiot....SPEAK SAYURI SPEAK! "H-Hello....." She finally mustered up all the courage she had left and spoke out to them, desperately hoping that they would'nt think she was some sort of freak for the period of silence when she had stood there with her mouth hanging open.

Glancing behind her at the other girl, she was tempted to call after her. She wasn't sure whether she would ask her to return or whether it would be a rude parting remark. But the words were stopped before they could even form as yet another female entered the park. Her kimono was exceedingly out of place in this suburb, and she looked younger even than Elizabeth. Shaking her head at her fashion choice, Elizabeth stood. Kika obediently rose and followed her, paws making no noise on the soft grass.
Unfortunately, the way back to her house would carry her past both the red-head and the girl in the kimono. She contemplated taking a different route, but decided against the extra mile it would add. With an exasperated sigh, she followed the red-head, slinging her canvas bag over her shoulder and checking behind her to be sure Kika was following. Glancing back at the Descending Angels store before it moved out of eyesight, she longed to have the money to purchase the dress she had seen there. The black would go nicely with her angel's hair and eyes, and the dress was much less skimpy than most that the store sold. Beneath it's display, she now remembered, a sign had proclaimed it was the "Moon Dress." Shaking her head sadly, she turned away from the shop as the lights turned off and it began to shut down for the night.

Kylie had stopped when the girl in the Kimono had come over. She was only a few feet away from the girl on the bench and wasn't sure if the greeting was directed at her or the blonde. Watching the girl who was getting up to leave she assumed the greeting was for her if that one was going to be so rude. "Hey." Kylie finally said to the girl in the kimono. What the hell is with all these kids running around the park at night? At least this one has manners...
Turning her attention back to the girl in the sapphire dress who was now up and walking she cocked an eyebrow. Was she going to say something or was Kylie going to trip her as she tried to walk by without second glance? Either way it would make Kylie smile.

A sigh of relief uttered from Sayuri as the red-head replied to her greeting and her smile grew more confident now that she knew that the girl was friendly enough. She too also turned her attention to the blonde girl and furrowed her brow with a frown, was she leaving because of her arrival? I hope I haven't interupted them, maybe she is leaving due to me being here.... "I haven't interupted you two have I? It's just that you are leaving and I hope it's not because of me joining you here." Directing the question to the blonde girl, she gave a small bow in apology whether or not the departure was her fault.
Slowly straightening up she looked more relieved now that she had apologized and clasped her hands together, she hated the way they just hung by her sides when she had nothing for them to do. "It's just that I overheard you talking about Angels and I assumed you were on about Angelic Layer, for I too have an angel." Sayuri explained in a quiet voice, referring to the doll was just was visable in her obi.

As Elizabeth walked the three feet toward the red-head, she paused and hesitated. "What's your angels name?" she called to the red-head, her voice carrying the few feet. She had seen the girl in the kimono's lips move and knew she had spoken, but she had been concentration on keep Kika from lunging at the red-head and hadn't been sure of what she had said. She then addressed the girl in the kimono, asking softly, "Do you like Angelic Layer, too?" Kika had, by now, learned that Elizabeth was not going to let her go after the red-head, and so contented herself with sitting by Elizabeth's feet and glaring at her.
Elizabeth waited for a reply, turning and glancing at Descending Angels once more, unable to resist it's pull on her. As she watched, a figure stepped from the shop and appeared to be locking the door behind her. With another sigh, she turned back to the other two females, watching the one slightly younger than herself, but keeping the red-head firmly in the corner of her eye.
"I am not leaving because of either of you," Elizabeth reassured the girl in the kimono, "I just came out here to draw." And, against both habit and her better judgment, she turned her sketchbook toward the girl so she could see the sketches of her angel and of the shop. With a loving glance at her sketch of her angel, she told the two girls, "I just got my angel today."

Kylie's lips curled as the blonde finally started to seem human. The one in the kimono seemed nice enough too. "Yeah, we were talking about Angelic Layer. Mine's in my bag." Reaching into the bag at her side, Kylie pulled out her doll, long orange hair cascading down in her back and the black kerchief tied about her tiny frame. Holding her so that the other two could see she smiled and introduced her. "This is my Angel. Miyu. She's a Medium build with an emphasis on Speed. Got her a few days ago."
Holding Miyu a little closer now she looked back at the shop. "Either of you battled yet?"
