A dreary grey day hangs above. The threat of rain is minimal, but the light of the sun is clouded and dull. Summer still has it's hold, making hotter than any soquili would prefer.
Hok'ee beat his tail at his side, resting on the ground. It was high afternoon, and he was starting to feel lonely. Placing his front hooves firm on the ground, he rose from the grass, letting out a good stretch. Where is everybody? He was close to the village, yet there wasn't a soquili in sight. He longed for company, anything to brighten his day. Before he could think more of it, his stomach spoke in a familar tone. Picking up his feet, he began to prance towards a thicket of fruit bearing bushes. His hunger, telling him it was time to eat.

The heat.. It was pretty brutal today, no matter how dark the clouds seemed to look. Of course, heat was a necessity to some living things, but most things did prefer the weather to be a bit cooler. Still, in any case, the weather of this particular season could not be changed, no matter who came about.
That's where this mare came in. She, like a few others, was an Angeni. A lot of other Soquili seemed to believe that Angeni's were very powerful and could do amazing things, when in fact, they couldn't. They did have a few powers, yes, but over all, they weren't much different from the regular Soquili that walked the lands of the Earth. Still, it was nice to be looked at in a different way every now and then.
So, keeping quite to herself, this very blue mare quietly flew down from the grey clouds up above, softly landing by a patch of wild flowers. Her pure red eyes scanned the land in front of her, and from what she could see, no two-leggers were around at all. However, within her line of vision, she did see a lone stallion, meandering around. While this particular mare didn't care for others to oogle at her, she too felt the need to be around another.
Without any hesitation, she very softly began to trot his way, her big wings folding by her side, hoping that she'd hide her Angeni look, at least for a short amount of time.

Hok'ee huffed as his heart began to race from the heats attack against his now mobile body. It didn't take much these days, for one to get exhausted in the heat. It didn't help that his coat was black as coal, for it helped to absord the sun and hold it against him. What he wouldn't give to have a light hide this time of year. A shake rippled across his body as he ridded himself of the thought. Dangit he was hot.
He hadn't quite reached his destination, when he caught sight of..something. Was it a piece of blue sky, that had escaped from the grey days hold? Coming to pleasure him with the promise of a better day tomorrow? No...it was clearly another soquili. He stopped in his tracks and held his shoulders high, waiting for their approach. Not really expecting much more, than for it to be just a soquili.

Uh-oh. He had noticed her. Of course, he could probably see nothing more than maybe her outline, as she was quite a bit away from her. However, being much like a bird in her own aspect, she could almost see him clearly. He was a black stallion with some white features, but not many. He looked deathly hot too, which made this blue mare frown.
Keeping her wings at her side, she continued to trot towards him, her red eyes staying fixed on his position. She hoped he wouldn't notice her other features... Like the wings on her back ankles or the sparkling feathers to the side of her eyes. Still, he was bound to notice sooner or later, and she wouldn't be able to hide herself for too long anyhow, especially if she needed to do something that only an Angeni could do.

He smirked and straightened his head with a slight side to side motion. It was a mare. He gave a big cheesy grin and stomped one foot on the ground. "Good afternoon!" he called out with a hearty blow. The sun glinted through the clouds, and into his eyes as he tried, to get a better look. He foucused as best he could, to see if it was somebody he knew.
He soon realized that it wasn't the sun at all, but a twinkle that came from the mare. Surely, he hadn't met her before. He inhaled and could almost taste a fresh, cool breeze on the still air. Who was this mysterious mare?
He turned and bowed politely, as she came to him.
