Welcome to The Hallows
Welcome to what will soon be the largest, most comprehensive, literate role playing environment dedicated to Harry Potter on Gaia.
This guild began as a mixed-martial arts fan guild, but after about 7 months, it was switched over to Harry Potter role playing. After reading The Deathly Hallows, I was a little disappointed with the epilogue. I felt the characters deserved far better endings than what they received. We have grown a bit, since being dedicated to only the epilogue, to the whole series.
Part of being a member of The Hallows is literacy. It’s a huge part, actually. We want to continue the tales J.K. Rowling began for us, and it tells a better tale if we do that in a literate form. We expect from our members to:
- Always post at least two, well formed paragraphs.
- No funky colors like yellow or lime green. Keep ‘em easy to read.
- Keep your size reasonable. Better yet, keep it at default. Easy to read.
- Keep your punctuation and grammar at the level of at least seventh grade
- Use third person narrative
- Always follow the rules set for that specific sub forum.
What is there to do around here? Well, you could read some great fan fiction. You could check out the growing collection of fan-art. You can check out our Ask Threads and talk to a few of your favorite characters, or even open your own. There are tonnes of sub forums with lots of role plays scenarios and people to interact with.
Also, within the next decade (haha), a new game will be posted. It will be a dice-and-typing battle system. More on that in the “Upcoming Additions and Events” thread.
Following Gaia’s path, every holiday, birthday, etc. will be celebrated with a small event. It may not be a huge event, but we will have some small prizes, and hey, it’s a great way to interact with guild mates. Each Gaia-run event will feature a thread for our members to hang out in too.
