Curled up on the ground underneath a large oak tree in the middle of the forest, Zalifur was quite content where he was. He hadn't been bothered for weeks, and he liked it that way. His long jet black hair was wrapped around him and was a definite contrast between his white coat. The stallion kept his eyes closed even though he was indeed awake. It just took up too much energy to open his eyes.
The stallion managed to yawn lazily as the sun hit his eyes. He didn't budge though, not like he wanted to anyway. His huddled up mass moved up and down rhythmically as he breathed.

 Shego was moving along briskly enjoying the day, mainly because it was free of any pests. She headed slowly into the shade and walked along under the forest canopy before her gaze fell on some sort of lump. She moved a bit closer her usual sneer of disdain replaced with a slight look of curiosity, white and black contrasting so oddly on the forest floor.
As she came up closer she realized it was a stallion, perhaps in was dead? She tilted her head and noticed it wasn't dead at all moving in a fashion that suggested breathing. How boring and how lazy!
"How incredibly lazy...what a waste..." She huffed out loud as she moved close enough.

Zalifur's ears flickered as he heard a mass moving nearby. How tiresome... He didn't want to look at whoever was coming or really have anything to do with them. Why was it that he attracted so much attention from unwanted visitors? Raising his head slightly and laying it on one of his legs, Zalifur finally opens up one of his eyes to look at the approaching mare.
Was she... glowing? Shrugging the thought away, Zalifur said nothing as she speaks. He didn't want to deal with her, maybe if he just didn't say anything, maybe she would actually leave him alone.

Shego shook her head in dusgust at the sluggish movements, how terribly lazy could one stallion be? She raised a hoof and stamped it down hard beside his head, danger always caused action.

Unblinking, Zalifur gazed up at Shego, this time with both eyes open. Raising his head, the stallion continued to stare at her with a glassy gaze. "You need something?" His voice was rather monotone, and it seemed to be very tired regardless of how much sleep Zalifur got. The black markings underneath his eyes made his appearance look very sluggish.
He still didn't bother getting up though, since he was sure that she would probably leave once she figured out he wasn't anything interesting. Or that's what he hoped at least.

Shego gave a snort of disgust then decided to dig deeper, maybe he wasn't lazy, maybe he was injured.
"Are you hurt?" she looked over him and shook her head as if answering herself, she saw no wound, nothing to indicate an injury or his sluggishness.
"Or are you simply so pathetic and lazy you wouldn't rise to defend yourself? I pity your mate." she huffed.

Staring at her like she was insane, "Of course not. You are simply not worth my time." Sighing tiredly, Zalifur thought talking was a waste of energy too. Why was he talking to her? He did not know, but it might just get her to leave him alone. "I am in no danger." Even Zalifur's senses were dulled by his laziness.
I pity your mate... What was she talking about? A mate? For once, the stallion couldn't help but chuckle loudly. "Mate. Yea right." Scoffing at the thought, Zalifur didn't need anybody especially a mare to accompany him. He had a bear companion but usually he was out on his own.

Shego tossed her head back and laughed outright at that before lunging up and slamming into the tree with her front hooves landing inches away from his face as a treebranch cracked overhead and fell.
"No danger?" she tilted her head and glowered.
"Of course you wouldn't have a mate...what mare would want such a lazy oaf. You'll fail to ever interest any intelligent female...which is probably good news, your genes won't be passed on and there won't have to be any sluggish pathetic foals around." she nodded.
With a flick of her tail she lowered her head to glare at him.

Raising a brow, Zalifur watched her with a sort of interest in his eyes. What was she talking about? He was in no danger... or so he thought. And she kept bringing up a mate. These ideas were so trivial. He did not cower as she spoke to him. "You are mistaken. Any mare would be attracted to me if I even bothered to take any interest in them. Though chances of that are quite slim. Slim indeed."
Continuing to watch her, Zalifur was beginning to get bothered. Usually, he wouldn't let anything bother him, but just this kalona and her thoughts of companionship were beginning to get to him.

Shego smirked and tilted her head. "Attracted to YOU?" she snickered.
"You must have been daydreaming while laying there, such a waste. What attraction would a mare find in YOU? You couldn't find one if you spent the rest of your miserable life searching, your just too lazy." she snorted.
"You've nothing to offer any femme." She lifted her head once more and grinned triumphantly.

Staring at her, Zalifur felt... odd. He hadn't felt this way in years. Deep down, he wanted to rip her apart, but he really felt too tired to do so. "How dare you judge me." His tone was beginning to sound dangerous. "You do not know me, and have no authority to say whether I am likeable or not." Sighing, Zalifur relaxed slightly. This wasn't worth getting angry over. "I do not need to prove anything to you."
Placing his head back down, the stallion closed his eyes, allowing himself to relax a little. He didn't want to lose his temper... yet.

Shego grinned at she noticed the slight flare of anger.
"Maybe your right...there must be SOME redeeming quality in you, even the most pathetic creatures gain pity. That might do the trick you know, if some mare pitied you." she shrugged.
"I would dare you to prove me wrong, but your right you don't have to prove anything to me, its just pathetic to see you don't even have the ability to shake off your sluggishness and prove it to yourself. Such a waste...if your so apathetic though...I could do you a favor..." she stepped closer with a malicious grin. "and kill you."

Zalifur could begin to feel his blood boiling again. It had been a long time since any anger had inhabited his body. "You're probably just covering for your own insecurities." Sighing once more, Zalifur was beginning to feel tired. All these emotions were just draining his energy.
"You couldn't kill me even if you wanted to." Standing up from his curled up position, Zalifur was not happy about being provoked in this way. "To just shove this in your face, I'll show you that I could get any mare to fall for me." In the back of his thoughts, Zalifur knew he would probably end up not actually doing this, but if only he could get her to leave him alone. Then he could go back to his peaceful life and shun out the world once more.

Zalifur was unsure of what he just did. Was he really going to go gallivanting off to find some mare that will fall for him. Pausing slightly, Zalifur thought to himself for a bit. He needed to rest a little though... Just a little... Dropping back down to the ground, Zalifur curled up into his characteristic ball and fell asleep again. He couldn't help but wonder why he got so angry so easily. He could have easily shrugged her off, but there was just something about what she said.... He didn't feel too confident at the moment.
