My first time making a new topic in the guild.. excitment!

Before I go on I sort of lost the old topics asking about Anita like books and such, so I apologize if she's been mentioned before.

Ok, so today I went out looking for Seduced by Moonlight and was disappointed when I couldn't find it. I did find a copy of Nightseer though so I am pacified for the moment. I got to the register when the woman behind it asks if I'm a big LKH fan. I reply yes (of course) and she asks me if I've heard of L.A. Banks. Before this, I don't believe I have so she explains to me that her story involves a vampire huntress and that it's also a good series and based around my area. She also mentioned that LKH wrote up a nice lengthy review on her which I will link when I find it. That sold me.

I purchased the book Minion (the first of four I believe) and the cover art looks great. The jacket description sounds promising too. I will start it soon as I [finally] finish ID.

So, have any of you heard of or read anything by her? Any opinions or general comments are welcome.

You got me curious so I did a little digging via Google (gotta love Google).... http://www.gravityintegrated.com/books.html

Look interesting but... I won't judge unless I plan to pick up that first book. smile

I have read Minion and now I am about a 3rd of the way into The Awakening, the second book in the series. I like the series so far, but I have been side tracked by Blood is Thicker than Water by Wynette A. Hoffman. I must say the cover art is atrocious! But the story is really really good! I am about 2/3rds into it and really love it.

Ok, checked out the site and it does look pretty good. I am tempted to open it but I really need to stop playing around with ID already. She also writes under Leslie Esdaile and Leslie Banks, though I have no clue what kinds of stories.

D. Monica: Love your sig. Is that a particular character or original? It's distracting.. but in a good way XD

I will have to look into Blood is Thicker than Water as well. I will have so much to read. I need to get on the ball.

I will post again in this thread once I've started Minion.

I too have so much to read. I have the Awakening to finish, but I will finish Blood is thicker than water first. Then I have two more books in the same genre waiting to be started "Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong and "A Girl's Guide to Vampires." I can't wait. Unfortunately I am back at work after my vacation and I am back to working long hours so it is hard to find as much time as I want to read.

But I am listening to the Merry Gentry series on cassette at work, so I get to have some LKH while working. My library only has Cerulean Sins on CD and cassette in the Anita series. Hopefully they will get more soon.

That's my problem too. Working such long hours makes for a crazy schedule and it's hard to find time to read. I usually read on the train but sometimes it's too noisy or I'm too tired. I occasionally listen to books on tape at work but I have yet to find an Anita or Merry related title at the library closes. I'll have to start reaching out further since said library seems to be closing or something (60% of the books are missing and there's been no new titles in a while).

Thats really horrible. I can't imagine having my library close!

I finished Blood is thicker than Water by Wynette A. Hoffman. It was fabulous!!! It is probably my favorite book that I have read in a long time that wasn't by LKH. I can't wait to read the second one, The Life of Reilly.

I am going to look at Amazon right now for it.

Until I get it, I will finish reading the 2nd & 3rd L.A. Banks books.

Aww, I think you changed it. There was a nice looking red head in it before.

I started reading Minion... it's interesting. I like it, but I definitely prefer the Anita books, just because its not such a clear cut good vs. bad based on species.

The lines between good & evil get more muddied in the second LA Banks book in that series.

Yeah, once I finished the book, I saw how that might happen.
Good book.
