On feminism, its societal effects, and the subsequent lack of hawt s3xx. Let me start off by saying that I think feminism is great, necessary even. When monotheism became popular a couple millenia ago, women as a whole got nailed (so to speak) with new restrictions. Family lines started getting traced through the father's side, women took the man's name, and eventually women became property. Literally. (That's one of the things that irks me about the gay marriage debate: marriage in the bible was a loveless transaction in which the rest of a daughter's life was traded for goods. Usually pigs and stuff.) And that was before pillaging and raping started coming as a package deal. Recently, however, we had a war that sucked the male work force right out of the US. To make sure that our youth still had shiny stuff to keep them occupied (and to keep making more explodey flying things), women had to start working. The thing was, when the guys came back, their women had developed an attitude. Apparantly leaving the house to work in a factory makes people a little uppity. In any case, having proved that they can work as well as men can, women in general decided that they could make such radical changes to their own lives as owning property and getting a divorce without the guy's permission. Oh, and there was one that sat in the front of the bus instead of the back where she was supposed to, but that might have been about something different. Anyway, after a few decades of this, and having achieved equal status in the eyes of the vast majority of non-bigoted America, as well as an assload of laws to ensure that the morons refusing to cooperate couldn't do diddly to them anyway, a select few women decided they were still repressed beyond all semblance of reason. And so began the feminist movement in earnest. While a good many feminists were/are content to merely try to change the way they are treated as well as prove that they are competent and belong in the workforce, that wasn't enough for the real feminists. No, they knew what had to be done: Generalize the hell out of all males in the most insulting way possible. This was the reason women had been oppressed for so long. Had women several thousand years ago insulted men constantly, there wouldn't have had to be women's movement at all; women would have had these rights the entire time. Which would only be fair, since women are so obviously superior to men in every imaginable way... So I leave you with the following chart, which, I believe, gives a concise visual summarization of the women's rights movement:

And now for part two: The women that wanted to be men. I think the main problem with feminazis (thanks, Chiv) is that they are hypocritical in just about every facet of their being. Think about this: They talk about how stupid, moronic, imbecilic, etc. guys are, yet do everything in their power to be as much like them as possible. They think that anything effeminate is a sign of weakness, or gives power to men somehow. And even then, their solutions/ways of taking a stand make no sense. Like not wearing a bra. Ladies, men didn't start making women wear bras to dress them up or make them look sexy or reduce their freedoms. Corsets, maybe. But bras are worn by women because they want to. Why? Because it makes it so that A) their nipples don't poke through their shirt (especially during the winter) and B) they don't halfway flash everyone when they wear white shirts. And everyone knows guys hate it when either of those things happens. So by all means, continue to spite us by being that much closer to naked. Now, in all seriousness, I do think that the real motivation for a feminazi not wearing a bra is simply to have something more to yell at us about. By drawing more attention to their breasts (which, supposedly, they want us to ignore and treat them like any man), they ensure that they will have a constant supply of things to yell at us about, as well as things to complain about at their next meeting. But the thing I hate the most, as a guy, an upholder of chivalry, and a person with a rudimentary grasp of basic logic, is when they yell at women who choose to be housewives. Women can choose to be stay-at-home moms. That's what they fought for for all this time, isn't it? The right to choose? If after all that, women have no choice but to earn money, then they haven't gained any freedom at all! The supreme irony of it is, none of these psychos has ever been married! (Well, maybe one, but I think she was faking it.) And they can't figure out why they can't find a boyfriend, either. They talk about how man are afraid of a strong, independant women, or how they simply get intimidated because they're not submissive housewives. No, we're afraid of dating a crazy person who spends every waking moment screaming about how everyone like us (that's slightly over 50% of the population) is a complete and total moron. So please, lay off my girlfriend. Since you really want to be treated like a guy, I will remove you bodily from the room.

But we should be closer. HOWEVER: People need to stick to the point. Ok, so you aren't quite where men are in the corporate world. Talk about that; campaign for corporate equality. Don't sit around talking about how stupid men are. And if you're gonna do that, don't do it with us in the room. That's just rude. I for one don't enjoy sitting and listening to people talk about stupid everyone like me is. It's a matter of basic human interaction.

I agree with all the stuff u two have said!! Also the lady in the bus was Rosa Parks, and she was refusing to give her seat in the front of the bus to a white man. She was protesting blacks' rights, not women's rights! Good try, though.

yup but also women have such the uphand nowadays but what really make sme mad is they degrade themselves in the stupidest ways. Who cares if some guys won't go after you since you not slutty and all, the thing is there just to dump to realize what there missing. I believe if women stopped this(not all but most do) then it could be more equal and it would balance out more. As for myself im personally fed up with actors and actress and cough models. it just puts pressure on us and guys too. Since most girls and guys too at points are just so shallow since they want the great body and all. alright i've rambled enough... sweatdrop

if anyone is wondering, there are three waves of feminism. 1st wave~ sufferagettes, getting women to be able to vote 2nd wave~ bra-burning, anti-housewife, wanna-be men (you know waht i mean, there's moer to it than that though ^_^) 3rd wave~ want to be able to choose whether to work and be a CEO or be a mom, just want the freedom and equal treatment in some aspects, like pay and so on i'm personally a 3rd wave myself

Hum ... I am not a feminist, but a tomboy. I hang out with the boys and keep up with what they do and it hasn't been a problem.

um... sorry, but I'm very blunt in everything that I say and do, and if I think they're stupid, female or male, I will tell them. Want a good example? Okay! One time, a few years ago, and before our old house was remodelled, my aunt, mother, stepfather, and a few other people were at the house where my grandparent's and I lived. My mother has never really done anything for me, even during the custody battle she simply signed the papers, then took the money she would've used for me to go buy a used van for her new family (Ed, Dana, and the boys). Anyway, she was calling me "George" again, and like I did when I was 2 and people called me "Sam" (I obviously got over that one, but that's a different story), I said, "my name is Samantha," in a rather uppity tone, because I think that she calls me "George" is repulsive. She replied, "I know, I named you." So, I said, "you mean you actually did something for me?" It made her a bit upset, but if you ask her any little thing about me, she'll answer as if I were still 2, because she doesn't even know me anymore -- she never calls, never visits, nothing. I could take her to court for violating so many of the custody laws it's not even funny. rolleyes
