I was browsing Yahoo! Answers when I came across this question:Quote: Can u help me friend? iam in trouble? Intrigued (meaning morbidly curious), I clicked on the link. To my horror, I found what appeared to be the product of mixing the English language with a mental invalid, the spawn of some typing experiment gone wrong. Ugh . . . Look for yourselves.Quote: my name is neha, one day i reeived a call frm unknown person i not willing to talk with him, later i knew that he is frnd of my classmate so i started talking "hai, hello" it was a limit. he was always calling and trying to be more closer with me ok i accepted his frndship and talking friendly, he said he loves me i rejected and during my frndship i had sent messages to his mobile.. and he had my no. in his dailled lists now is black mailing me that if i dont talk with him he will complaint to my dad abt me.. if this happens my dad will kill himself cos he trusts me a lot.. he is a respectful person in society.. that boy is torturing a lot he calls at night 12am and talks everyday iam crying feeling to die.. but i love my parents wht to do?.. he is ruling me.. without his permission i should not go out anywhere.. i should not talk with my own friends, if i go anywhere he comes there directly and scoulds very bad words infront of my friends.. i cant say all this to my parents iam coward. Apparently (meaning I hope), Neha is from another country, but still, I was mortified by the sheer . . . incoherence of the post. It's one thing to speak English as a second language, but it's another thing entirely to rape English.
Sadly, it dawned on me that there are worse writings out there. I almost wished that this was the extent of it.

I've had a lot of experience with students whose first language is not English, and that looks like a clear case of it, though I could be wrong.

It sounds like the name comes from India...I swear I've heard it before in relation to India. Can't remember if it was in a documentary or one of the name of an International Student at my school.

Yahoo! Answers is very prone to that kind of text talk. I remember that one day in Academy, I was in the Computer Lab and the girl next to me was on Yahoo! Answers. She was typing something similar to the following:
so dis gy that i lyk dsnt rlly lyk me back. wut shld i do?!_!1?~
Meaning:
So this guy that I like doesn't really like me back. What should I do?
Seeing her typing it right in front of me was enough to make me want to gouge my eyes out.

I does. I believe it is a Hindu name, but I'm not entirely sure. Still... That girl needs help. Tell your parents, honey.

I don't understand how someone can spend hours and hours just answering people's questions on Yahoo. It's just BEYOND pointless.
Anyhow, yes. I've seen MUCH worse than that, unfortunately.

They do seem to have English as their second or third language.

RedKittyKat They do seem to have English as their second or third language. So does the majority of the members back at the Puffy Shrine. The foreign members speak really bad English, to put it bluntly.
