Forgive me, mods, but I'm not sure where this would go. Move it if needed.
Any words that, when you hear them or read them, make you instantly think "Phantom!"?
Usually I think of these as POTO associations:
chandilear Punjab grasshopper specter ballet and Persian.
My friend said he was Persian, and I half expected him to say he was looking for the trap-door spring in his desk.
Then again, it was nearly the last day of school, I was a little more mad than usual.
So, any words you normally associate with Phantom or related?

Hm...I hadn't thought of merge...
Anytime I hear the words "GO!" or "GOAL!" I expect a violin glissando.

During the period of time between my inital obsession with Phantom, and my re-introduction to it, when my brain had completely blocked out everything about it, one thing remained, and that was a sensitivity to the name Erik. Especially with a "K". For years, on and off, it bugged me about why that name always gave me pause. But whenever I heard or read it, something triggered in my brain and I could not explain it.
Other than that, I don't really have any other experiences as such, though it's been known to happen with PotP.

Yes, same here, Thorn. I have a friend named Erik, and when I found it was spelled with a 'k', I went kinda...nuts at him for a little bit. He said he was actually named after our Phantom!
Oh, yeah, he's on Gaia too. I think his username is 'I Am The Opera Ghost!'
Oh, right. Anytime I hear the word violin, or anything related to it, I think of 'The Enchanted Violin'.

I knew there was somebody out there who would name their kid after a Phantom character.

But the love you never had is etched in stone forever, Reminding you of what might have been... There were two Eriks at my school last year, and they were each in one of my classes. On Halloween, I gave them each a note that said "Keep your hand at the level of your eyes... ERIK!" 'Twas nice.
Pretty much anything reminds me of Phantom. Random things, like sunburns, snowflakes, swans... (That was a coincidence, I swear!) The love you never had stays with you like a shadow: So close, but when you reach, there's no one there... -Erik, The Phantom of the Opera, Tom Alonso

...swans? Do tell, Ela.
But my friends could be talking about something halfway across the room and I hear what sounds like 'Phantom', and I instantly look up like, "POTO?" And they always say, "No, we didn't say Phantom."

Why do I get the feeling that the whole "Swans" thing might have been my fault in a way?
Speaking of which, one time my mom was watching boxing in Spanish on TV and one of the boxers was apparently named Paul Williams. Well, I didn't know if I heard correctly when the announcer said the name the first time, but he kept saying it, and it was making me CRAZY. I kept turning to look as though it was some kind of reflex to jerk my head toward the sound of that name.

Hah, I am a corrupter. It is official.
Well, to be honest, I caught it from Uta, so I can't take all the credit, but hey, I am rather proud of myself.

Due to his recent behaviour I tend to associate "lynch" with "Andrew Lloyd Webber".

Red_Death_Stalking Due to his recent behaviour I tend to associate "lynch" with "Andrew Lloyd Webber". Sounds resonable, RDS. I've been associating a nickname for one of our marching band songs, 'Everybody Out', with Erik. Don't ask me why, but the title sounds like it applies to him.
