I certainly hope one of you was watching to see when they chose Mr. Mitzvah to be one of the contestants.
Finally, a Jewish superhero. razz
Of course, he's a multi-millionaire.

Which comes in handy. Look at Batman, he couldn't do anything without gadgets and a giant mansion to hide everything.
He gets the chicks too. BALLIN'! xp
Are you talking about the show on Sci-Fi? I haven't watched it, but it looked interesting.

To King: Yeah I'm talking about the show.
Dark: Who Wants to be a Superhero is a Sci Fi channel reality show, like American Idol. Whoever wins, their character becomes the focus of Stan Lee's next superhero comic.

Jewcano? That's what they called me back in high school!
Actually, after the Great Gatsby, people liked "Jewess"...
What were the names/abilites of the others?

If I'm not mistaken, Marvel is a Jew. Thus, all the heroes from his comics are Jews too xd .
I don't have one hero I wanna be. I'd like to be like Drizzt though...

Superman's name, Kal-El, was originally supposed to be Kol-El -- "the voice of G*D." He was meant to be much like a golem, a figure straight out of Jewish legend, in terms of his superhuman strength and speed and his strong "boy scout" mentality, that everyone could be good, true, pure, and righteous; he himself was incapable of being anything besides those virtues, much like a golem is incapable of breaking any mitzvah because he is created specifically to do mitzvot.
Surely you know of The Hebrew Hammer. The name, by the way, is based on the real 'super'hero, Y'hudah ha-Makabi (Judah the Maccabee, Judah the Hammer), of Chanukah fame.
Ben "The Thing" Grimm is Jewish.
Kitty "Shadowcat" Pryde is Jewish.
Lord Zedd, chief villain in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Not a hero, but still, quite powerful. A villain to be proud of.
The Acidic Jew (Moshe Chomsky).
Atom (Ray Palmer) (DC Comics).
Atom Smasher (formerly Nuklon of Infinity, Inc.) (DC Comics).
Captain Underpants alias Principal Benny Krupp.
Colossal Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes (DC Comics).
Doc Samson (Marvel Comics).
Fathom of the Elementals, by Bill Willingham.
Justice (formerly Marvel Boy of the New Warriors) (Marvel Comics).
Masada (Team Youngblood).
The Monolith (DC Comics).
Prime (Malibu Comics).
Ragman (DC Comics) Ragman (miniseries) #1 Oct. 1991 DC Comics.
Sabra (Marvel Comics). Jewish and Israeli.
Seraph of the Global Guardians (DC Comics).
Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) of the X-Men (Marvel Comics).
Volcana (Marvel Comics).
Batwoman Kate Kane (DC Comics).
Harley Quinn (DC Comics).
Iceman (Marvel Comics) - half-Jewish.
Moon Knight (Marvel Comics) Moon Knight (1st series) #37 May 1984 Marvel Comics.
Sandman (Golden Age) (DC Comics) - half-Jewish.
The Collector (Shoshana Radelburg), a member of the Moon Marauders, first appeared in Strange Attractors no. 5 Gertrude Yorkes of the Runaways (Marvel Comics) - Jewish family, currently agnostic.
The Escapist.
Dr Manhattan (Watchmen) Real name Jonathan Osterman. His father appears as a stereotypical Jewish watch-maker. Jon himself expresses agnostic attitudes.
Magneto (Marvel Comics) - born Jewish and as a boy was a Jewish prisoner at Auschwitz, but turned his back on his human ethnicity and religion and has for years only identified himself as a mutant.
Scarlet Witch -- Wanda Maximoff -- self-identifies with the Rom people, raised by Roa, her mother Magda was Rom, and an Auschwitz survivor, but her father Magneto was born Jewish.
Quicksilver (comics) -- Pietro Maximoff -- he has not so completely identified himself with the Rom, but like his twin sister Wanda Maximoff, was raised by the Rom, and his mother was Rom, while his father is the Jewish Magneto.
Nyssa Raatko -- Jewish mother, non-practicing.
Sublime (Wildstorm Comics) - Jewish mother and raised in a Jewish household but non-practicing.
Arthur (The Tick)
And has no one here ever heard of Shaloman (pronounced Shalom Man), or of the Jewish Hero Corps?

But then, I love playing "spot the Jew." I've been known to see a new TV series and go, "Huh... I wonder if that actor's Jewish." Then I have to go look it up and find out. Anneliese van der Pol, who played Chelsea Daniels on Disney Channel's That's So Raven struck me that way, and sure enough, she's Jewish. A gorgeous example of Jewish womanhood, if I may say.
