 mad D This is a drawing of my interpretation of the Raven King from Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke (which is a really good book and you should read it, by the way). What do you think? I'm considering removing the scarf and adding in some sort of necklace thingy.

That's really, really good! I especially love the shading and the drapes on the clothes. Only thing I'd comment on is the raven, it's a bit lifeless. But otherwise, fantastic work!

I don't know, probably the lack of shading (yeah, I know ravens are.. uhm, ravenblack and all but its feathers could be shiny? Or something?) and the pose, maybe. And I think raven beaks are also black?
Maybe I'm too used to looking at this drawing of a raven, that one's just too good.

Wow, those are great!
Did you use charcoal? I never got the chance to try it while I was in school... Damn rodeo art took up all our free time... 'S all good though, I got a blue ribbon. mrgreen
